David's Bagels Valley Cottage

Stopped here before a hike and it was great. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a gluten free everything bagel which was so good! I was surprised it was gluten free it was so doughy. My partner got a normal poppy seed bagel and he said it was delicious. Had a great experience and breakfast!

I placed a large order with the owner Paula for a family friend’s Shiva. Paula was such a pleasure to work with and in my opinion went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the order. She even reached out the following day to make sure her food was well received, and it was. I highly recommend this bagel/bakery shop for their excellent food and service.

David's Bagels is a staple from my childhood into adulthood. I have moved a little away from the joint but make a point to come back whenever I can to get the best BEC bagel! The staff is great and very helpful even carried my large order to the car for me.

David’s Bagels in Valley Cottage is the best all around! Their cold cut and sandwich platters are so awesome and look so pretty you almost feel bad digging and and messing it up. And their fruit bowl…. I don’t know where they get their fruit from but it is the best tasting fruit all year round! And of course their bagels are delicious. EVERYONE who works there are polite and curious and they always have a smile on their face. I could go on and on! Love this place!!!!

Quick ordering. Fresh ingredients. Bobo on sesame seed flagel and turkey sandwich 10/10. Cream cheeses look awesome too. Can’t wait to go back.

I went here for the first time, and these are by far the best bagels I’ve ever had! Super fresh and delicious, with an amazing variety of cream cheese options. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Rockland County.

If you love freshly baked bagels, this is the place for you! They have an assortment of delicious bagels, all mouth watering! However, they don't only make bagels...you can get muffins, bialys, cookies, yogurts, fresh fruit cups, a breakfast omelet, sandwiches, salads etc. The staff & owners are friendly. Here, you can pick up a quick bite & go, or opt to stay & you never feel rushed! Warm, friendly atmosphere with great service & food! This is our local place & it's nice when you walk in to be greeted like a close friend or relative!

Driving by on an early Saturday morning, I noticed the sign and decided to get breakfast. I walked in, and I was surprised at how packed it was. There was a line, but it moved very fast. The place is big and has tables to sit at. The thing that made this an efficient trip was the service. The person taking my order made my order, then rang me up. It was shocking how fast I went from standing in line to enjoying my breakfast. I ordered a regular coffee with milk and sugar, simple and delicious, and a raisin bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was toasted and heavy on the cream cheese. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, I couldn't stop, which is why there isn't a picture. Next time I pass by, I will definitely stop by to try something else.

An amazing assortment of bagels, bialys and flagels along with a fantastic variety of cream cheeses. Plenty of cold cut and salads for sandwiches and a friendly staff willing to make what you want. Clean comfy dining area.

My very first bagel in New York and I enjoyed every bite! We got the Nova Scotia with cream cheese bagels, potato salad, macaroni salad, banana creme coffee and coconut caramel coffee. Friendly and fast service! The space is spacious with a lot of other beverage/snack selections all around.

Ever since I moved to Rockland, I've been coming here at least once a week for breakfast or lunch. The portions are generous and the bagels, cream cheeses, iced coffee, and pastries are always fresh and delicious. I've tried a bunch of different foods here and have never been disappointed. Moreover the owner Paula and the rest of the people working here are super friendly.

Very disappointing. Not the NY style bagel I was expecting - did not seem super fresh and didn't have that crunchy/chewiness. I used to come here all the time but something has changed.

I frequent David's Bagels (Valley Cottage) many times a week. I have used their services for catering and individual meals. I love their bagels (and all the accoutrements) and the service goes above and beyond. Paula and her crew know all the regulars, including what they like to eat or drink. They are friendly and welcoming to all who come in.

This place is consistently awesome. Every time I have gone here I left happy. The bagels are delicious and always fresh . The staff is polite and friendly. The lines are usually long but move quickly and unlike other places it's worth the wait. I'm happy to spend my hard earned money in a place like this. My new criteria for spending my money is #1 it has to be good.. #2 it has to be worth the cost . . And. #3. They have to appreciate me as a customer. We have so many choices today,so why settle for less. This place checks my boxes.

So I came back to this establishment after having a bad experience a few months ago. I've been coming here since I was fifteen years old, I consider this place as my second home. I came here with the intentions of getting breakfast and go on with my day. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and Paula was the one who was there to take my order. What can I say about Paula? She is one of the best people to work at this establishment. I honestly can say I've never seen Paula have a bad day, and if she did have one she doesn't show it off to her customers. So while I was waiting I spoke to John who I've known for a few years now and he told me listen we are sorry about your experience and the sandwiches are on the house. Personally I didn't care about getting the sandwiches on the house because my intention was to pay for it. When it came to ringing up my order Paula was like "Felix this is on the house and we are so sorry about your last experience with us". One thing I can honestly say is this establishment has treated me so well since I've been coming here. To see Paula and John expressing how sorry they were, definitely made me feel like they both cared about what I went through with my previous experience. So thank you to the owners who hired these two individuals and for making my day.

Fresh, delicious and picturesque! This place is always packed and with good reason. The sandwiches are really good and come with a little complimentary side. There's a good seating area which is hard to come by at bagel shops and delis in the area, There is a bit of a wait but it's worth it and the service is great. The wait is reasonable and orders are accurate. The coffee is delicious. I am all around pleased with this place and would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone in the area of Rockland Lake. It's worth veering off course of 287. It's really that good!

Stopped in here twice this week. It's A well known local spot within Valley Cottage. When I worked in the area, bfast from here was the go to. I had the customary bacon, egg & cheese on A Honey wheat bagel, w/salt & pepper and ketchup. Along with A cup of hot lipton tea, milk and sugar added. It was satisfying per usual.

This place is the best! Between the food itself, the friendly staff and the nice relaxing atmosphere if you choose to sit inside and eat. Sometimes the line is out the door but the line moves quick and it is ALWAYS worth the wait! Stop by and order your favorite bagel and you'll quickly understand why this place is so popular!

Great and sandwiches and a nearly endless supply of bagels. It's a pet peeve of mine when delis run out of bagels. It never happens with them. Sometimes there's a long line but you can't fault them for being popular. They're always moving quick behind the counter.

Excellent people there. Excellent hard workers Good good, sandwiches of breakfast and lunch etc. So stop by try their coffees and more, definitely worth 5 or more stars.

Simply the best place to get your fix for bagels and cream cheese in Rockland County. Their everything bagel never disappoints. It has the perfect amount of seasoning on the outside and the inside is fluffy and perfect. I would also recommend the bacon, jalapeño flavored cream cheese. Everything is so fresh here!

This place deserves 5 starts! I wanted to give less because of the wait time, but that would just be wrong in so many levels. The people here work their bts off, and try their best not to keep you waiting. Their chicken salad is to die for!!!! I think I am mildly addicted to it! Haha

Best bagels in the county (even better than Rockland Bakery). I usually come once a week for breakfast. Just have to be careful what time you come because when they're busy the line is out the door. Their breakfast sandwiches and wraps are also delicious. Can't go wrong getting breakfast at David's.

Best bagels and bialys in the area! Be prepared for a long line on Saturday and Sunday mornings but they keep it moving and it is worth the wait. Great egg sandwiches and lots of cream cheese options available. Friendly and helpful staff. Always willing to check in the back of the flavor you are looking for is not available in the front.

You'd think a simple breakfast sandwich can't be too hard to make but some places just don't know how to get it right. David's bagels definitely knows how to get it done! Hands down, best and most flavorful breakfast sandwich around and I try many different places as I'm always traveling for work. Bagels are on point! No minimum on cards either which is always a plus in my book for breakfast places.

Affordable and delicious bagels with a wide selection of sandwiches and soups. The staff is very friendly and most of them worked here for awhile. The wait can be long sometimes though but they do have a decent seating area available.

Best bagels in town. Period. Many people like rockland bagels or nyack bagels, but I definitely want to say david's bagels are the best. They make amazing breakfast sandwiches also, the shop is large enough to sit and eat in as well. Very cozy, very friendly and most importantly clean! Definitely recommend if you're looking for something better! It's in the shopping center so parking is never an issue either.

This place is amazing, hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. We moved back to New York two days ago and have already been two times. The coffee is on point as well.

I have been to all the Davids bagels in rockland and this 1 sticks out from the rest. They are always very consistent even in their busiest of times. The owner Paula is a super nice hardworking lady that does everything in her power to make sure your order is nothing less than perfect. Whether you live in this area or passing threw this place is home to all.

Over the years this place keeps going farther and farther down hill. It used to be our go to breakfast place every weekend and still is - but that's only because there's no competition. The bagels are good - I'll admit that. But now their prices are higher than when I'm in Manhattan. And by almost 30%! Ridiculous. And the service might be the worst I've ever seen. They hire dumber and dumber employees every week. How you forget about half the sandwiches (when I only ordered four) is nuts. And how even after writing it down, you ask what you wrote down and then still get it wrong. Everyone I know goes here and everyone I know complains. They should shape up and fast before some competition opens and everyone stops going.

Best Bagel place around!!!! My kids LOVE their bagels! Especially the blueberry bagels... WOW! They nailed it! The staff is awesome and the food is GREAT!

I went to another local bagel shop where the employees were not wearing masks or gloves. I walked out and came here. This place does and takes the protocols very serious. In addition, my egg and taylor ham sandwich was so good. I will go out of my way to shop here based on the food, service and cleanliness. Thank you!!!

Just started working in Rockland County and had no idea where to go for a good breakfast. Found my place. David's Bagels has the most polite and friendly staff. The food there is incredible - I created my own breakfast wrap and it was delicious. Would highly recommend!

Great bagels, wide range of cream cheese, and good coffee! Also a great in store environment to stop and eat on a weekend morning. They also have a range of deli sandwiches and breakfast options available and all the baked goods looked delicious. Will probably stop in again

Absolutely love them! Their food is great and they have customer service down to an art! The line is always moving and all the employees are so polite. I wish we didn't move to Suffern as they used to be right around the corner from us. Sausage egg and cheese is to die for!

Love this place. Sometimes there is a line but everyone is quick and helpful. Their egg sandwiches are delish and I love their egg platters. I am also happy they offer almond milk for coffee!

I've been here quite a few times (I live around the corner) and while the times I've gone have been OK, the last time I had visited David's in VC will be the last. I walked in and there were two people ahead of me. I waited in back of them while they ordered. More people eventually came in in back of me and a line formed all the way to the door(as usual since it's a busy place) I stood there getting looked over as it got busier and busier, but was patient because everyone had big orders and all I was ordering was a coffee. After 10 minutes of being ignored I mentioned to the guy who was behind the counter that I had been waiting at least ten minutes and he told me to hold on. He had gotten (who I believe is the manager) and she (who is usually pretty pleasant) was a bit rude and told me "the line is back there" when I explained to her that I had been on line for what was now over ten minutes she said "uh well, idk that. The line is back there" I left and never went back. It wasn't a scene or anything, I'm a waitress myself. However, it left a sour taste in my mouth. As for the food... It's good. Over priced for VC but good. Iced coffee is good too. However I will be taking my business to VC deli for now on.

I've tried other bagel places in the area since I wrote that review, and while I don't think it has the best bagels in the world, they're still pretty good. The veggie cream cheese however, is something I'm going to miss now that I'm out of Rockland -- not sure what they do differently but it's definitely the best I've tasted.

The vanilla-hazelnut iced coffee and BEC & hashbrown on a bagel always cures a hangover or if you're just looking to indulge. They're generous with the bacon! :)

This is my bagel place. The bagels are awesome. I've just recently started ordering breakfast sandwiches and have not been disappointed. I love the bacon scallion cream cheese and the olive pimento cream cheese. Their staff is always nice and friendly.

LOVE David's bagels! The line is alwaysss out the door, especially on weekend mornings. Fresh, made to order food by a quick staff. Their pastries and breakfast sandwiches are deliciousss! Great deli atmosphere - Good place to start your morning by reading your paper or catching the news (two flat screens). I took a star off because they're prices are getting higher.

I used to go here everyday before work years ago before I moved. I recently re-visited David's Bagels and it seems nothing has changed (in a good way). Very simple, deli countered styled bagel shop. I love the consistency and quality of bagels, keep it up!

Omg!!! Best bagel in town. Long lines but totally worth it. Please try all cream cheeses because you won't find one you don't like! Also coffee is great too. Did I mention best bagels!!! Made at the store. Not delivered.

David's in Valley Cottage, NY has the best bagels and the best service. I work close by and go there all the time for lunch.

Best David's bagels in Rockland County. They're the only ones that have bacon scallion cream cheese and they always make the iced coffee on point. Try their vanilla hazelnut iced coffee, best iced coffee I've ever had.

I've been going to David's Bagels for years. Their staff is always friendly and greet me when I come in. The owner Paula is the best. Their bagels are the best in the county. If you order a dozen on the weekend, their bakers dozen is 16 bagels, who does that?. They have a great selection of cream cheese spreads and their breakfast sandwiches are done right. My only complaint is that they close early, usually in the afternoon.

Love this place. Everything I've ever gotten there was fresh and tasty. Paula and the rest of the staff work hard to serve a lot of people every day. The staff is always friendly and it's nice to see pleasant young college kids working hard, especially Bridgette, Emily and Brittany.

Good eggs sandwiches. The made a mistake with mine. Today i asked for no bacon or cheese but got bacon and cheese. No matter it was a mistake. While I usualy go to the new city davids. It was fine and while I did not get bagels. Im sure they are perfect.

GREATEST breakfast sandwiches EVER! we get our breakfast from there EVERY weekend. the line could be out the door at times, but the staff has been there for years and they're PROS at moving that line right along! no matter how busy or overwhelmed, they always get the orders right and they're so fast it's unbelievable. really nice people too... they're always smiling and never fail to ask "so, how are you today?!" LOVE this place! :)
