Daves Straw Hat Inn

One of my favourite resorts that I have visited . It's my second time staying in this resort. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customers. The huts and rooms were overall comfortable in sizes. It doesn't have the luxury of the high end hotels amenities, but definitely met the simple pleasure of our stay. The location of the resort is just a 4-5 minute walk to the beach. As soon as you come out of the resort, there is a direct path leading to the beach. The Boracay beach scenery is beautiful with it's powdery white sand and clear blue water. The location of the resort is great as it is far from crowded party places but not too far from the variety of restaurants along the way to the strip of malls. Excellent hospitality from the owner. We love the feeling of security and being comfortable this resort gave us.

Awesome place to stay very quiet area. Has a cute charm to its individual huts/private rooms with outside balcony. Ideal for individual or couples. Pancake of the town. During our stay we had the Mango Pancake and omelette in the patio.Both were good portion so come hungry. Towels smells clean and appreciated it after a day in the salty beach.

I stayed there in 2006. It was one of the most pleasant accommodations I have ever stayed in. Dave is real, friendly and hospitable. The staff were superb - it felt like we were with friends. Tucked away in a quiet little corner but just a short walk to one of the most gorgeous beaches in the world. I am saddened at what popularity has done to Boracay. I hope the clean-up goes well and that the island can become paradise again.

This little gem of a hideaway is hidden down a path but only about 100 metres from station 3 beach and all that it offers.|| The room we stayed in was very spacious with plenty of storage, safe, air-con and fan, wi-fi and was spotlessly clean. There are no complimentary toiletries or tea/coffee making facilities but this does not detract from what a great little place this is.|| We had breakfast here a couple of tines and it was nice and plentiful, but there are plenty of places to eat close at hand if you want also.|| After a day of activities or sunbathing is was nice to come back and have a drink on our terrace here and it also has a fan on the terrace to make it even more comfortable with the heat and humidity.|| The staff are very friendly and helpful and are on hand to assist with anything if they can. We would recommend staying at Daves Straw Hat .

We enjoy our stay here very much. The bed and pillows are extremely cozy and the price of the room and the laundry service are affordable. We also like its position, very quite, with local grocery stores on the side of the trail to it. There are also many tasty restaurant nearby. Although it's a small inn, the friendly staffs provide 24 hrs services and help us book a very nice massage.

We had a nice stay, although a short visit, at Dave’s Straw Hat. It’s a nice short walk to the beach with many good restaurants close by!!! The room was EXTREMELY clean and the friendly staff did an outstanding job to make our stay most pleasure able. A special thanks to Ron and May....always smiling and could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Ron was most helpful with my transportation needs....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I highly recommend Dave’s Straw Hat Inn!!!! The beach there was also VERY nice!!!!!!!! P.S. A nice welcoming drink as well....MMmmmmmm!!!!

I really like this hotel's atmosphere and staffs. There is big tree at the center of this hotel.||I like to watch it. And the room is clean, there is mosquito screen for all windows and quite quiet. I could sleep well, and on morning, I heard bird whispering. It's so beautiful.||Staffs are very kind and polite. My cellphone is broken by sinking in the sea on a first day of my trip. But Thank to staffs, I could enjoy my trip even without watch and taking photo. Staffs made me wake up every morning, and told me what time is it now whenever I leave or come back to the hotel.||Lastly I wanna write about pancake which I ordered on a breakfast. I love it very much, It's not only beautiful shape, but also yummy! I can't forget it. If I have chance to visit there, please let me order again. Now I regret that I couldn't take this pancake's photo.||Anyway, I appreciate all of staff.||Thanks a lot.

The staff are very friendly and kind. If you need them they will assist you always. The room is clean and nice. Thanks for everything, if I go again to Boracay I will visit again. Philippines Review #2 During one of my visits to Boracay Island, I booked a room at the other end of the island for part of my stay. All rooms have free Wi-Fi access and a simple made to order breakfast is included. They have four different type of rooms from a deluxe room down to a fan cooled hut that only sleeps 1. I stayed in a "standard cottage" and I only paid like $38-$40 US per night. Hey, all I need is a decent bed, a shower and A/C. OVERALL: This is not a 5 star resort by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want stay at great property with great service for a very reasonable price, Dave's Straw Hat Inn is a very good option.

The atmosphere here is very friendly and almost family-like. Very cheap well maintained rooms that was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet and tucked away, but only a few steps away from the beach and bars. Glad I picked this place for my stay
