Google
I had got the General Tao Chicken, and omg let me tell you it was amazing! The flavor was absolutely delicious. I do recommend sharing it with another person cause the portion you get is quite large including the rice bowl you get on the side. It's perfect if you're craving a meal that is a little spicy, yet still a little tangy. I would definitely go back to get the General Tao again.

Google
Friendly staff and really good food. We started with egg rolls and some very hot (temperature not spice) wonton soup, then shared the Mango Tango chicken, which was pretty sweet, the people I went with can't have much spice, so it was mild. I think the full spice would have drawn away from the sweetness some. The Chow Mein was excellent, as was the beef fried rice. The beef broccoli stir fry was very rich and flavourful. All in all a great experience.

Google
Ol, get ready for excellent food. Order and be patient as they actually take the time to prepare food here .. amazing taste.

Google
the soups were good. the three main dishes were not worth eating. They were served luke warm which accentuated the pastiness of the pad Thai. the green curry literally had zero curry in it. the Gen. Tao chicken was covered in a glue sauce . We don't drink alcohol so the dinner is really important. This place wasn't worth the expense.

Google
Best hot and sour soup around. All their dishes I have tried have been amazing. Large spring rolls. Amazing pad tai. Korean beef. Great service. Highly recommended. More pricy but 100% worth it.

I had mixed feelings about this place before I ordered but yet again I was fooled by the google reviews. Take this review as an honest one because it’s going to be my first bad review about a restaurant.

Google
Dave's Green in North Bay is one of the best thai food place I've been to in a long time. The classic Pad thai, which included chicken and shrimp was spot on. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items. The multiple awards hung on the wall are no surprise after you taste the food. I will return and suggest you do the same.

Nice little find in North Bay. If you're travelling through or working in the area check this place out. I'm sure the locals already know it very well.

Yelp
The best Thai food in town. Thanks for the special dishes and great food. It is a special treat when I order from your restaurant. Thanks for the memorable dinners!

Yelp
I've had lunch here recently, papaya bento box is a great meal! The veggie pad Thai is delicious. The salad, fresh, and tasty. Chicken balls and spring rolls also very good. I've also been here for dinner on special occasions. The atmosphere changes to more relaxing environment. I've enjoyed many items from the menu. The food is alway very good, the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience. Always!

Yelp
They have great food, excellent service, professional staff and an elegant and intimate indoor dining area. Everything I have had on their menu is delicious. There is free parking available in a convenient downtown location.

Yelp
As a Toronto foodie, I was initially quite skeptical of trying Asian cuisine in North Bay. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food at this venue. I've had a lot of Thai food from many different countries (including Thailand itself) and I've got to say that the dishes are comparable! We ordered a chicken and shrimp Pad Thai as well as the red curry and both were quite savoury. The only reason I decided to not give a 5 star is because the wait time for the food is longer than average (~25mins).

Yelp
A must eat place in Downtown North Bay. Don't let the outside fool you, you can't judge this book by it's cover. The decor was simple yet elegant. The staff was most accommodating. BUT the food? The very best. Fresh taste. The right amount of flavor blend. Korean never tasted better. Even better than some places in TO. Highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Great foodMade fresh. Worth the wait. We have ordered takeout half a dozen times and excellent each time. Fined in the restaurant once, the food was so fresh, hot and flavoured perfectly and there was so much we could hardly finish. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Fantastic. I've had bad experiences with Thai food, if you know what I mean, but this felt fresh and healthy, not to mention the overflowing flavour. A real surprise, even after receiving a raving recommendation for this place. After a long day at work, just entering the place, I felt like everything calmed down, the general feeling of the place allowed me to let go and enjoy. The service was graceful, respectful, and professional yet friendly, the place was clean and tidy, and the food came without any hassle, no long waits. Even the white rice was cooked, steamed perfectly, and I'm picky with that. They know what they're doing here and deserve several good reviews. Only down side was the bathroom smelled kind of weird, from some kind of chemical freshener, but I think I'm overly sensitive to that stuff, anyways. Try it out for yourself!

Yelp
Menu looked great but they only take CASH on deliveries! What business does this in 2018.

Yelp
Nice, unpretentious little restaurant. The shrimp curry and tempura vegetables I had were delicious; my husband liked his meal but was not enthusiastic. Service was slow and not very good, although the wait person was very nice.

Yelp
Have you ever had a craving for a particular food and been terribly disappointed when it didn't meet your expectations? I felt particularly lazy today with the cold rainy weather and decided to treat my family to some Chinese take out. I ordered from Dave's Green Papya here in North Bay. OMG, I should've eaten dog crap instead. Dog crap would've been better than this shit that I just paid $100 for. I ordered the typical fare, sweet and sour chicken balls that contain little to no chicken and was all batter and dryer than the Sahara desert, ewwww; Cantonese chow main that was the most disgusting thing I've ever put in my mouth. It came with red peppers and broccoli and other unidentifiable items and was just pure puke. I ordered hot and sour soup that again came with red peppers and friggin shrimp and other unidentifiable stuff, pure grossness....I don't care for shrimp and it wasn't listed as an ingredient ergo couldn't eat it. I ordered chicken chop suey that looked and tasted like a gelatinous pile of crap. The other stuff I ordered were just as bad. What a fucking turn off! Needless to say I'm soooo pissed off to spend that kind of money and not be able to enjoy it. Almost all of it that went into the garbage . I'm eating a peanut butter sandwich, hard to fuck that up. Caveat Emptor!

Yelp
This was the first time we ate at Dave's new location. It had great atmosphere, service was very good and the food was excellent. Appetizers came quickly and the food didn't take long either. Korean BBQ was very good as was the Mee Goreng. The owner came over for a brief check in which we appreciated. We'll definitely be heading back.

This place is such a nice little restaurant, friendly service, amazing food.. I'm giving 4 stars because the service can be slow other than that awesome place!! I will definitely be going back!

Yelp
omg i am so happy to have discovered this place. recently tired a horrid disaster called KOI on main street and was severely disappointed in the lack of quality asian restaurants in north bay. Dave's green papaya is definitely a gem in a city that lacks a huge variety of food choices. i've eaten here a few times when visiting and enjoyed: a mango salad, spring-rolls, chicken pad Thai, red curry with chicken, chicken coconut soup and coconut shrimp. my favorite combo is the mango salad and chicken pad thai. both are extremely filling and fresh. i loved the mango salad for they used ripe, fresh mango unlike some Thai places that combine hard, unripened mango with old, squishy ones. their spring-rolls are a MUST try appetizer. i will be eating here again and again. PS- dining in is PERFECT for date night, girls night out or a business meeting. don't let the exterior fool you, it truly is fabulous inside.

Yelp
It looks dumpy from the outside, but the inside is nice, a little cramped though. Don't be in a great hurry because they seem to like for you to stay and for you to take your time to eat. It might be an idea to make a reservation or go early. The food was very good, it's better to eat in the restaurant than the takeout I find. Friendly staff, good quality, tasty, price is within the norm, perhaps just a little higher but I think it is worth it.

Yelp
Best thai fried rice I've ever tasted in my life. Hands down. It was the only food joint in north bay that had flavour besides big franchises like boston pizza etc.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Be sure to have the bento box... There is more than enough food. The appetizers are great as well

Yelp
Slow service, ridiculous delivery fee but decent food. This place survives because there is virtually no competition to be had. That is not to say that the food or the service is unfriendly - its not. Its just that overall, this place could certainly be better and Dave's Green Papaya might be forced to improve a mediocre resto by being by having some decent competition.

Yelp
The interior of the restaurant was lovely. We ordered the "popular" Chicken Pad Thai and the Chow Mein. The portion of the Pad Thai was generous, but not the Chow Mein. As I live downtown Toronto (and have travelled through Thailand), I cannot say the Pad Thai was among the best I've had. It was not the worst, but simply okay. The price of the dinner Pad Thai ($15.95 plus tax) is also high from what we usually pay in Toronto for better Pad Thai.

Terry R.

Yelp
Great take-out. Tried a large variety of items and no complaints. Order was ready when we were told it would be and staff was friendly and welcoming.

Gill C.

Yelp
You know when ordering take out from this place, that there is going to be a considerable wait. That being said, the food used to be worth it to some degree. But our last experience was just a big "no", and never again. The chicken balls were so over cooked, they were inedible. Almost like they were cooked and then cooked again. All the deep fried dishes were over cooked. Maybe they need extra help in the kitchen. It was our vegetable chow mien that clinched it. Our container was not even half full and barely any vegetables. Customers are supposed to be everything to a business, so don't cheat them. Do not charge someone full price for something that isn't even a half and order. Some people have to save up to eat out. I really wish the meal was satisfactory, but it just wasn't.

Yelp
LOVED our meal at Dave's!! Nice atmosphere and decor, friendly service. Not to mention the food was delicious!! We enjoyed spring rolls (think they had sweet potato, so good), mango salad w Korean beef, red beef curry, mango tango chicken - awesome, and hot and sour soup - full of yumminess!! Would definitely recommend and go back again!

Yelp
I enjoy Thai food and this place has probably the best Thai food in North Bay. Just be warned the service can be terribly slow, and the how they spice a dish, such as the Pad Thai, seems to be inconsistent from one visit to the next. It has a good atmosphere overall and is a nice place to go out for dinner.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the portions are hearty. The menu offers a good variety of food and the atmosphere is nice.
