It’s a nice experience. The guy talking was very knowledgeable and knew every elephant by name and history. The wait to get in is unorganized and we had to pay an additional $147 to get into the park with the car which we thought was excessive (that’s not including the $20 per person to get into the elephant orphanage. To get in, you need to pre book online for the orphanage but also need to fill out a form to get into the park (which is mandatory) and if you haven’t done that beforehand, it could take a good 30 minutes to complete and pay for. The entry process is the only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5. It’s a shame because once inside, it was a definite 5 star.

The Sheldrick trust looks after orphaned elephants. They are rescued from different parts of Kenya and brought in and given professional care and protection including medical care. The elephant babies seemed to be well looked after. One can feed the elephants and pet them too as they are very friendly. They also have two rhinos that are kept secure and taken care of. The organization seems to be very dedicated towards their goals and the people who work here do so with passion. You will need to book a visit through email at least 48 hours in advance and the visit is only from 11am to 12pm. Strongly recommended to visit if you are in Nairobi.

Had an amazing experience at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery. It was both educational and inspiring to learn about the conservation efforts being made to protect orphaned elephants. Edwin was especially knowledgeable—his insights and stories from his time working there really brought the whole experience to life. You can tell how much the team cares about the animals. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Nairobi—it’s an unforgettable experience that supports an important cause.

An amazing experience with elephants that no one should miss out on once in Nairobi. It can get crowded with a lot of people snapping photos of elephants. They open for public for 1 hour from 11 am - 12 pm. I took this trip as part of a tour by my hotel which includes the National Park sd well . Warning: You get to hear a lot of elephants farts 😂😂😂😂

My experience at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was an eye-opening and heartwarming. Before my visit, I had never truly considered what happens to orphaned animals, but seeing the young elephants up close changed that. Watching them drink their milk, just like babies longing for their mothers, was an incredibly touching moment. What makes Sheldrick even more remarkable is their adoption program, which allows you to support an orphaned elephant for just $50 per year. Knowing that your contribution helps provide care, nourishment, and rehabilitation for these gentle giants makes the experience even more meaningful. If you're ever in Nairobi, this is a must-visit destination, not just for the adorable elephants, but for the incredible conservation work being done to give them a second chance at life.

Such a fun experience spending the afternoon watching the orphaned baby elephants eat and play. The precocious babies are so so cute and it’s so heartwarming to know they’re being expertly cared for to one day be reintegrated into the wild. I love what Sheldrick is doing for wildlife that would otherwise not survive on their own.

We went with my friend to see the elephants. It was a very wonderful experience, we got to meet the elephants and they explained to us the stories of each elephant, we got to see the elephants being fed. It's a one hour experience but absolutely 💯 worth it.
