"Ethiopia’s staple food is Injera, [a flatbread served with various stews and vegetables], and most people eat it at home, but if you aren’t able to get that experience, Dashen Restaurant is the next best thing."

Good traditional food but service can improve slightly. The entertainment was very good. The doro wot was a bit disappointing with only one small piece if chicken in a sea of sauce.

Excellent traditional Ethiopian lunch. We had a vegitarian/fasting and meat platter and delicious ceremonial coffee. The staff were helpful and the owner was welcoming. She also assisted us with a taxi to get home.

Warm welcome, excellent service and delicious food. The menu has an excellent variety of Ethiopian foods to try, huge portions - we ordered half portions and still couldnt eat it all - which were all delicious; particularly the gomen. Lots of nice touches like the waiter pouring water to wash your hands at the table, before and after the meal; different types of entertainment while you eat: singing, dancing, skits. We had a fantastic night and we will definitely return

I came here for their Doro wet, since I was craving for it, and as an Ethiopian I was expecting great things since I have heard great reviews but it was a terrible experience. The doro was sub-par, it lacks spices, and the chicken leg we got was cut in half. We also ordered the Tibs and it was so small it wouldn't be enough for a toddler, let alone an adult. Things are expensive here. But the interior was very nice, it was very beautiful, very traditional and shows Addis Ababa in its the old era.

The atmosphere was amazing. There is a live performance who give thier all regardless if there are 50 people or just the two of you. The fasting combo is great with a variety of dishes to try. The service is just outstanding.

Came here for a family dinner, was about 14 of us. The service was great, very quick and observant. The food came fairly quick, it was amazing, tasted very authentic and delicious. It was a Saturday and there was plenty of entertainment. Singers and dancers, dancers also come into the crowd and make you dance.. be aware if you're shy lol. Great time, great food, with the people I love. Incredible.

Excellent traditional Ethiopia food in the traditional sitting. Nice outdoor patio space too. We tried several food options and they were all excellent. Service was really good too.

Moderately nice outdoor space, good food , but a slow service and mind you it was well past lunch time 3.00 pm to be exact. We had to wait a good 20 minutes before the owner noticed and approached us, took our order of 1 breaded & pan-fried tilapia and a half fasting combination(beyaynetu). The fish was really tasty n cooked well but the 1/2beyaynetu was disappointing not in taste but in presentation due to to the half torn injera (flat teff bread) and the waitress' attitude serving the food. I would recommend they ammend their serving portion policy which states that you could only choose upto five sauces out of 10 (acceptable) and the injera to be served half torn which is a big No No in my judgement and crank up the waiting service quality up to par in terms of attitude and speed. I have attached 3 pics comprising of the fish, half torn fasting combination and the bill for spectator's judgement.
