D'Atri's Restaurant

The service here was delightful. The waitresses were smiling politely and they were all welcoming and friendly as well. I also quite enjoyed the family restaurant atmosphere that the restaurant has, it makes the dining experience quite cosy. The food itself was pretty good. I enjoyed their crab cake and the onion rings but I do feel like the crab cake was missing a bit of flavours. I did however enjoy the taste of the crab meat. The coleslaw was a bit too sweet for me as well which I did not enjoy as much. But, I really like their large amount of options you can pick from for the side dishes, it makes for more fun combinations and it's just great to be able to try different things every time you come here.

A Burger Worth Marrying Into!" D'Atri's Restaurant is the secret to a happy marriage. I had the burger and fries on a homemade bun, and let me tell you, it was like biting into a love letter written by a chef. The homemade bun? Soft, fluffy, and sturdy enough to hold a burger that could solve world peace. My wife loves this place (and frankly, I can see why). We all know the rule—happy wife, happy life—and after that burger, I'm on a whole new level of marital bliss. If you're looking for a meal that will make your taste buds sing and your spouse smile, D'Atri's is the place to be! 10/10, will be back... and so will my wife!

First time here! Just ordered sandwiches to go but they were great! Chicken salad sandwich and comes with seasoned lettuce e and I don’t know what kind of pickles were on their sandwich but their pickles are delicious! 🤤 will def be returning when we are in Cumberland again. ❤️their menu had a bunch of other delicious choices. Apparently their steak and cheese is unmatchable! And their bread is made at a local bakery. Very good.

We got a large steak and cheese hoagie with fries. The hoagie filled the entire. The homemade bun was soft. Didn’t have to wait long for food. Definitely worth the price. Staff was very friendly. Homestyle atmosphere. Definitely visiting again!

I really enjoyed the salad — it was big, fresh, and the chicken was super juicy. Everything tasted great, and I’d definitely order it again!

This is my first time at D’Atri’s as I have previously drove by this restaurant. Their steak sandwich is what they are known for however I was not in the mood to pay $14 for a sandwich. So, I ordered the lasagna. The lasagna was very bland and hardly had any taste. My family member ordered the chicken salad sandwich and they were very unhappy with it. The chicken salad sandwich was mostly just chicken chunks. I’m glad I tried the restaurant, but I won’t be back.

2nd time here, both lunches - one early, one late. Service can be hit or miss but no major issues. And certainly never bad enough to put me off coming here. I've had the cheesesteak salad and buffalo chicken salad. Love the seasoned lettuce and pickled peppers. Prices are a little high but portions are fair and everything is hot and accurate. Large menu, plenty to choose from, fresh bakery, definitely a great option for the Cumberland area. Give them a try, we love them and stop every time we're in the area.

I ordered the steak and cheese hoag6. When I deconstructed the sandwich I thought the bun was toasted but just hard. Next layer was a sweet mayonnaise. The provolone cheese was not melted not even where the ground beef was laid. By the taste I could not tell what cut of meat it was. I could have gotten plain ole hamburger. The finial layer was loaded with a salad drenched in a salad dressing. The meal was not visually pleasing. One would think that the sandwich would at least warmed by the meat but it was served cold. I only ate half to be polite and tried to resurrect something out of it latter but the salad dressing overpowered the end result. Not a big fan of the place.

Went to D'Atri's twice while in the area for a motorcycle rally. One early dinner, one breakfast. The dinner, we were seated very fast, no wait. The food was good, and we were served quickly. The breakfast was even better. Only a minute wait for a table, as it was VERY busy, and the service was also great. The portions were HUGE and I was so full, I had to waddle out. Plenty of lot parking makes this a go-to in the area for any meal.

Ode to fellow Yelpers. You Rock! Staying at hotel Nextdoor. And looking for some gluten free options. OK! Let's get to it. Architecture, decor and ambiance are tired. You do not bring a date here. This is more like year 2,3.... Service is friendly and attentive. But that salad creation!!! Secret family recipe seasoned lettuce!!! SO GOOD!!! DAYMN!!! I've no idea how this came about. The cheesesteak at the bottom is ok. Nothing too special. It's good but not town crier good. But you put this whole thing together.... My Good Lord! Glad I got a large. I demolished this thing. I will absolutely be back. Oh, BTW, get the hot peppers option. They were the perfect combination.

Good food selection. Been stopping here for decades driving between Ohio and Virginia. Today ordered corn and crab soup. Every ingredient was very fresh too bad the chef had a very heavy hand with salt. Same salt situation with the burger. It was too much. Remember, salt can always be added at the table if needed. Still a favorite stop for me.

Family friendly place with two floors Extremely friendly employees, amazing food, with a relaxed casual atmosphere. We started with the crab, corn chowder which was flavorful, and rich in taste. Crackers and delightful Italian bread came with the soup. Dinner sides choices were plentiful. We had coleslaw ( crisp, creamy & full of flavor), pickled beets( excellent- just like from grandma's house), mashed potatoes with a choice of gravy ( brown was seasoned well, and added to the flavor of the potato. The haddock dinner presented with a huge fillet, which was thick, with delightful breading, fried crispy. The crab cake was lightly seasoned, which allowed for the flavor of the white meat to stand out. They also have a wonderful bakery section with delicious desserts!

We got takeout it was OK. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. We will try it again and go in and sit down and try it. The salad was OK. The bread was good. The pasta was OK. It's very differently, sweet. It was very busy . We'll try again.

Food was good, but nothing out of this world. We are spoiled at eat at restaurants all over the country though and have some high standards. I felt like the pancake fell short flavor wise and the French toast was good but nothing made either stand out. If we hadn't had some of the things we've eaten lately we might have rated the food higher, but based on these two items we'd rate their food about a 3 star. Service was great though so that's 5 star, the place was clean, standard "restaurant" look, and we were able to park our truck and trailer Nextdoor at the hotel. There used to be a bakery area where we grabbed some pizza rolls for the road and a tiramisu which looks beautiful. Will update after we've tried those!

We stopped here on the way through from visiting family. The parking lot was busy and we didn't have to wait for seating. They have upstairs/downstairs I had a difficult time deciding. Got the BLT and it was great! Homemade bread! Next time I'm going to get the steak sub it looked amazing! Friendly staff and grab/go baked goods looked really good (we were too full to try).

We ordered takeout-very easy to call and place an order or do so online, whatever your preference. We ordered cheesesteaks, I will say I am a picky cheesesteak eater, it was pretty good. My son got spaghetti and a side of bread, the bread is fresh Italian from a local bakery and their sauce was very nice. We also ordered a side house salad which was fresh and delicious.

Back in town after a number of years and wanted an old fave, the D'atri's Steak and Cheese sub. Many locals said that they had gotten smaller, cost too much, weren't the same! I say they are crazy!!! Best steak sub in the world at a great price!!!

I got a cheesesteak and cream of crab soup. As much as people talk about how good the cheesecake is I wasn't very impressed. They didn't even melt my cheese. The soup was just OK. But I'm willing to give them a second chance they were very nice.

Lovely staff, buzzing ambiance, delicious subs and hoagies...D'Atri's has it all. But wait, do not even think about leaving without trying their mouthwatering desserts. The sandwich cookies looked enticing, but their sweet-glaze covered cinnamon buns looked like it had my name written all over it. Be sure to utilize your Free Drink offer with Yelp check-in. When I had approached them about the Yelp check-in Free drink offer, they seemed very confused. But they ended up honoring the Free-drink offer which made my day. I do wish that business would be more aware of their presence on Yelp. Can't wait to visit this place again soon.

Long wait. Was overlooked on wait list by about a dozen tables. No apology from the hostess or offer of any compensation from the manager. Just excuses. If another patron hadn't spoken up, would still be sitting there.

Crab soup was okay. Meatball hoagie and chicken parmesan were greattttt!!!!!!!!!!'!!!!!!!

Very disappointing. It's the first time I have had lunch at D'Atri's in LaVale and I expected it to be as good as their breakfasts and dinners. I ordered the tuna melt and asked that it be put on an a English muffin instead of bread. The large muffin wasn't toasted, the tuna had so much miracle whip in it that it was more like a thick Miracle Whip sauce, and very difficult to even cut. I did have a very good corn and crab chowder and the service, Garrick, was wonderful! It would be nice if they serviced breakfast all day.

Had the baked ziti and it was delicious and enough for two meals. I will definitely eat here whenever I am nearby. Also came with a side of your choice and two slices of bread.

We came here on a Thursday around 12:40. You could tell that it was going be a good place because all the old locals were there eating. We had no wait to get seated. The restaurant had a nice a comfortable atmosphere. Our server was nice and helpful. She answered our questions about the items on the menu. The service was prompt. The food didn't take long to come out. Our waitress kept our drinks filled full. The food we got was really great. We got a meatball sub, grilled ham and cheese sandwich, fries, and home fries.

The food here is always good, I come here a lot with my family. Their service is always quick no matter how busy they are and it's a pretty large building so there's a good amount of seating. I always get a cheesesteak salad. Their ranch is also top tier.

Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly a lot of cooked meals in a very large menu in which I usually don't like because I'd like everything too much juice run button. It's still really good.

Wow! We were driving in the interstate and needed to stop for lunch. I love trying local places and my son saw this one had good reviews. I knew it was a good sign that there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. It definitely was filled with locals--great sign of a great place. The waitress was prompt and friendly. We had sandwiches and they worth stopping here and not fast food. The Grilled ham and cheese sandwich was the best sandwich I have had in a long time! I will definitely stop here again when traveling through!

Seasoned lettuce!!! I wanted that to be it... "seasoned lettuce"... but Yelp is making me write more. Obviously the seasoned lettuce is so unique and delicious the people love it. You order a cheesesteak... it comes with fluffy white bread, mayo, provolone, steak, tomatoes and seasoned lettuce. It isn't a Philly cheesesteak so don't expect that, instead it isn't greasy, very fresh and delicious. A large was enough for my husband and I to split. Also grab a pepperoni roll! So good for on the go snacking.

A great stop for lunch. Tons of options and big portions. I got the club sandwich and it was delicious. They also have a ton of great dessert options.

The food was delicious. The salad was amazing. The white chicken lasagna was very tasty. We came in just before four other tables. We were seated first, but got our food last. I'm not sure why this happened but we sat for a long time. The server was very nice and friendly. We were not upset. it wasn't her fault I am just sharing so you know not to come in a hurry.

Beautiful place great feel. The new location on Baltimore st. Service was quick and kind. Super fresh greens and the chilli was fire for me, loved it. I'm from texas, having this we got some competition. I ordered wings after and the homemade blue cheese was some of the best I've had, wings with a great crisp and flavor highly recommend. I'll be enjoying this food till I head on back to where I'm from.

From three hours away ~ traveling for work a lock co worker suggested this place. OMG amazing! I usually get something off the small plates but last night hubby was with me and we went for the lasagna. It was delicious. Service is amazing~ we have had a few servers and all are on it. Amazing and we will be back soon

Growing in Cumberland this was always the place to have a cheesesteak sub. Used to live near the location on Columbia St and this is where I'd go for a weekend afternoon snack to watch a game. The cheesesteak with seasoned lettuce it the best I e ever had and I've had Philly cheesesteak. I've since moved away but when we come to town I have to stop for lunch and I never need the menu. A large cheesesteak for me or to split with my wife melee me happy for the day. The seasoned lettuce makes this a unique sandwich with a recipe that know one knows and canny be recreated. All tithe ingredients together make this experience worth the drive. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. They are working hard to turnover tables to seat the waiting crowd. If you're expecting a cheesesteak lie all the others this isn't for you

If you stop at D'Atri's, I highly recommend the Cheese Steak with sweet peppers. This is an amazing cheese steak along with the marinaded lettuce and Miracle Whip. Delicious!

Traveling and stopped for lunch,great food we got chicken n dumpling soup,shared a grilled haddock sandwich n fries. Looked like the steak sub was the most popular item it was huge lots of people sharing it. Fries were perfect wait staff fast n friendly but they got us while checking out with the muffins and pepperoni rolls...yummy I would highly recommend this place...enjoy from WV

If you're a local, this is where you're going. Seasoned lettuce, what's so special? You may ask. Just try it. Each time I go, I get the Steak sub salad. The bottom has Philly cheesesteak and it's topped with the seasoned lettuce and tomatoes. Its not your normal salad cause believe me I'm not one to normally order salads for dinner or even lunch.

Traveling through Cumberland MD we thought we would give this family owned restaurant a try. Best steak sub ever!!! The staff was very pleasant. This will be our new stop.

There is plenty to recommend this place, but ultimately I found every part of the experience underwhelming. The steak sub they are famous for was ok, but in the bottom 1/3 of my all time list. The seasoned lettuce gimmick added nothing. Definitely ask for peppers though. The sweets were pickled and delicious. My wife got lasagna and I want to believe it was homemade but the flavor and texture were on par with a frozen family dinner. The dough on my daughters personal pizza was tough. Service was friendly but very slow and the restaurant was very cold. We got two deserts but neither left enough of an impression to mention. The place was packed with locals when we were there. The other Yelp reviews are good. I feel like we didn't find the right experience but I'm not really inclined to go back.

Lot's of raving reviews... people around here must have different opinions on what qualifies as good food, or I hit an off day. Ordered online and walked over from the hotel. Parking lot was packed. Inside was packed (lunch on a Tuesday). I ordered the large cheese steak with fries. I have tasted better road kill. The steak was under cooked, had ZERO flavor. The very wet lettuce was all I could taste which is not what I paid almost $15 for. I paid for a cheese steak sub. The entire thing was a soggy mess. Threw half away. Everything was cold as well and I picked it up when they said to pick it up. Had it back in my room inside of 5 minutes. Cheese was flavorless and all layered on the bottom, not throughout. Sad to say, the napkins would have more flavor. At least they were generous with those so I could clean up all the mess from the thing falling apart from being so soggy. Waste of a lot of money. I could have spent half that at Subway and had a more appealing sub. Never again...

This is the BEST Stake sandwich every! I would put this up against any other from any place. The bread is homemade, the lettuce is diced thin but not to thin and the dressing & herbs combine for an unbelievable topping. The tomato's are sliced just right. The Parmesan cheese slices are on the bottom covered in miracle whip dressing. The stake is chopped thin, mixed with the onions and papers. If it sound good, it tastes 100% better. If you are a soda drinker the Vanilla Coke is a do not miss. The service is good and the food come out in a very timely manner. All the desserts are homemade. This place is worth the trip no matter how far the drive.

Very good service, good Reuben, the Turkey Hoagie was " below average". dry, too much lettuce next to no turkey. As we talk with a few other former customers this a pattern at this particular restaurant. Complete experience B-.

Great friendly service. Nice little spot in an unexpected place (next to a gas station and near the freeway). Homemade chili was delicious and the homemade crab cakes and salmon cales as well!

Great food at good prices!! The steak sub is very good! They season the meat and it is a huge portion! The hot ham and cheese is very good! I definitely recommend the beef barley soup. The subs come with their seasoned lettuce which is so good I could eat that alone. I recommend coming here if you are in the area. You won't leave hungry!

If you're not a local, you better ask a local. I'm great friends with the owners grandson. Recommend this to anyone. You definitely need stop by.

Excellent lunch and service. Our waiter was the grandson of the original owner and had so much pride of the family and restaurant. All homemade food. A gem in La Vale Would definitely recommend this for breakfast lunch and dinner!

Stopped here on our way cross country. Nice staff and of course I had to try the cheesesteak. I am from NJ and it is just like what I used to get back home, absolutely delicious! Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

Delicious homemade food. The steak and cheese subs are delicious. All the food we've had is very good. This place is highly recommended. We travel about an hour just to come to this restaurant. That should speak for itself.

Seriously, if you're an Italian restaurant and all you're known for are Cheesesteak subs (not even resembling classic Philly) that should be your advisory. Overrated by a mile to pass off as authentic Italian.
