I’m a sucker for these out of the way spots that still hold all of the charm(s) of the businesses that were there before. Key West is full of them. If you are familiar with KW, you know there is an Old Town and New Town. This place lies somewhere between, and carries a little something from each. I’m not going to sugar coat this next statement; it’s expensive. Do not come here if you are looking to load up on snacks for a day at the beach, bc you aren’t going to enjoy the price tag, but what you will enjoy is the variety of healthy options, organic, vegan, and paleo items. I’ve never seen a store with more to choose from for just about every food trend you can name. A juice and smoothie bar (of course!) a cooler full of fruits and veggies, energy and wellness drinks, plus shots of every kind. Sugar free, gluten free, grain free, you name it! I really liked this store, but you are going to pay for all of the goodness. They serve breakfast sandwiches and the avocado toast was amazing and there are shaded benches in a really quaint area right outside the store. Sometimes you can tell just by the name that the place will be worth finding; this is one of them!

Fresh smoothies. Great clean breakfast options. I wish there was more seating and more seats out of the sun. My group had 4 of us and the total was $99!! Steep prices here. We got smoothies, açaí bowl, breakfast wrap, and the bagel. The market inside is fun to look around

Amazing place for breakfast, lunch, take away or eat in. A few quiet and nice tables in the sun. Service is great, all people very nice . Delicious food although slightly overpriced . Would def recommend

As a vegan, I feel genuinely appreciated, valued, and respected at Date & Thyme. It’s more than just a café — it’s a welcoming space where I can connect with others and fully enjoy the vibrant, laid-back atmosphere that makes Key West so special. Everyone there is incredibly kind, and I find myself looking forward to going every week. It’s a place that feeds both body and spirit.

Everything on the menu sounds amazing. Shared a bowl, smoothie, and treat! All delicious and would definitely recommend!!

This is such a wonderful place that is a must see/support when you are in the area. For someone like me who has celiac disease it is peace of mind that I’m able to eat not only something that is safe for me, but also that is very healthy. The staff are warm and friendly and it is quite a charming store. Can’t wait to go back when I visit again.

I researched this place ahead of time before arriving on my trip to the keys and loved the fresh organic veg food. The shop had a lot of varieties of holistic organic items from food to vitamins to local artist (book authors). Mom and I wanted to try the bowls and they were both fantastic we shared them. I also got a bagel sandwich which was fantastic the bagel soft not chewy. Wish we had this place back home!! Thank you!!’

One of the few places that have some parking for you. Limited space but some is better than none. All seatings are outdoor. Go into the market and there is a small shelf for the menu across from the register. You order at the register and wait outside for your name to be called for the order. I'm glad they are here to provide vegan/veggie food options. Got the breakfast wrap: 4.5 stars. Surprisingly delicious despite simple ingredients. Thin wrap so I can actually taste the food besides the wrap. The pico de gallo made the whole wrap tasted so good. Everything was just right. I really enjoyed it. Eggs, salad, pico de gallo, avocado. Pina colada smoothie with protein powder: well done. Berry bliss with spirulina and plant based protein: pretty good. Love the healthy ingredients and options for boost. Veggie burger: my mom had this. She enjoyed it. The cafe also has cold salads for sale. Got the vegan Greek salad. Haven't tasted but will try.

Great vegan food on the island! Got breakfast here 2 mornings in a row. We ate outside on the 'patio'. Tried a variety of vegan dishes and I was impressed by all. Loved their veggie garden pesto wrap as my favorite dish! Another favorite is their vegan blueberry muffin. So moist and full of berries. Service was friendly! Food was quick! Parking in front. Customer bathroom available. A must try for breakfast or lunch!

Now one of my favorite places ever. Amazing selection of organic and healthy groceries plus a great food menu. Loved the smoothie bowls! Lovely outside seating in a quaint neighborhood away from the madness of Duval. Loved the slaw too. Highly recommend. The matcha latte is not sweetened. Yay!! So good.

One of my regular spots when visiting the Key West. I love the variety of healthy options including vegan and gluten free. The Golden Milk late and matcha lattes are yummy. The smoothie bowls are also delicious and refreshing. The patio is also a nice and shaded.

This place is a hidden gem! Thank god they have parking for their customers because I don't live in key west and it's always a mission to find parking in this particular area. First time I came here I missed the cut off time for when the cafe stops selling food (off the menu) so I opted to get one of the premade packages from inside the refrigerators. It was delish and some stuff was even on sale so that was nice too. I will say, since there isn't a Whole Foods or Sprouts down here in the Keys, the market here is the closest thing to it and I really appreciate this place for giving us organic and healthy options that is so needed in the keys. Publix and Winn-Dixie have such limited stock of these items and this market is a goldmine for finding the products that align with my lifestyle and dietary restricts (GF). Thank you so much for carrying the products you do!!! Second time I stopped by I made it in time to order off the menu and opted for the Jerk wrap. Overall it was good but my personal opinion... I will order with extra sauce next time. I felt it was a bit dry for all the veggies in it! But the flavors were good and I would order it again! Between the market and the cafe, this place is great. The only thing I don't care for is that there's no inside seating, only outside. But that's just me being a Miami girl at heart. Need to get used to the island lifestyle!

I've been to date & thyme almost everyday that I've been in key west. Their smoothies are so good and full of good ingredients. My favorite so far has been the strawberries & cream smoothie. I've also been looking for a good latte and date & thyme has the best! This week I tried the teddy bear latte and the s'mores latte. The teddy bear was my favorite! Staff were all very friendly and kind. Definitely will be going back!

smoothies are really good no complaints there! however i had a bad experience with the matcha and the owner was super accommodating and responded so fast about getting me a refund! She was super nice and helpful!

Ahhhh.... when you find this place while in vacation, you'll go back multiple times. A cute little outside sitting and inside is an organic everything. They have ready made delicious healthy items and made to order as well. Celebrating our 39 year anniversary, the day before was lots of drinking.. lol.. which we do not practice that much back home. Hahaha.. So... my stomach was not well the next morning. Needed a juice to settle it. When we found that hidden little place, I knew my day is saved and I would feel better to carry on with our vacation. I ordered the Gold Milk and their breakfast bagel. My husband ordered a smoothie with pineapple and same breakfast bagel. Wow, what a great breakfast, the bagel was soft and fresh, the eggs, avocado, and spinach and their drizzle of whatever that was made this bagel one of the best ones we've had in quite awhile. The drink immediately soothed me with its warm turmeric, and the bagels were superbly delicious that we came back the next day to have the same. Don't forget to stop here, you won't get disappointed! Oh.. and when you feed the little Chicssss (didn't see the "Don't feed the Chickens sign until after I gave them a few crumbs, sorry), they will start pecking your feet as to say... give me more... lol. Caution Hahahha. Cool name too! Cheers :)

would choose to have a date here any thyme i'm in key west. yay for plenty of vegan options. vacationing as a vegan can be rough. before we booked our trip my partner made sure there would be some vegan options and date&thyme was our first stop. the first day we arrived after 2 so the cafe was closed but we were able to grab some awesome deli style items from the fridge. we loved the broccoli salad, dragon tofu, indian summer, and asian dragon salad. later in the week we caught a morning vinyasa class at key west yoga sanctuary then popped over to date & thyme. we got two smoothies: strawberries & cream and purple jungle. i preferred the strawberries & cream. it was not overly sweet making it a refreshing choice. we also got the chicken club but make it vegan with tempeh on a wrap and the breakfast wrap. the tempeh was very salty and flavorful. the breakfast wrap didn't feel very breakfasty to me. it was very similar to my chicken club wrap. we could barely tell difference. i would love to see some tofu scramble somewhere in the breakfast items. we were super impressed with the deli items but the cafe items not so much. but i'd still give 5 stars for the vegan abundance.

My wife is a vegan and she was excited to return to this vegan friendly restaurant. We were unaware that the Kitchen closes at 2pm so by the time we could find parking it was a few minutes before 2pm. As we walk in the door the cashier says if you want food you have 1 minute to place your order. Wow nice greeting. I am not a vegan and normally need a few minutes with the menu to find something I can eat but since we are at the 45 second mark, my wife says veggie wrap. The cashier said "spring roll"?? No my wife says, veggie wrap. Do you mean the "pesto wrap" Yes, I guess. Well if we had a minute to look at the menu, we would have known what to call it. At this point we are down to a few seconds and I just say I will have the same. Poor customer service at best. Bad for business 100% second and last time we will ever eat here. Almost forgot the dirt table we had to eat off of.

Great food, friendly folks, very close to work. I had a bagel egg sandwich thing, and it was deeelicious ! Recommended for sure.

Visited here twice during my stay in the Keys. Tried the jerk vegetarian wrap which was outstanding. Tons of flavor and it was quite filling for being plant based. Also stopped in for a celery juice. The juice was great but at $15+ including tax I feel it was a bit overpriced. Still have to give this place 5 stars for the quality of food, presentation, and the employees are wonderful. They only have outdoor seating, but provide fans so your meal can still be an enjoyable experience.

Happy spot. Friendly people. Great selection. Fair prices. The fresh coconut milk in your coffee is a must!

I came here with my Wifey for a quick breakfast before she had to fly back home. I was in the mood for something refreshing, and although I normally order something that my wonderful wife would not make at home, this was just what I needed. They made it super quick and everyone there was very friendly and helpful. It was delicious.

Mushroom latte was amazing, really cute spot with a relaxing atmosphere outdoor seating only. Definitely expensive but worth the cost for fresh healthy drinks!

The owner doesn't honor the yelp discount of 10% and she said there is no affiliation with yelp. We ordered three apple vegan gf loafs, mushroom coffee and indian summer. Kitchen closes at 2 pm, and they can't make food or juices. Coffees etc. are available.

THE BEST FOOD IN KEY WEST. Period. When we return to Key West next, we'll probably eat here all 3 meals of the day. Super delicious food! We tried the Veggie burger and Jerk Wrap, and unlike the usual black bean and vegetable patty, their burger and wrap had a lentil/oat/vegetable patty that was super flavorful. The side salad was super yummy as well. This place CANNOT BE MISSED if you like GREAT FOOD! Put it on your list of places to go to while in Key West. Can't recommend it enough.

We literally walked over a mile to go to this spot, because our other failed attempts in the earlier part of the morning lead us to here. Finally, an awesome little breakfast spot in Key West. It is one of two spots that we found that were great, this one has an incredible Tempe burrito, and a Tempe bagel option that knocked our socks off. The staff were super cool and sweet and their little shop has pretty much anything you could ever need in the food department. Thank you for having a compassionate, plant-based menu that isn't just peppers and onions.

This is a cute small grocer and restaurant. . . I ordered a pesto tempeh wrap which was delicious and bought hummus and almond flour crackers "to go" from the grocery. The clerk was awesome directing me towards the sandwich when the hummus wrap I wanted was no longer on the menu . . You should definitely go eat here!

This is the best kale salad I've ever had. I will definitely try to replicate it at home to incorporate more kale into my diet. Everyone that works here are so nice and happy, making it a very pleasant place to be. I came an hour after the kitchen had closed and was bummed as I really wanted a smoothie with my salad. The guy that works in the kitchen I'm guessing said he'd make it for me still after hearing how bummed I was. People that go out of their way are rare now a days. I very much appreciated that kind gesture. To top it off the ambience is very cute!

I came here years ago on a trip to the keys and always remember it because I was intrigued by all the goodies in the market. I wasn't big on Yelp back then so I'm not sure if I left a raving review (looks like I just had a Mexican salad anyways) but on this visit, we saw that here was a new menu that rolled out a couple days ago on Valentine's Day. Everything looked so good! I asked the cashier which was better between the Spicy Chicken Wrap (sub with Tempeh) or the Jerk Wrap and she said the house made veggie burger was really good. She wasn't kidding! I ordered mine with slaw instead of chips and it hit the spot! I wish my husband would have ordered something other than an acai bowl so I could have tried something else but we'll just have to come back on our next trip to Key West! If you haven't stopped by here for breakfast, brunch or lunch, what are you waiting for?! So many options for Vegans and vegetarians.

Fill'Er-Up! On our first morning in Key West, we found this cute cafe/health food store on our way back from having cuban coffee at The Cuban Coffee Queen. They are located far enough off the main drag (Duvall Street) in a building that used to house a gas station. I really liked that they've switched the karma of this space with such a healthful business. Inside had a lot of plant based products we rely on when traveling. We placed our food order at the counter/cash register, and picked up a few pre-made salads from their grab-n-go case. The ladies working were super sweet, and gave us a list of other vegan places to try out on the island. Super good vibes. We took a seat outside on the patio and waited for them to call our order. There isn't a lot of seating, especially ones in the shade, but it's very relaxed and peaceful. We had: Breakfast Bagel  $9.95 Sliced tomato, red onion, avocado, sprouts, vegan mayo and house vinaigrette on a toasted whole grain bagel. We veganized it with substituting eggs for their in house marinated tempeh. This was so delicious! They make their own bagels, and they are otherworldly. Kale Caesar Salad $12.50 Kale in a creamy vegan dressing, with hempseed 'parmesan', wheat free croutons, and spicy pumpkin seeds. Delicious and healthy. Key Lime Pie Smoothie $10.95 Banana, spinach, dates, lime, hemp seeds, and vanilla blended with our house-made coconut milk This was refreshing and helped with my semi hangover from the night out on Duval. Matcha Latte $4.95 Loved it. Went back here a few times in the four days that we stayed in KW. I wish that we could have come every day. What a gem of a find in Florida.

Awesome healthy and delicious breakfast in a pet friendly outside atmosphere with a market attached. The service was the best. I loved the short walk away from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street through a quaint historic residential neighborhood.

It's easy to overindulge when you're on vacation and have it start to weigh on your pockets and step, this spot was a great reset. My mom and I were looking for something more than an overpriced fruit bowl and we stumbled upon this awesome spot that had açaí bowls. We ordered an açaí bowl and spirulina bowl, both were absolutely fantastic, better than we expected, and we come from the home of "playa bowls"! We also ordered a latte that according to my coffee snob of a mom was delicious and BETTER than Starbucks, sooo... lastly,the service and the vibe is just amazing, a must visit.

Loved this coffee, breakfast, lunch stop. Friendly service and great choices for people like me who can easily suffer I'll-effects of soy, gluten and other additives to food. We drank our hot coffee outside, and I bought a tuna wrap to go--it was all delicious. For our visit, it was cash only because their card system was down. Luckily, we had cash to get everything we wanted. Good vibes here.

A must visit while in Key West! Following a motto of clean eating, this cozy spot offers a variety of delicious, healthy and filling breakfast and lunch options. The meals have fresh ingredients, generous portions, and keep you energized for the rest of the day. There are multiple vegetarian and vegan options. Pricing is also very reasonable. We loved it so much, we visited two days in a row! I really enjoyed their peanut butter and banana smoothie "Happy Monkey", which was so smooth but rich and nutty. My top favorite though was their coleslaw, which is included as a side for their lunch wraps. With a mix of kale, shredded carrot, cabbage, walnuts, goji berries, cranberries and much more, the slaw had a satisfying crunch and the sweet and salty flavors were very refreshing. There is a small convenience store as well, stocked with some pre-packaged food items, as well as snacks, supplements, and some groceries. I also want to commend them on the creative measures placed for social distancing due to COVID-19. Outdoor seating only, and the number of people allowed inside to order was strictly limited. Laminated menus and hand sanitizer dispenser were provided outside, and a green light by the door would indicate when the cashier is available to take the next person.

OMG no words can describe how amazing this place is! Any trip to Key West - if you need a fresh, organic, clean meal - you cannot miss Date & Thyme. My husband enjoyed their tuna sandwich and I loooved all their wraps. You can order the wrap as 1/2 so I got to try 3 different ones. The smoothies are also excellent and I wish I could come here daily!

There aren't as many fresh/healthy eating options as I would have expected in Key West so was glad to find this place. We have allergies to gluten and soy. If you're someone who has allergies or is on a funky diet - gluten free, soy-free, vegan, keto, paleo or maybe you just like to eat organic....this is your place. Small shop with kitchen and outside dining. They sell all the typical high end gf/paleo type foods like Siete chips/wraps, Canyon Bakehouse bread, fulvic minterals, black water, etc. not cheap, but this is the going cost of healthy food. Use avocado oil in their cooking rather than cheap oils. Workers were very pleasant and helpful. Really enjoyed the gf breakfast wrap (siete wrap). Too much lettuce in it, but the sauce was awesome! Very generous serving - I could have been full with 1/2 of it. Given the size, pricing was pretty reasonable. Be sure you don't wait too long to eat it or the bottom starts getting pretty drippy. Acai bowl was fresh and delish, including goji berries and cacao nibs. Enjoyed some other items from the market for later in our trip as well. Parking available out front.

Fantastic ambiance! Love the vibe here, which was nice and relaxed. Great food! Had a smoothie and breakfast with eggs, kale and sweet potatoes.

This was such a disappointment. I had been excited to check this out because the menu had a lot of vegan options. I went over for lunch and ordered a tempeh sandwich. The paper menus at my hotel had listed this as an item. The staff told me that they no longer have a tempeh wrap but that I could pick another wrap and swap meat for tempeh. I did this with a chicken wrap. It said very clearly on the menu you could make wrap vegan by subbing tempeh. I walked back to my hotel only to realize they had made me a chicken wrap. This was really upsetting- not just because my order was made wrong and I had to walk back- but upsetting to see meat when I'm vegan and to see animal meat, knowing I almost bit into it. The staff re made my sandwich and apologized for the error- but mostly in a way of- we made the order wrong. No acknowledgment that a vegan meal was made with meat. They are supposed to be a vegan friendly shop. There was no offer to refund me or offer a free item- which would have gone along way with customer service. Additionally the tempeh was very salty and the wrap disappointing. I spent $45 between the wrap, a smoothie, & a vegan cookie & 2 vegan caramels. I also had spent $17 the day before on an iced coffee drink and some candied ginger. My partner had also bought a smoothie the day before. I say this only to name I had frequented this store multiple times and expected the mistake to be handled with more care.

Organic, delicious and the coziest patio! What's not to love!? I had the açaí bowl and will return! The staff was extremely nice and friendly enough to ask my name! Love the connection that was made! I shopped around and sat outside to enjoy a refreshing lunch! This is one stop you don't wanna miss!

Favorite place in key west! Would go there everyday if time permitted. Cafe with little outdoor seating and a market. This review is Only about the food which is excellent. You order in the market and they bring food out to you. The seating and tables are small. The food is amazingly clean tasting and fresh. The juices are natural and the vibe of the place is all about healthy eating. Would definitely go back.

Great healthy breakfast! We especially loved the green juice and green smoothies. My son loved the piña colada smoothie too. A great reset from all the heavy vacation food. This was delicious!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really generous portions. I had the breakfast bagel which was so stacked I could barely get my mouth around it. The mojo sauce gave it a pleasant kick. My friend had the jerk tofu wrap which he thoroughly enjoyed. Nice selection of craft sodas and kombuchas. Some cool pre-packaged carry out options as well.
