We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful art deco hotel. It's a cosy, quite hotel very well located. The staff is very friendly. We travelled by car and got a good parking deal at Amarika parking 🅿️ for less than 10€ a day (ask parking attendant). No airco, no elevator and no breakfast but plenty of coffee bars (Casablanca is our favourite).

Excellent location, friendly staff. The entrance and the reception is over decorated! No lift Rooms are OK-ish. Parking arrangement is with a local underground parking garage. (I got a voucher that gave Eur 4 discount on 18 Eur bill). No Airconditioning so the night was very warm (even after keeping the windows open) Location - 9/10 Staff - 8/10 Room - 4/10 Value - 4/10 Recommend - No Return No

Great location in the heart of Vitoria-Gasteiz and quirky furniture! Receptionist who checked us in and helped carry our bike bags was very charming, and taught me that “las mujeres vascas son fuertes😜”.

This hotel is in Pinxto street, best part of town to stay in. There is no bar, restaurant or lobby to sit in. The room was small but fine for a couple of days stay, longer I think you would need more space. Also the walls seem very thin and there was a lot of noise from rooms next door and above. The bathroom had several steps in it and had the potential to be a death trap in the dark or with a wet floor. There was a wardrobe but no drawers for clothes. Overall I think it was good value for money.

A very pleasant place to stay in the centre of the city, with car-park in a nearby square (ask for the discount ticket at check-in and present it to the garage staff the evening of your arrival).||||The decor in this place is very definitely 'something else' and if not exactly to our taste, it was a fascinating mixture of styles! The room was perfectly fine, and during our winter visit was pleasantly warm. Our only grouch was the door to the bathroom which was of opaque hinged glass without a handle and thus did not fit closely. Every sound from the loo and bathroom was audible to anyone in the room. Privacy wasn't ideal.||||This is not a hotel, despite its name and it does not offer breakfast. There was always a member of staff at the desk, however, and they were extremely helpful and pleasant. ||||We found a lot of restaurants and cafés nearby and it's in a pedestrianised street in the middle of the shopping area.||||There are a lot of stairs if you are lodged at the top but there appears to be a working stair lift so those who are less able to climb would have assistance.

Clean tidy rooms but lacking basic services, ie drinking water not even available. Would suggest leaving a couple of bottles in rooms for guests. Very good location, central to everything & reasonably priced. Place across road serves good breakfast.||Staff nice. Lot of large fake ornaments about the place & inclined to take up too much space in the corridors etc.

In a pedestrian zone in the city centre, on Calle Dato (a previous reviewer meant it is on the street with many pintxo, or tapas bars). Easy to find. Reception is in the hotel, what does the other reviewer mean ? No traffic noise but some from cafes, it is spain after all. If this worries you, ask for an interior room. Kitsch art nouveau decoration, lovely. Friendly staff. No lift Good value

My long stay at Hotel Dato was a great pleasure. Not only was everyone, without exception, kind and helpful, but I felt I'd found very good people in a new land! The room was well-appointed with everything one might need to both be comfortable and in touch with the world through the free wifi connection. The garden outside my window was a delight. Being in the center there was almost immediate access to the city-wide public transportation system, train station, fine restaurants, theatre, and Culture House.
