Davar Guest House

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous BnB. It is a small business with 3 guest rooms which added to the charm. Our room (room 1) was very comfortable and immaculately clean, with an en suite bathroom and a brilliant view over Lochinver harbour. Breakfast was fab with a range of choices selected from a menu the night before. The hosts Caran & Dave were really helpful and gave us lots of local advice. Couldn’t fault a thing! Highly recommend.

Davar is a beautifully decorated family home in a quiet location and our twin room provided equally well finished and adequately spacious en suite guest accomodation with stunning views across the bay. Caran and Dave are excellent hosts and the breakfasts (continental or cooked) are very good quality. Highly recommended.

My wife and I spent one night in Davar’s B&B. The room is very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated, with a high end bed. The breakfast was delicious, with the opportunity to choose from a large range of Scottish typical dishes. We were even recommended a hike in the area that was really fantastic, many thanks for the tip ! For the kindness of the hosts, the quality of the room and the beauty of lochinver’s surroundings, we would recommend Davar with no hesitation!

Stayed at Davar from Sunday to Friday with work while in the area. Rooms we're beautiful, beautiful views of the Lochinver harbour and out to sea. Set up just a beautiful location. Breakfast every morning was always great, the welcome was like you was part of the family. A very warm welcoming B&B. Always a friendly chat which is a massive part of your day when youre working Solo mostly up north when youre driving hours a day by yourself. Loads of information given upon booking. Honestly if you're going to be up Lochinver this would be the B&B I'd always recommend. I spent three days in Davar while I was on a walking holiday in Assynt. |The en suite room was spacious and clean with a lovely view over the harbour.|Caren and Dave were excellent hosts, full of useful information about local walks and the breakfast was excellent.|I'm only sorry that the weather meant I didn't get to spend enough time sitting in the beautiful garden with their friendly dog!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Davar in Lochinver. From first booking to check-out, communication with our hosts was smooth and swift with lots of helpful information given in advance.|We received a warm welcome and our room was very comfortable with all you could possibly need provided, as well as some extra thoughtful touches. |Breakfast (ordered the evening before) featured lots of home-made or locally-produced items with a good choice, catering for all tastes, and delicious into the bargain! Dave was on hand at breakfast to advise on places to visit, impart local information and share his wealth of knowledge of the history of this part of Scotland and beyond. |Davar is only about a 15 minute walk into Lochinver so conveniently located to reach cafes and restaurants for lunches or evening meals. |Thank you, Dave and Caren for welcoming us and making our stay with you such a pleasure.
