Daubner is a letdown despite the hype. The waiting line is incredibly long and chaotic, with no clear system, and the staff isn’t particularly friendly. You even have to pay extra just to sit and eat your cake there, which feels unwelcoming. Also disappointing that they don’t offer milk-free options. Expected much more from such a famous place.

We ordered birds milk cake, chocolate and coconut cake and both were amazing. With high reviews and ratings here, they sure do live up to their excellent reputation. Their cakes taste delicious, and you can tell that they used fresh ingredients. It was an overall pleasant experience trying their cakes as it’s our first time in Budapest!

We recently visited Daubner Cukrászda, and I have to say, the cakes were the best I have ever tried. We sampled a variety of cakes, biscuits, and even some ice cream, and every single item was absolutely delicious. The quality and flavor were exceptional, making it well worth the trip. We will definitely come back if we visit Budapest again. Highly recommended!

Excellent cakes, baked goods, but the service is polling 😵‍💫 Impossible to get anyone on the phone to order ahead, via email order is just not working! Mixed information given, so if I have to get a cake for an occasion, there is no other way to buy it from the already-made selection. It is fine for some celebrations, but not for over 15 people 😣Very disappointing, as once this shop was working with high standards, and it was open every day of the week! Clearly something is not going well.

Daubner Confectionery offers an incredible variety of cakes and savory snacks—truly a paradise for dessert lovers! I had the almond mokka cake, and it was absolutely delicious. The place was very busy, but the wait time was reasonable. The only downside is the lack of seating—there weren’t many places to sit, and the terrace, though available, had no tables or chairs. Still, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Highly recommend for takeaway treats!

The pogácsa is great, different types of cheesy ones and I tried the potato pogácsa as well, there is also a variety of sweets and other salty pastries, we usually prefer to take away what we select as the place gets crowded on weekends, service is good and prices are average, parking lot is available
