She reviewed my inspiration photos and executed everything with such precision and care. Throughout the 5+ hour appointment, she remained detail-oriented, attentive, and committed to perfection. Her skill, artistry, and passion for her work are undeniable. I left feeling beyond happy with the results, she is a true talent, and I can’t recommend her enough - best balayage experience ever! Davida Salon overall is such a wonderful spot. It’s a hidden gem that’s inviting, everyone is friendly, and they have the best music. I’ve gotten my hair done by Elle and I can’t rave enough about it- I have super straight hair that needs to be cut and textured a certain way or else it’s a sheet and Elle does just that! He’s thoughtful and precise, and so encouraging about hair styles. 1000% recommend if you haven’t been before & definitely book an appointment with Elle, he’s got talent upon talent.

From beginning to end it was truly a positive experience. Making the appointment in person was easy. Gabby at the front desk is super bubbly, nice, and helpful. On the day of my appointment I felt welcomed and well taken care of. My stylist, Elle, was attentive and made me feel confident with the haircut we went for. The location is clean and well taken care of. I’m excited that I found this place and can’t wait to continue going back for all my hair needs!

This was my first time at Davida Salon and they did not disappoint. Miriana and Suzana are truly amazing. Miriana and Suzana worked together, with Miriana handling the color & Suzana doing the haircut/blowout. They’re both extremely talented and would recommend going to either of them for your hair needs!!

I haven't colored or dyed my hair in 16.5 years, so I spontaneously decided to have it done on a random Friday afternoon. I called into the salon expecting to get turned down, but Gabby at the front desk was able to squeeze me in right away and was such a delight to talk to! I was paired up with the hairstylist Lucy, and told her I wanted a layered haircut with a chocolate brown balayage.....and let me tell you, SHE DELIVERED! Amazing skills. Lucy was very attentive to my hair and her hands were so gentle dealing with my very long, tangled hair. She also gave me tips to help maintain it as much as possible, even cutting and coloring it so it will nicely blend as it grows out. L This was my first time at Davida, and certainly not my last!! I thank you all very much for squeezing me in and transforming my dream hair into reality!

Highly recommend getting your hair done here!!! The interior is clean, spacious, and the staff is attentive to your needs from the moment you walk into the salon. Adriana did an AMAZING job with my balayage and cut. I walked out feeling like a new person! Adriana and Davida Salon will be my new go-to salon!

- Still Obsessed After 8 Years! Okay, listen up, people--if you haven't gotten your hair done at Davida's Salon with Melba yet, WHAT are you even doing with your life?! I've been coming here for over 8 yrs and Melba has NEVER disappointed. I'm talking about flawless balayage, cut, blow dry, and the curls that make me feel like I just stepped off a runway. ‍ Every time I leave, I feel like I just walked out of a shampoo commercial. Seriously, if you want hair that gets compliments from strangers this is the place. Melba listens to exactly what I want, and then somehow pulls off the impossible--transforming my hair into something that always looks better than I imagined. And the best part? It's like hanging out with your best friend while you're getting your hair done. Melba's energy is top-tier--chill, friendly, funny, and always full of great convo. You leave feeling refreshed not just because of your hair, but because of the entire experience. I'm pretty sure I could go in with a mop on my head and Melba would work some magic to make it look amazing. If you haven't booked your appointment yet, go ahead, treat yourself. You deserve it. Trust me, you'll be hooked. Also, if you haven't booked in advance, you might be waiting a bit...but it's SO worth it.

Suzana is the best! She has done my babylights twice now and they grew out beautifully in the 6 months between coloring. When I was in last week she listened to exactly what I wanted to change from the first session and gave me exactly what I needed. I ended up getting engaged the day after the session and am so happy that I had been in the day before! She is also so kind and funny 10/10.

Rue gave me the exact color and cut I asked for! Will 100% be coming back!! Highly recommend :)

I love this salon and Suzana!!! She's cut my hair maybe 8 times now and I always leave so happy with the results. She worked with me through prepping my hair for my wedding and then did a fun chop for me afterwards. So important to find a stylist you trust that understands your vision. Davida is also very conveniently located for me - I will not go anywhere else!

Kostiantyn is amazing! He did the best highlights I've ever had -- and that's not easy to do. The color looks soft, dimensional, and so natural. On top of that, he gives incredible haircuts that grow out beautifully. He's detail-oriented, easy to talk to, and truly cares about his clients. I always leave feeling my best. Highly recommend!

I have been going here for years and have seen a lot good stylists. Elle has been the best one that I have seen. He gets what I want and that I like to go bold with the red. Everyone who works there is so nice. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Love Gabby the receptionist. Lucy does very good precision cuts and all sorts of highlights. I received thin well blended blonde foils for Lucy in a great ashy tone.

I get my haircut with Kostiantyn. He is the best! Always listens to my vision and also provides his expert opinion when I ask.

Rue did such an amazing job on my balayage last week! She really paid attention to the details and listened to exactly what I wanted. I showed her a photo from this salons instagram of the look/color I was going for, and she matched it perfectly. She recommended that I should blend everything (my dark roots) with a root melt (extra 55) and it made such a difference! The color flows so seamlessly and nothing looks too harsh or jarring, especially since I wanted to go as light as possible without the upkeep or maintenance of doing a full head bleach. Rue and her team were super gentle the whole time, especially during the bleaching and wash. When they brushed my hair out, I barely felt anything. I've had appointments at other places where it was painful getting my hair brushed after shampooing, but this was the opposite. I really love the money pieces she did, and the way she toned and styled everything. I have more hair than she expected so we ended up going over time, but she still made it work. She gave me her full attention throughout the 5+ hour appointment. She cared about making sure everything was right. I had mentioned my side bangs and the specific way I wanted my hair to be cut early on, and she remembered and made sure to cut my hair exactly how I like it! I also reached out to Rue on instagram with a couple of questions afterwards, and she responded to my DM and helped me out. It felt like the appointment didn't just end when I left the salon. You can tell she's really dedicated to her work and to making sure her clients are happy.

I've been to a few stylists in the city and Adriana is absolutely the best! She always gets my blonde right and gives the perfect cut. If you're looking for someone to do your hair, she's your girl!!

I can't recommend Davida salon enough for color and cut. Suleyman has been doing my hair for quit some time. He has worked with me through my hair damage and always takes the time to listen and give me exactly what I ask for. He's relaxed, kind and a wonderful stylist.

I cannot believe how amazing my hair looks after some of Erik's magic!!! I let Erik go free style and he made decisions based on what would look best with my face shape and boy am i glad he did!! I was super last minute and they were able to take me on and WOW I have found my new go to spot. Great vibes. My walked out of there looking like a bombshell goddess. 10/10 JAW IS ON THE FLOOR

I absolutely love Davida Salon! First off, the people at the front are always so kind and get you settled in nicely, asking if you need anything hung up or a drink (they offer bevs like water, coffee, even wine!) I see Mariana for my blonde + she is a MIRACLE WORKER. She understood exactly what I wanted and executed beyond what I had even envisioned! She's my new go-to, for sure. I also see Elizabeth for blowouts + she consistently does an *incredible* job! Overall, would 10/10 recommend Davida!

worst salon I have ever been to! The stylist got bleach on my clothes and it stained and they didn't aplogize! Their work looked cheap/ not blended and not worth the money!

Great service, fast and efficient. Everyone is so friendly. I have thick, straight Asian hair and my stylist, Rue, knows exactly how to deal with it. Got a hair cut which includes wash and blow dry. I left the salon feeling light and refreshed!

[Updated review] have been going here for the past ten years. Nicole - manages the location and Clientele well. One of their newer stylist messed up, but she engaged professionally to ensure I continue to be their customer.

I had the best experience! Everyone was so nice and friendly. Adriana is a wizard and took my hair from flat to mega volume. Already scheduled my next appointment before I left I was so impressed.

I can't say enough great things about Mariana and for the Davida salon as well. Mariana is a true hair artist and she really cares about the clients hair. I have almost black hair and how she gets the color so blonde is magic!! My last hair dresser moved back to Lebanon after me seeing him for 23 years and I was freaked out and did tons of research before coming to Davida. Everyone from Juanita at the front desk to all the stylists are professional and excellent... I see the others work their magic and client who leaves looks like a movie star. I have seen Mariana 3 times and not only does she listen to what you want, she really care about the quality of your hair and wants it to be healthy. I want to be practically bleach blonde but she says my hair will break and I trust and respect everything she says and I don't know how she does it: She takes such time doing meticulous weaving of the hair (and mines pretty thick) and she works fast which is another thing I love. She gave me a haircut this time which came out exactly the way I wanted it to. I really can't say enough good things about her. My only concern is that she's so good, i'm afraid i won't be able to get an appointment with her!!! The salon is also excellent about giving you a reminder text which I love and the prices are very fair for the neighborhood. If you go to Davida and book with anyone you will NOT be disappointed!!!

I love my haircut! Linda was my stylist and she did an amazing job, she was so friendly and made me feel comfortable in the chair. My hair feels so much better after the cut. I don't live in the city but any time I need my hair done in New York I will be going back to Linda at Davida Salon!

Gabby is literally THE best. I've been going to this salon for 3 years and I'm super picky with my hair but she's been killing it every single time. had my hair cut by melba and she's absolutely incredible! the entire experience from when i got there to when i left was great! everyone who works there is super nice! melba listened to all of my concerns. it was my first time going to this salon after having a few not so great experiences at nearby salons and i was so nervous. i had grown my hair out pretty long and wanted a decent chop and melba crushed it! it couldn't have been easy having a new client go in asking for a big chop, but she cut iteratively and made sure i was happy every step of the way! thank you melba and the davida crew for a wonderful haircut!! i've finally found my new hair spot!

Rue is amazing! This is my 3rd time seeing her and she nails it every time. I show a reference photo and it's spot on. Super sweet and pays attention to detail. Bonus- free wine if you want! Best place for balayage in the city!

Absolutely amazing. The staff is incredible, the receptionist was sweet & attentive, they make sure you are comfortable & have a very welcoming environment. Erik was incredible he took my dead sad hair and brought it to an entirely new level. I left a new woman! I'm so happy I chose this salon & that the receptionist booked me with Erik I couldn't be happier!

I've been coming here for years, and it's amazing to see how well they've evolved after the pandemic. I highly recommend Miriana for not only a giggly and fun experience, but she GETS it. A lot of the times when I'm explaining my vision, I worry if I'm even making any sense, and then 2 hours later, she nails it in such a casual and nonchalant way. She's truly a wizard! I've given her tons of challenges over the years, and most recently, I went from mid-back length to above the shoulder - do you know how many people have told me that I was MADE FOR SHORT HAIR? If I had to pick the most commonly used word, it'd be "sassy," which is not only THE biggest compliment, but again, exactly what I was going for as a woman knocking on the door of 40.

Miriana performed her magic once again! I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else touch my hair. She is the best, and makes the time go by so fast with great conversation. She is so knowledgeable and will tell you what is best for your hair health and looks wise!
