Dave's Hot Chicken

I’m a regular customer at Dave’s Hot Chicken and it’s always been one of my favorite spots. I usually visit the Ontario location since it’s closer to me, and I always go for the Extra Hot chicken. Over time though, it started to feel like the “Extra Hot” wasn’t hitting as strong as it used to. So I decided to try the Orland Park location, and wow—it was excellent! The spice level was right on point, exactly what I expect when I order Extra Hot. The flavor was bold, the heat was perfect, and overall it felt like the quality was dialed in. The customer service there was also pretty good, making the whole experience even better. It’s a bit farther for me to travel, but honestly, it was worth the drive. I’ll definitely be going back to Orland Park when I’m craving that real Dave’s Hot Chicken kick.

Top rated for a reason. The food is delicious, the service is very good, and we like the vibe. It’s got a bit of LA thing going to it which makes sense of course. You can really pick your spicy level. I tend to go to the hot side while others go a little milder. The extra hot was just right for me. Strongly recommend. That’s the cheapest place in the world for fast food but definitely excellent.

When we saw the building, we were amazed by the beautiful art and atmosphere! We went in and the art IN the building was even more beautiful. We were greeted by a man named “Timothy” he was very patient and interactive. The service was amazing, and the food was super delicious! If you’re looking for a place to get the best food, go to Dave’s hot chicken!

Wow. This place is amazing. This wasn’t the first Dave’s I’d been to, but man, it’s still a great experience. This is probably one of the most vibrant-looking restaurants I’ve ever seen. I just had to take pictures of the interior. And the food is top-tier. Their tenders are huge and so flavorful! Its a pretty heave meal. I would definitely come back here, great establishment!

Per my college kid's request, he wants to try Dave's hot chicken sandwich in a couple of flavors and it was exceptionally delicious! Our very first time and I must say this is the most delicious spicy chicken sandwich hands down! Sal was very patient and friendly since it is our first time explaining what's what and not once he rushed us. Inside was pretty cool with benches and seating. Love love love everything about it and I'm so glad we listened to our college kid for once! Haha 😆

Me and my son stopped by to pick up something why we was out christmas shopping for his mom. It was his suggestion and I said it , okay , let's check it out. He had the number 1, i got the number 4. everything was great fries with seasoned just right. They were hot chicken sandwich was delicious.

Outstanding food and service! The team here took care of my golf team. The manager, Timothy couldn’t have been any nicer! We will easily be back! 5 stars all day!

Timothy was absolutely awesome. He gave a first timer a good informational tutorial on the meals and deals. I appreciate an enthusiastic informative customer service rep. The food was very delicious. I will return another time. Thank you.

Tried Dave's chicken for the first time in the melrose location and it was TERRIBLE but the Orland Park location, was wonderful. Mario took my order and was a great worker he was very polite and helpful his service was 10/10 chicken was fresh and juicy unlike my past experience at Dave's , Mario and his team has completely changed my views on Dave's chicken and will definitely be coming back in the future !

Shouts out to Mike and Tay! Great job answering questions and good explanation of having to sign a waiver for the spiciest chicken on the menu. Sounds dangerously hot and I am not yet that brave. Beautiful space; lots of bold colors in the design. Hinting, I'm sure to the boldness of their flavors. Hubby and I shared an order and were very pleased with the taste. We agreed to return one day to go up a spice level and get slushies to mask the heat.

service is always helpful and friendly, ready to talk about the menu and make accommodations for customers. i've never had a bad experience here and the food is ALWAYS phenomenal. spice level is always great, and the prices are affordable! love the sauce, love the honey, might be my favorite fast food place! i'm so glad to have found this spot

I love Dave's usually and have been to the Schererville , Indiana location several times. However, today our food was not good at the Orland location. I ordered through the app. I ordered a 10 piece medium cauliflower tender bites and was given a few pieces of chicken instead of cauliflower. Also the 10 piece had hardly any medium flavor. I could not taste it at all. I was extremely disappointed. My fiance liked his hot cauliflower tender bites but also said they were lacking sauce on several pieces. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. I do wish our experience was better though.

Throughly disappointed with the quality of the food dye on the chicken, is not very good and rubs off on fingers. Although I enjoy the ambiance with that cool lookin chicken guy packaging is above average and quite impressive. Walls are cool

There are not many restaurants that will greet and recognize new customers the way Dave's Hot Chicken does! Our first experience here is one to remember. All thanks to their amazing front cashier! Who I did forget the name of, but she was working on June 12th at lunch time! For starters, their interior design is very pleasing to the eye, and extremely clean! The food is just outstanding. Extremely juicy, and flavorful. This will and is my new favorite go to chicken shop.

It was our first time coming into Dave's Hot Chicken, the employees were SUPER helpful, asked & answered all of our questions. They were VERY friendly & enthusiastic, gave us recommendations! The place was great, clean, the art work was cool! The food was delicious and wayyy filling, we took half of it home! Def. Recommend coming here, we were made to feel right at home Props again to the employees- they were the best!

A nice spot for chicken tenders. Chicken was juicy and you are able to pick your heat.

This is a new venue here in Orland Park. I was really excited to give it a try. And so glad I did! I am not exaggerating one bit when I tell you that this is the best chicken I have ever had in my entire life! No exceptions! My wife had the 10 piece nuggets with no sauce or heat. Boring but tasty. I had the two sliders w/fries. So amazing I still can't believe it! Choice of several levels of heat as well as sauces. Nice menu selections. This place can not be beat! I can't wait to go back!

I was just at Dave's Hot Chicken, and my experience was amazing. Our server Mario was super nice and friendly, and the food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean, and it was well decorated. I will definitely be back soon.

Not sure what the hype is about. Food here was mediocre. So much breading, chicken is not even flavorful. Ordered a "flight of sauces" paid extra and weren't given them. When asked for the sauces, they were all given incorrect by the employee. Very disappointed

The food was good. The chicken has a very good flavor, only wish it wasn't so dry. The "Dave" sauce is very tasty. The prices are pretty high for just a single chicken tender on a bun. Definitely overpriced.

Second Dave's review. Different vibe at the Orland location, but still just as good. Chicken at this location was juicy, and the staff at the front were very polite.

My students said to give this place a try. We like Cane's and this was very comparable. I felt the flavor of the chicken and sauce was fantastic. Angél thought Fry the Coop was better. Staff was well prepared for the Friday night rush - will be going back soon - Go Griffins!

Great food and great people the manger was very kind to the customers and worked at a fast pace, considering how large the crowd of customers was great tunes playing all around the Restaurant along with a ambiance of chickens. Not much else to be said then will be coming back, which gives me no other option, but to give it the Read Write Reviews five stars.

Ate here for the first time this week and the pricing was fair. I ordered the 2 tenders mild spicy with fries. The value was good and the quality of meat was good. I will say I was not crazy about the powdery topping they add onto the chicken but the taste and quality made up for it. They also allow you to pick spice level from no spice all the way up to extremely hot. I did the mild spice and it had a small kick nothing crazy at all, most definitely doable if you are sensitive to spice like I am! I had to wait seven or eight minutes for a simple carry out order and watched as six in restaurant orders were ordered and received before me but again not a big deal. The key is the food which was good, not great. Definitely better than Chic Fil A or Popeyes. I give it 4.25 stars / five if I could!

The food is good. To go service is poor. We did not receive a bottle of soda we ordered. We arrived where we were to eat the food and there's no place to get water where we were. This was an annoying omission

First time eating at A Dave's Hot Chicken. it won't be my last. The Chicken was very tasty and quality white meat chicken. Choice of spice levels was excellent. I went with 1 hot and 1 very hot. they aren't lying it's very hot. The best part of the experience was the excellent customer service. it's getting harder to find these days but the cashier was very knowledgeable and really took time to explain all the levels to us. great overall experience

The place was dirty women's bathroom out of service, employees on there phone all the time and food was horrible they put some king of powder on it made it dry no taste even with sauce will never return!

Tried Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time today and we thought it was great! The man at the counter (wish I remembered his name) was so helpful in explaining the menu. The food arrived quickly and it was hot and delicious. My husband had medium and I had hot-both were super tasty. The fries are seasoned and super crunchy and tasty. We are big fans of another hot chicken place in the area, and my husband and I agreed that this was better! We will be back!

Nasty oil heavy tasting fried chicken so gross never eating there. Please try for yourself and see what I'm talking about

The chicken was cooked to perfection, super crispy and flavorful. Food was served quickly, and the tables were clean. Great overall experience!

Good service, the employees are maybe a little too nice , food was also good. Heavily spiced chicken/fries (dry rub essentially). I could taste alot of chili powder and possibly as some Indian type masalas. It was kinda expensive but worth a try. I think canes is still my go to.

The texture of the spice was powdery and all I could taste was char or smoke. Don't care for the double fried. It's all yours young ones.

I feel terrible. I did not get the manager's name, but whoever the manager was that was working 2/18/25 at around 7:30p is just the nicest person ever. I came in with my two teenage kids my eight-year-old. I got them a meal each and I did not get anything because per usual my kids come first and I couldn't afford a meal that night. The manager came up to me and asked me where my food was. I told him I'm broke.. and it's really ok I wasnt hungry...he proceeded to ask me what I wanted. I told him no that's not necessary. He said no I'm not gonna take no for an answer. I told him to choose bc I felt bad I don't like asking for help as a single mom of 4. He brought me two sandwiches and a macaroni and cheese on the house. The young lady working was also just the sweetest ever and made sure that we felt very comfortable and she was very informative bc it was our first time there. Honestly, I'm so touched by their kindness. I hope they are both very blessed in life and I appreciate them so much.

Great food great service. I really liked the flavor of the hot chicken. I got sliders. They were great. I'm going to go up a heat level next time. I also got their Hi C Creme slush, loved it! Highly recommend .
