Dave's Hot Chicken

The ambiance is pretty cool in this place. Service was nice and friendly. Got the loaded fries, mild flavor. They were pretty good, just had a bit much of pickly flavor, which is not my favorite. The sandwich was medium flavor and was surprisingly spicy already, but still good flavor.

First time here so wasn't sure what to expect. Atmosphere was neat, cashier overall was nice. Not impressed that the meals don't come with a drink and was not told that, spent over $25 after taxes for 2 meal that didn't come with drinks for that price you would assume a drink is included. Also not impressed that I ordered the number 4 that says 1 slider with fries served with kale slaw and pickles, I asked if I could substitute the kale slaw with Mac n cheese which she said was no problem. Got the order and I didn't get fries because she said I subbed the fries for mac n cheese, that's not I took the number 4 to be. Overall food wasn't too bad but be forewarned that the meals don't come with drinks and watch what you order or verify before completing your order. Not totally impressed though.

Super cool that athey are open until 11pm. The seasoning on their chicken hits different. Crunchy breaded, hot, and juicy chicken. Both times we have been here, the young men that attend the customers are fast and friendly. Cool decor. Lit up and fun. Only thing I would say is that someone could be cleaning off the tables when customers leave. We will be back.

Servers were very kind and helpful. The place looked good but I wasn’t very impressed by the food. I tried the spicy chicken burgers with fries and I didn’t like it.

Nate provided amazing service; he was very welcoming and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for our order. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Overall, it was great!

Meh... first and last time here. It looks good in pictures but it was not that good. Is was more like a pickle sandwiches with a side of over fried chicken. The hype for this place is ridiculous. Even Raising Canes has a way better, tasteful chicken. It's too overpriced and doesn't even include a drink. A huge disappointment... The shake machine was not working, the dining room was dirty and the service was incompetent with the exception of the cashier (Zane) who was very polite, greeted me and took the time to walk me through the menu.

Was delicious and made very fast. I had the medium spice level and I could have definitely handled more. My friend got the reaper and said it was definitely one of the spiciest things he has ever eaten and it was delicious. In the picture is one of their "sliders" which was a regular size bun. I had ordered the two slider meal and ended up bringing the second one home to my teenager(he really enjoyed it as well). The fries were tasty and the extra pickles made my heart jump for joy. A little pricey but the portions make up for it!

Took my daughter to go try Dave’s Hot Chicken as she’d never been. I had tried it once before and wasn’t impressed for what you pay. Thought I’d give it another try as she wanted to go. Unfortunately, it was more of the same. The chicken sandwich was fine, but not super flavorful, again. I’m just not sure what the allure is for people. It looks good, but fails in flavor. They put their seasoning on everything; the fries, mac ‘n cheese, etc. The fries were good overall, but the mac ‘n cheese was horrible! It was runny, like the cafeteria food that you’d get in elementary school, with little flavor. Their pickles were the best part of the meal! Very tasty and crisp!

Love coming here as it's always good and always filling. Price is very good and you get a lot for what you're spending. The chicken is always cooked to perfection. Nice and moist while also being very crispy. We went with the Hot level of spice today and it's was pretty good, will try the next level next time we're in. Service was great, the guy at the counter was friendly and the other staff were helpful with getting extra items. It's always loud when I've been and the seating is a little odd. It's either completely full or there's a weird number of people where you're not sure if you'll be able to fit.

Overall, good quality fast food. I got the chicken slider with fries, which were both seasoned very well. The Dave's sauce on the side was also flavorful. They have a lot of different spice levels. I chose hot, but it was a bit much for me even though I regularly eat spicy food. Lines can get long to order at counter, but they seem to move fast. The mac and cheese was pretty plain so I would not get again.

This is a very nice clean place. They will make chicken tenders for you in any degree of heat and it is fantastic.

This is a great place for a great chicken sandwich! A casual eatery, but pretty busy most of the times I've gone. Expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes on a weekend day, especially a Sunday. The staff are friendly and quick to take your order and get it out as soon as they're able to. The heat is actually spicy, too! I usually get mild but yesterday got hot and it was indeed hot. The sliders are much more like a full sandwich and the tenders are more like 2 than 1, which is a great thing. My husband and I split a #3 which is a slider, tender, and fries, and both of us were full after the meal. The pricing is pretty average to other casual eateries. I don't love eating in, there's usually minimal tables available and it's so cold inside.

Second time I've been here second time I've had terrible service. Missing items and the chicken was raw in the middle. Contacted customer service and Jorge from management said "Sorry give us another try some time". $30 of food right in the trash. Not eating a salmonella bomb. Never again.

Tried Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time! We don't have this in Tulsa, OK so I was so excited to try it since moving to Omaha. I was underwhelmed. I think I'm just not a Nashville spice type of gal. I can see why it is so popular though. I got the Dave's #1 mild which came with two tenders and fries. I loved how huge the tenders were. I also loved the batter and how crispy it was. I would've liked the fries to have some other type of seasoning on them instead of the Nashville spice it came with. Wasn't a huge fan of the dipping sauce. The pickles were a great addition. It was quite expensive for fast food. Our total was $30 for the #1 and #4.

I ordered via their website and was able to pick it up quickly. I was a little nervous about the heat so I ordered mild and it was fine I would probably try hotter next time. They were great and gave me extra napkins which was very appreciated. The "slider" is a full sandwich. Which makes the price more reasonable. Fries were crispy and hot. Yum.

I finally made it to Dave's Hot Chicken for lunch today and now I see what the hype has been about. Huge chicken portions, delicious seasoning, customizable spice levels and sides too! I did a to go order online so it was ready when I arrived. By the time I got back to work, everything was still hot and fresh! I went with the #3 to try one of each: A tender and a slider with fries and bread. As others have said, the slider is more like a whole piece of chicken! The kale slaw is a great concept and unique flavor compared to traditional coleslaw. Not as runny as other slaws I've had which I preferred. Pro tip, add the side of honey to boost the flavor of this sandwich! The strip is just that, a plain chicken strip. Utilize their homemade dipping sauce with this one. Think chipotle mayo with a sweeter aftertaste. It was really good! I will definitely be back to try more of Dave's Chicken as soon as I can!

Great flavorful sandwiches, where you can customize the heat level. If you're not a heat lover don't worry, you can get chicken without any hot spice. Also, don't be fooled by the word "slider" on their menu, they are a generous size! I usually opt for the one slider combo, but tried their two finger meal recently and again has plentiful amounts. I really like their kale slaw as a side! Overall, a great addition to the Saddle Creek corridor.

I unfortunately forgot to take pics of my actual food. I ordered the 2 slider combo. Now just fyi, they use the term slider very loosely. This "slider" was a whole regular sized chicken sandwich. Wasn't nothing slider about it. And I had two of them I'm not sure who was supposed to eat all of that. Lol Service was decent. Everyone was friendly. Sandwiches were really good. I'd definitely try them again

Good was very yummy. A bit overpriced, but very yummy. I do not like their signature sauce as much as Chick Fil A or Cane's. I got the medium, but I found that to be pretty mild. I don't have incredible tolerance for spice nor am I a wuss, so I would err on the side of "get spicier." The freshness of the food is comparable to the aforementioned chicken spots though. And it's a dry rub so it is a bit different! Also, for veg-heads, the cauliflower is really good! I swear at first I thought I accidentally was served chicken. The space is a little small for how popular it is. Also, the combo has no drink so watch out.

I ended up getting the Daves #2 and didnt have a moment were I wasnt enjoying my meal! This is one of the best spots in town, if you're going for a safe meal that will enjoyed by a crowd, pro tip: make sure not to set the bar low for their spice levels, I love some heat but hot is the maximum for me! Service also never fails they're extremely fast and efficient and respectful!

Best darn hot chicken in all the land. I was happy with every bite. The drive thru was busy at it was 3pm if that says how sought after this chicken is! Get it!

If you're expecting a flavor like Hattie B's in Nashville, Dave's hot chicken is not for you. They don't have callard greens, baked beans, or mac n cheese... they pretty much only have fries. It's not bad and you might like it but if you are looking for a Hattie B's substitute, this is not it.

Made fresh to order- chicken was fantastic! Great spice, not too much breading. First time here, will definitely be back!

Dave's Hot Chicken ( Omaha, NE ) I got the medium spice, and I thought it was pretty good, but the spice is more of a rub than a sauce which, in my opinion, would be better as a sauce. I didn't think mine was too spicy, but my boyfriend got hot, and his meal was very spicy. A little pricy, but overall probably a 7.5 for me! The signature sauce reminds me of in-n-out a little and was so good. The space is also painted super cool which I loved! Would recommend trying! I just didn't think it was anything over the top, good if you like chicken with a dry rub but not my favorite. The workers were super nice and we had good service!

Finally got a chance to try Dave's hot chicken late one weeknight and I was thoroughly impressed! I was afraid it was going to be insanely hot to I downgraded and only got my chicken medium and in the future I will be getting the hot. Their seasoning almost has a little sweetness to it. It's very good! The chicken was very juicy and tender! Next time I will be getting the sandwich though. I was aware the bread that came with the tenders was just plain white bread. Not toasted or anything. Very good pickles and solid fries. Their dipping sauce is alright. I already want to give it a second try!

My mom recommended this place so I doordashed it tonight. Can't speak to the atmosphere or restaurant itself but I can speak to the food. I'm pretty nearby so the fries arrived crispy and hot. I ordered the single slider (it's a full sandwich so don't let the name worry you) with cheese fries (cheese extra). I got the Mac and cheese too and an Oreo topped shake. Wow. Every bite was delicious. The shake had Oreo pieces all the way down, the Mac and cheese was just right and the sandwich was crispy and fresh and I especially liked the light toppings of the kale slaw on the sandwich. Really gave it that something extra. The cheese fries were awesome. It's that nasty movie theater cheese that we all love, and I don't know if they went light on the cheese because it was delivery, but I'd just recommend ordering an extra cheese. It's that good. I will definitely order again and will stop in physically soon. So tasty. Forgot to take a pic of the shake before I had half of it but it looked just like the picture on the menu.

Daves hot chicken was decent! I got the second or third hottest one and it was the right amount of heat for me. Really liked the sauce. My dad got the normal chicken slider with cheese. It's a good amount of food but still expensive for the price. Have heard some bad things about ownership/management so I won't be back personally unless someone I'm with wants to go like my father did this time.

Great Nashville hot chicken. I would recommend the #2 hot will definitely come to this location again.

Chicken used to be very good when it first opened. Now, I can't go there anymore. I'm wondering if they changed chicken suppliers or something. The last three times, the chicken was just full of cartilage and just not good. I couldn't even finish it.

I have no complaints with this restaurant I originally tried this place for the first time in California and it was amazing so I knew I had to try the Nebraska location. The restaurant was pretty busy but the workers were moving fast after placing my order I sat in the lobby and waited. The lobby was clean and there were plenty of sitting. I also ordered a fountain drink but the fountain drinks I realized after trying 3 different flavors were all flat sodas so I end up just getting some ice water. The food 10/10 amazing tasted just how I remembered I ordered the chicken sliders mild spice and it was so fresh and good.

I enjoyed the loaded fries medium. They were delicious. My kids like hot stuff but felt the seasoning was too hot and my son went and asked for a different seasoning and they let him switch to medium . Thank you for your excellent service.

#3 with an extra tender. They let you get different heat varieties for their combo which I appreciated - I tried medium, hot and extra hot. I thought hot was noticeabley spicier than medium but extra hot and hot were similiar. Everything had a good flavor and I really liked the dipping sauce. Well, I finally did it. I ordered Dave's hot chicken. First things first I ordered it through DoorDash. Didn't get my coleslaw. Didn't get my strawberry shake. They're already losing. I enjoy spicy food so I ordered hot. This was not hot. This was fit for heart patients, small children maybe, but not for someone like me who enjoys spicy food. I also got some macaroni and cheese, Kraft does it better. all in all this was a complete and utter disappointment. I don't see what the hype is.

Delicious food again! I got the slider and tender combo and it was way more than enough food as the tender also comes with a piece of plain white bread. Food came out fast. The cashier seemed a little new, making ordering take long but it wasn't too bad

This was a to go order so I had some fries on the drive home, which were really good and crispy. The medium slider had a nice amount of heat and wasn't too overwhelming. The tenders we ordered it in hot & extra hot. The hot had a nice kick and will probably be my go to next time. The extra hot is just exactly that.... Extra hot!! Now I like spicy, but that one was a creeper after the first bite but the taste was still very good. It's the Dave's sauce that was a winner in my book, it kind of reminds me of Raising Cane's sauce but Better! The inside was very modern and clean. Parking area is VERY small and is connected to another food chain but the service was still very quick.

My husband and I went this afternoon and I thoroughly impressed. It was really busy when we got there (around 2/2:30pm), but we were still able to get our food within 15 minutes of ordering. Customer service was on point, everyone was as friendly. It's a small joint, so we decided to just take our food to go, it felt crowded in there with all the bodies. I got the hot tenders, my husband got the medium slider and tender meal. Both were hot (temperature wise) and the flavors really shined through on my hot (think the spicy level of CFA spicy sandwiches) tenders. I tried my husbands and couldn't distinguish a flavor. I tried the fries he got, nothing special - but they were crisp, not soggy and fresh. The slider had more flavor and tasted better than I expected. It is now the number 1 spicy chicken sandwich for me. Overall, it was a great experience. Somethings to keep in mind if you go check it out: -- Parking is limited. We ended up parking in the lot of the nearby Walgreens. -- Be prepared to wait outside if the line inside is too long. -- The space inside the restaurant is fairly small, so if you're wanting to eat in...it might be better to wait until the excitement of a new spot dies down a little bit. We went during an off meal time and I was surprised by how busy it still was.

Dave's Hot Chicken is worth the wait! The menu is simple but the combination of things you can get is awesome! I ordered the two chicken sliders with fries. The chicken is full of flavor and the fries are amazing! The only thing I wasn't a big fun of was the sauce but it is still good. The manager came outside while we waited to talk to us which is always make you feel like they care about their customers. I can't wait to go back!

I heard about this place and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. We waited outside in line and inside inline (only one register going) for about 15 minutes. For 13.99 you can get 2 tenders sliders and fries and pickles. I feel like that should include a drink. It also comes with a sauce similar to canes IMO. I don't feel like that goes with this meal at all. I needed a cool homemade ranch to dip my chicken in or even blue cheese. The fries were seasoned crinkle cut, very good. I got the "hot chicken". I was a little worried it would burn my mouth off but it was perfect. Not burn your mouth at all. The chicken was juicy and seasoned and the slaw on the slightly sweet bun made it a great sandwich. Just wish I had some ranch! The mac and cheese just tasted like bland Mac and cheese with some Cayenne pepper in it. I was hoping it was going to be awesome. I think this place will be popular for awhile. The chicken is good. Please think about some ranch for the Nebraska gals.

5 stars for this California chain. It's a simple menu, similar to Raising Canes, but has a southern feel and the HOT chicken. Chicken is tender, and well prepared. The coating is light, crispy, and well flavored. The spice levels are adequately rated, and delicious. I even love the sides of mac and cheese, fries and the kale slaw. It's semi fast food, and after 3 visits, each time was consistent on wait time, food quality, and hospitality. $$ more than your average fast food joint, although a meal at McDonalds these days isn't much less.

don't eat here unless you want to wait 2+ hours for your food !!! tables were dirty i felt disgusted and embarrassed

I want to say I really love the flavor and spice on the chicken and I will be back for that. Went grand opening day and stood out in the cold for an hour but the line moved quickly and the manager came out and chatted with folks which was cool. I give three stars because the fries I got and my friend had husband got tasted differently. Theirs had much more seasoning and mine just tasted like plain fries. I also did not enjoy the sauce it had an aftertaste I didn't enjoy. The staff was friendly and I liked the design of the place inside. I like that they had "Kaleslaw" on top of the sandwich and their pickles were delicious. Will be back to get more chicken and to try the milkshakes!

Good food, obnoxious wait when busy. Legit 45 mins for 2 pieces of chicken when busy. They will also process to go orders for people not in the restaurant ahead of customers dining in and actively waiting. At the end of the day, it's some greasy fried chicken that can be very good but the hype is 10,000% greater than the reality and to wait more than 15 mins for it? Ridiculous.

Food and service was good , food was out fast fresh and hot just make sure to get here early cause the parking just full fast

I wish I had read reviews before wasting $13. The chicken is average with added spice levels. I wish the spice/heat blend had a balance. It's just how much chili powder do you want piled on the thick breading. This is a chicken place and the chicken inside is just ok. The sauce is bland and heavy on the mayo. It's not worth a calorie to eat this. The bread is the saddest piece of square white sandwich bread. Just depressing when the competition has the BEST-you know who I'm talking about. The fries are pretty good and the pickles are really good, but that's not enough to save this place. Will never return and not sure how there are any locations still open?

This review is based on two separate visits on two different days. Pictures attached were taken on opening night. We went opening day, wait was about an hour but once we got inside the time for food was not bad! I got the slider and tender option no kale slaw and pickles. Food was delicious, flavorful, and hot (I could go up one). The fries were great and crispy. The Dave's sauce was not my favorite which is why I was so glad the slider wasn't drenched it it! Opening night staff was amazing! Second part of the review, I was so amazed I went the next day Saturday for lunch. The gal up front got my order right but when I got home to eat the order was not correct for a moment I thought I grabbed the incorrect one, but I checked the bag and nope. I got the same thing slider and tender no kale sale and pickles with regular fries and Mac and cheese. I got kale slaw on my slider and I got cheese fries. The slider was also drenched in Dave's sauce which like I mentioned before it's not my favorite. The mac and cheese was okay, no wow factor for me but needed more cheese. The cheese on the cheese fries was actually good, not sure if they used the same cheese for the Mac and cheese. I love the location and the decor/wall were pretty and modern.

Got the #4, 1 slider and fries. Got the mild because I wasn't sure what they considered mild. Definitely shouldn't gotten at least medium to get some sort of kick to it. Still good though! Big fan of the crinkle fries and the seasoning! Only thing I didn't really enjoy was the dipping sauce. Will definitely eat here again ! Service was quick, just be ready for a possible long line. Every time I've been here the line has been to the door. Inside has a good amount of seating. The decor was colorful and has a lot going on which was cool! There is a little drive thru window on the outside.

First time at Dave's Hot Chicken and it was pretty good. The wait took some time because of how busy the store was. The order takers/counter workers were very sweet and helpful even though it was busy. The store is very fun and bright with drawings all over the walls and a giant chicken on the far facing wall. The chicken was juicy and flavorful (I got Extra Hot and it wasn't anything crazy). Fries are crispy and dave's sauce didn't disappoint.

Love the juiciness and flacor of the tenders as well as the Hot Cauliflower bites and the Reaper will put a hurtin' on you, so beware.

I had to come back and get another sandwich, the last one was so good! Next time I'll try the extra hot! This is a top 5 chicken spot for sure. I put it up there with Canes and Popeye's

My husband brought me home a sandwich and fries and it was just as good as I had seen the reviews raving! With a good skin to chicken ration, the breast is juicy and tender, and the crispy skin adds a great flavor. I am sucker for all the toppings on the sandwich I could double that for me. I liked the seasoning on my fries, but they're crinkle, so not my favorite. All in all very good sandwich and I'm glad I didn't have to wait in line to enjoy!

I heard good things and had to try it for myself. I tried an extra hot slider and fries. I was looking for something spicy and found it. The slider was pretty tasty and the quality was great. The crinkle fries had a nice seasoning on them, enjoyed that. I'm just not a fan of that cut of fry, so they weren't my favorite. The place was clean and inviting. Quick and friendly service. I'd go back. If spicy chicken is what you're looking for, I'd give it a try !

Chicken sandwich was ok. Level of spice for "hot" was not very hot so I would move up a level. Portion for each sandwich is very good. They are a full size sandwich. The service at the drive thru was horrifyingly slow. 30 minutes in line with perhaps 4 cars in front of me. Sat at the window for 10 minutes.

I consider myself a chicken sandwich connoisseur, and let me tell you...this might be the best chicken sandwich in Omaha. I ordered the two sliders with fries from DoorDash. These were less sliders and more full sized chicken sandwiches. The fries were still perfectly crisp, even after the travel time. The side of Dave's sauce was perfect for dipping. Now onto the sandwiches. I have never had such perfectly seasoned chicken. The breading was so flavorful and crisp, and it was drizzled with a tasty sauce. They included honey packets on the side, which added an extra delicious element. However, what is the most important part of a chicken sandwich? If you didn't say the pickles, you're wrong. Dave's pickles are not only perfectly tangy and crisp, they were plentiful, too. This has been one of my favorite finds in a long time!

Moved from LA to Omaha and was excited to try out Dave's hot chicken here. Only thing I can say is the taste is exactly the same. The service was great with very friendly workers. And as far as decor and the place itself it's the same as any other Dave's hot chicken. Very excited to have them in Omaha.
