1 Star They need negative stars!! Warning: Dishonest Billing Practices - Check with Your Insurance! I had a terrible experience here. They quoted me for treatment without telling me the quote was based on no insurance coverage, even though I provided my insurance information. Later, I found out the charges were way higher than what my plan allows. To make matters worse, they pressured me into signing up for a loan on the spot. When I filed a grievance with my insurance company, the office immediately sent me to collections. This is completely unethical. Always verify with your insurance BEFORE agreeing to any treatment here, because they do not make it clear. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Great First Impression, Terrible Follow-Through I had an appointment at The Dental Office of Carson with Dr. Tiffany Pham for a dental cleaning. While Dr. Pham was warm, friendly, and made me feel at ease from the start -- even when reviewing X-rays and explaining the treatment plan -- the experience quickly went downhill. After a brief exam and discussion about a treatment plan, Dr. Pham told me she'd be back in several minutes after informing the front desk. I ended up sitting there for over 30 minutes with no updates, no communication, and no follow-up. No one checked on me until I finally got up to ask what was going on. The person who took my X-rays casually said, "Oh, I guess not," when I asked if the cleaning would still happen. That kind of response is completely unprofessional. Nearly two hours of my time was wasted, and not a single person acknowledged the delay or offered an explanation. As a new patient, this was a terrible first impression. A simple update would've gone a long way, but instead I was left in the dark with zero regard for my time. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend The Dental Office of Carson or Dr. Tiffany Pham to anyone expecting respect, clear communication, or professionalism.

Several years later-- the quality of customer service and speed of service have gone down a bit.. esp for a random Tuesday morning. Maybe due to short staffing or more clients? But be prepared to wait just incase it's one of those days. Checked in 10:18 for a 10:30 appt and didn't speak with staff until 11:15, got called in for xrays, and then into a chair and seen by the dentist by 11:45 for cleaning. The care itself was thorough and straight forward. Dr. Pham has been a pleasure each time and has been helpful with addressing my oral care concerns and questions. I forgot that with the layout of the office, you can hear what's going on around you--like someone in pain as they're getting their teeth pulled out with local anesthetic.

I was treated well and the staff was lovely. I would come back again. Even though I hate the dentist.

This is my second visit with Dr. Tiffany Pham. She is always a delight. She eases the tension in the room, she is easy to talk to and her bedside manner is great. Will definitely be keeping her as my dentist for years to come! Jocelyn the dental assistant was the absolute sweetest. Her demeanor was remarkable, also delightful. Despite claiming that she is new a this office, I believe she's already doing great! Her attitude is what made the visit that much more pleasant. Keep up the positive attitude and great work Jocelyn! (I hope I'm not butchering the spelling of her name)

On June 20,2025, My regular dentist, Dr. Pham, was out on vacation, so I was seen by Dr. Chon. He was polite but rushed through the process and didn't give me any aftercare instructions. The next morning, the crown was loose and painful leading it to fall out while I was at my yoga class. I tried calling the office but couldn't reach anyone, so I used the emergency line. They told me to wait until Monday, but no one followed up. On June 27th, Dr Pham placed my crown and her treatment was more thorough. She truly took more time to fix my crown. I asked Dr Pham to let me know when she leaves the practice. I then politely asked the receptionist to put a note on my file to call me if Dr Pham is unavailable. I told the receptionist and the dental assistants that I love their service but I don't want Dr Chon near my mouth ever again. The crown could have fell out while I was asleep!!! I am sure the staff are well aware of the complaints about Dr Chon because I noticed them smirking. If you have to go here, I highly recommend requesting Dr. Pham. She's the only reason I'm staying with this office. I have filed a grievance with my dental insurance, and if I'm not satisfied with their response, I'll be submitting one to the Department of Managed Healthcare too. If you've had a similar experience, I strongly recommend you do the same.

This was such a great experience. From the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left. I wish I could remember my hygienist name, but I asked them to keep me with her. She was so great! The dentist was amazing, he didn't oversell me on things. In fact, he told me l'm not a good candidate because of a nerve issue I have. My other dentist was throwing Invisalign and veneers on me without concern of what health wise that could affect me. Imagine that, an honest business! (Ps- I read somewhere someone says they offer something to go on yelp. Not once did they tell me to make the review, I did this of my own free will because I truly had a great experience!

We came in for an emergency extraction. Customer service was very dismissive. They should have addressed me when I walked in. I'm very disappointed in their service and I hope the care matches what some of these reviews say. As an educator it takes a lot for me to take a day off and I want our time to be respected. I've found that the care from the doctor is very good, so if you can look beyond the folks in the front they'll be a great option. Hopefully they work on their ability serve customers effectively with kindness and efficiency.

First visit to this office and couldn't be happier. I'm deeply terrified of dentists from past experiences and today was my first time here, from the moment I walked in I was warmly welcomed and given that it was Halloween the staff was dressed up and super fun. The staff was very kind and energetic, office was clean and warm, not creepy and didn't have that over powering "dentist smell". Dr Lee was so kind, so knowledgeable and was able to offer a solution and response to all my concerns. I'm very happy and would recommend to others.

We moved to Cason last year and had to give up our previous dentist due to long commute. We found this dental office through Yelp and my husband, my son, and myself started to get our teeth checked here. We slowly notice that they charge extra services that we didn't even get. They would also do a basic cleaning that lasts 20 minutes but charge us for the price of a deep cleaning. Recently, I took my 2 year old in for his regular check up and got fluoride applied on his teeth. Today, I got a letter from my insurance company indicating that 2 bitewing X-rays, 5 additional root X-rays, and 4 oral/facial imaging were performed. This place is so sketchy!! would not recommend!!

First off, I want to say, Dr Tiffany Pham was Amazing. This review is not about her I received cleaning and it was my first time at this facility. Although, the staff was friendly. The cleaning was absolutely TERRIBLE by the Dental Assistant. She was a young asian girl who literally did not know how to do her job. I have received multiple cleanings since i was 4 yrs old and this was the Worst I've ever received. I could have done better brushing my teeth at home. In addition, Dr Chon told my daughter, he was going to do a deep clean, to charge her for that. My daughter was done 10 minutes before me and I had a half ass very basic cleaning. My daughter stated, it was literal half ass, did not even rinse her mouth, ect and she said this was the worst ever. It definitely was not a deep clean as she had a deep clean before. They also try to upsell and offer services than needed.

I have gone here for years and have gotten the best and up to date services. I highly recommend this office.

Great experience getting periodontal maintained. The doctor who helped me was kind and cheerful and informative.

Been coming here for years now. Very clean have good music playing. The hygienists and Dentists are gentle and do a great job answering any questions or concerns I have and keep my teeth clean and white! Highly recommend.

3-4 year update: the crown from this root canal fell out last summer i've been working as a pediatric CDA for the past 2 years because this experience urged me to give kids a fun and comforting environment when it comes to dental care. as a dental assistant, I'd recommend doing your research on other private practice dentists! if you have kids (up to age 17) go to a pediatrics specialized dental office. the truth is, big name dental offices will try to get as many people in as possible and focusing on your comfort + care, is out the window .

I recently switched to this dental office because their hours are more convenient. Reviews were high, so I assumed the switch would be positive. Nope! This office is a joke and I will not be returning after one visit. For one, my wait more than 20 minutes before I walked back for x-rays. Technology is modern and the facility is clean so I will give this office that much credit. After the hygienist prepped the room, I sat for close to another 20 minutes before Dr. Chon walked in. He was not warm or welcoming at all. He looked at my x-rays, walked out and another guy came in. Jason ( I believe) was sent to explain the services being provided and showed me a list of charges. I was told I had a cavity to fill and needed to pay a portion which was not covered by my insurance. Huh???? I visit the dentist faithfully every 6 months and am ALWAYS told how healthy my teeth and gums are. Suddenly, I switch to a new facility, am told I have a cavity, and have to pay a portion of the bill. when I asked Jason to show me the x-ray and cavity, he searched and couldn't see anything. Dr. Chon was sent back in to explain instead. The doctor pulls up a film with what he claimed was a spot on the side of one tooth (that I could not see at all!!) and claimed it was the beginning of a tiny cavity that needed a composite filling not fully covered by my insurance. I kindly told him to clean my teeth so I can be on my merry way. He left and came back about 15 minutes later. Within an hour and a half, I got a very low-level cleaning. No mouthwash, no rinse, and a half ass floss. As soon as I got home, I went online and switched right back to the dentist I've been with for the last 10+ years. I will sacrifice the time off work every 6 months and have my teeth cleaned right, a cavity filled (if that is a true claim), floss, mouth rinse, and leave with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss in hand. This office will not see a dime of money from me or my insurance company again. **Side note, I have no clue who Walter Jefferson is. When I checked my insurance records, that is the name of the person who billed my insurance company. Interesting...

Worst service! They forced me into a teeth whitening then after my results didn't come out good I was told I could have just done crest white strips. Absolutely a waste of money!

This office is clean, modern and nice. The office staff js great at contacting/alerting patients for appointment reminders & necessary items to ensure before each appointment. The doctors are able to explain and show patients their dental care needs on a visual screen. Each patient care experience is individualized and nice. I am happy with my choice of moving to this dental office

From the walk in, the lobby was very nice and not too scary. Very well decorated! Everyone is very kind, and cleaning is fast and efficient! Feeling clean already!

I recently had a crown become dislodged, so I had to find a dentist to replace it. After looking at a few, I chose this place. I made an appointment where they took some x-rays of the tooth, cleaned up the area, made mold for new crown , and placed a temporary one. Dr. Chon did the clean-up work after numbing the area and the initial taking of the mold. Afterward, one of the dental technicians (Vanessa?) took some more impressions, placed the temporary, and made adjustments to it. In two weeks they will place the permanent one. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. Vanessa, the technician, was efficient and very proficient at her job. The same can be said for Dr. Chon as well. The place is very clean as befits a dental office.

Omg this is a hidden fen in Carson. I have had great and bad experiences during the last 8 years. I was very impressed with their technology and dental practices. I have never had such accurate care and it was awesome to have crowns for once and not bite on molding. Everything was done with scans and high technology. I even got my crowns the same day. That part of everything was Dr. Tiffany Pham, who took her time to listen to my needs. She was diligent and very empathetic. It's not every day you meet a dentist who takes their time with a patient and makes sure that they're not in pain. I was very impressed with her peoples skills and the fact that she looked like she loved her job. She made sure I was comfortable and has a great personality. The staff here is also amazing. They took their time with me and they also got me approved for a payment plan in the spot. I give Russ place 10 stars

I've been a patient here for the past two years and my thoughts are: - it is extremely easy to get an appointment here! I had an emergency with tooth pain and was able to book same day through the dental portal. :) i've rescheduled maybe once and they are super nice about it and pick up the phone pretty quick - every person i have met here is welcoming and super informative. if i have any questions they always break it down for me in a way that makes sense. - the quality here is amazing y'all! everything they use feels super refreshing and i've never once had to raise my eyebrow when they pull out anything to use on me (lol). highly recommend this office if you're looking to be welcomed (and leave) with a quality smile.

Billing department is extremely misleading. I have asked for a copy of my husbands updated estimate(ran through our insurance) and they have yet to provide me one with the correct numbers. I have called their office various times to relay my insurance request for them to contact them, and was told they would just to show up the day of the appointment to the old estimate. My husband was really excited to get his dental work done here, but its things like this that makes you not want to return. Not to mention not abiding by the insurance(which they are in-network with) is against the law. I am hopeful we can work something out, but wanted to leave this review for others that might be in a similar situation.

The entire staff at The Dental Office of Carson is so friendly and helpful. Dr Chon is kind and thorough. The dental hygienist was so gentle all around great experience. I am no longer dreading the dentist office!!!

First and foremost I haven't had a good dental experience in many years which has led to my lack of dental care in the year however by luck and chance I was able to find this dental office! I had a dental emergency and was given a same day appointment. All the staff form the front desk, the dental assistants and Dr. Pham made me feel incredibly comfortable and safe. Even when it came time to do the dental work and figure out payment plans they talked me through the type of work I would need and showed me cost breakdown on everything. Dr. Pham was open to answering all my questions. I've been make several time now for follow up and shes been so professional and welcoming. I'm glad I finally found a dental office that I feel comfortable enough to come back to. Also their Halloween decorations are so cute

Dr. Pham is one of the kindest doctors and I absolutely love that I can check in via the my chart app! It makes the visit effortless and they also offer same day crowns etc.

The vibes, immaculate. The care, fantastic. I had the pleasure of getting a deep cleaning today through a program they do once a year where they offer free care. I will only come here for care from now on. Not only is the staff fantastic I really respect businesses who give back to their community. It's obvious their staff is happy which is also important to me because I don't trust businesses who's staff look miserable. And side note, the Playlist was fire

They do great work but in all honesty I would be very careful about how they bill and charge you. I have dental insurance which does cover this. But I was instructed to take out a care credit card to pay for the work my insurance already covers. And as of now I received yet another bill from them informing I have to pay another bill which is the same payment I already paid prior.

Dr. Pham is one of the best dentist I've had thus far. She explains everything in detail and is easy to talk to. Ms. Rosie in the front is also very helpful and great to talk to. I definitely would recommend this dental Office. Great people.

Let me just say that I've been coming to this amazing dental office for about 3-4 years now, and today was one of the best experiences I've had. The front office staff is always polite, friendly and helpful. I had my x-rays done by a wonderful technician and I wish I remembered his name. What really made me come on here to write a review was the amazing experience I had with Shyanne Inghram! She is phenomenal!! Talk about best practice! She is a model for excellence patient care! I'm so thankful to have experienced such wonderful care. Please keep up the good work at this office.

Came here for a crown as fillings don't last longer than a year (and those fillings can cost $100-$200 even with insurance). With my insurance, the crown cost around $500. When created, there were issues with it so I had to come in for adjustments several times. What I don't like about this place is that it doesn't respect appointment times. I made an appointment but yet had to wait 50 minutes before I was even seen. When I came in with no appointment, they saw me in 10 minutes which makes no sense. Thus, I stopped making appointments since I have to wait longer to be seen. One time I came in but the doctor decided to leave work 3 hours before their closing time for no reason at all. Wow, it must be nice to decide to end work 3 hours before closing time just because you're lazy.

There is one particular Dental Assistant named Itza, who was very sweet. HOWEVER, the front desk staff is horribly rude. Not sure if it's a racial thing or what. But yeah, they're rude.

Dentist sure like to take his time. What's he doing besides attending to me? Where could he possible have gone to unless he's looking up dental procedure tutorials in his office or something. Most of your time at this dental office will be spent sitting alone, interrupted by a few minutes of administrative jargon

Don't get fooled by the rating. Lack of communication specially the front desk and doctor. They only care about money and insurance they don't care about their patients.

I've had a really positive experience here. I've been here for the following services: - exam - deep cleaning - replace a filling - tooth extraction The staff/team here is super friendly and they've made me feel at ease during each visit. They've been patient, kind, and very understanding. Whether it's help with billing, choosing the best option, or scheduling... the team here is great!

Follow up review- I've continued to support this dental office for 5 years. Adrienne is the absolute best hygienist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is gentle and very sweet. She makes my visit very pleasant. Now for the negative side- it was recommended that I get a root canal back in June. I declined. They said that they went over pricing at that time- I honestly don't remember or think that they did. Fast forward to six months after that visit and they refer me out to an endo for the root canal. I go. Same day. Endo does the root canal. I come back to Dental Office of Carson for the crown. They tell me it's going to be $855 out of pocket for a crown. That is outrageous. If they would have been upfront with all the costs and fees before referring me out on December 29th, I never would've went to the Endo for the root canal. I would have shopped around for a different dental office that could do the crown at a reasonable price and then apply the discount from my insurance. There is a breakdown of communication and their prices are ridiculous. I'm not feeling Dr. Chon either.

What a great team!! Everyone is very professional!! Dr.Chon and Dr.pham the whole office is top notch. No need to fear the dentist here.

So I was referred to this dental office by my wife since I haven't seen a dentist in awhile. I was a bit nervous going into a new dental office but as soon as I came in the vibe was awesome. I was greeted by the office manager Johanna who was very welcoming. The staff that took me in was very welcoming and also was nice enough to explain what procedure they would be doing since I am an overthinker. Compared to the dental office I went to as a kid, this office is way more advanced in every level. They worked with me especially after I told them I had difficulty opening my mouth as a result of suffering from Bell's palsy three years ago. The dentist that saw me that day was also very nice and receptive towards my concerns and explained what needed to be done. Overall a great experience

First and foremost, The Dental Office Carson is THE NICEST dental office in Carson. I have been to many offices in the city, as a resident for more than 20 years. I am so glad they have opened an office in our community. The staff members are friendly & efficient. The appointment (online or by phone) is super easy. Especially for people like me, making my appointment online the night before, was the best. The office is clean, smells so good and it was easy to find (on the corner of Carson Street & Avalon) right across the street from City Hall. Thank you Rosie & Johanna for making my check-in welcoming. Thanks Dr. Chung for keeping my smile on point!!

Shyanne is Amazing ! I've been coming here for years, everyone has always been so gentle and kind. Today I met Shyanne "Shy" for short, totally recommend :) so gentle.

The best experience I have had in decades at the dentist. Johana worked with me so I could understand the numbers I got a 3 Unit Bridge for $3300 and if I wanted the implant it would have only been 2k. The office manager is awesome, the staff are just the best. I walked in so lost and confused, I had been quoted $11k for an implant and $9k for a bridge at a DIFFERENT place. This is the office you want your family to receive care.

This dental office is a scam!!!!! All they care about is money. They don't care about the quality of your teeth. They're friendly starting off but always throwing things at you to spend more money. I've gotten quite a lot of dental work done here, probably more than I needed. But I trusted them as professionals, the whole time all they cared about was MONEY! I came in multiple times telling DR. CHON my bite was off & he refused to fix the problem. I've always had a nice smile and straight teeth but now they messed them up and refuse to help! I told Dr. Chon I was in pain and my bite was off MULTIPLE times after he did my dental work. He told me I just need to get braces again. NO, FIX WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!! He refused to help, he refused to check my bite, he refused to check my X-rays in front of me. He wouldn't even examine my mouth. But he mentioned more money? Even when I say I'm in pain. That's all he care about is money!!!! I've been going to this office for 3 years, they really went downhill. And I've spent thousandssss of dollars!!! You would think they would care more about their patients but THEY DONT!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! They messed up my beautiful teeth and smile by doing crappy dental work!!
