David's Bagels west nyack & Healthy Eatery

We ordered the Chobo sandwich on a cheese and bacon bagel, and it was so good. The combination of chorizo and hash browns was insanely tasty and perfectly satisfying. We loved it so much that we came back the very next day for round two. On top of that, the service was amazing. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Definitely a must try!

We love David’s bagel in West Nyack. Not only do they make the best sandwiches, but they make sure they take care of each customer in a courteous and very professional manner. We only go to David‘s of West Nyack for our sandwiches.

I tried this place for the first time today while I was in the neighborhood, and I’m so glad I did! The staff is incredibly welcoming, and everyone greets you with a friendly “good morning.” It’s such a cute spot with a large selection of delicious pastries and bagels, all baked fresh daily. The sandwiches are great and you really can’t beat the price. I really like their hazelnut coffee too. Staff are friendly and the overall vibe is welcoming. The shop looks really clean which is a plus.

Only been to David's 2 times and so far no disappointments each time I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel .but the next time im going try one of the sandwiches. The staff are fast and friendly. So I will go back again. Prices are reasonable too.

I recently started coming here, and now I’m obsessed with this place. They have the most delicious spreads, and my favorite is the strawberry cream cheese. I also love the strawberry croissant that’s in the pastry case by the register. The workers are always greeting everyone happily when they walk in, and they seem to be quick to make sure they get the orders done fast. I just love coming here for a good breakfast/brunch that is affordable and yummy!

I go here often, but today I was disappointed. I usually get bagels, treats and breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Today, I got pancakes with berries on the side. Pancakes were undercooked with batter in middle and my berries in the container smelled like celery. This made me wonder if gloves are being worn in the back or switched in between orders or where the berries are being kept? Are they being sliced on same cutting board as celery?? Like I said I love going here, but today was disappointing.

The gluten-free bagel was pretty good too. Good texture and although small, most gf bagels and baked goods need to be to hold up. They come frozen and use the microwave to defrost it so there isn't cross contamination risk in the toaster. Really appreciate that they understand that. Also got a frozen coffee and that was delicious.

The people who work here are so friendly and they always get our order right! We have a little guy with a gluten allergy and he has never gotten sick here. I can't say that for other places closer to our home. It's worth driving past several other places to come here for the service and great food!

Was visiting in the area for a couple of days and found this place after a quick Google search. Definitely a locals spot, and they know all their regulars, adds a great environment to while you're in there waiting for your order. I could see the frustration from other reviews about waiting. Theres a sign by one counter that says order here but no one wound up coming there, just seems like some miscommunication. Whatever it was, I wasn't in a rush and this bagel was worth waiting for. Bacon egg and cheese with avocado hot sauce ketchup on an everything flagel toasted. Phenomenal. Coffee was also pretty good and the sandwich was huge. I'll probably go back there in the morning to be honest. Bacon is nice and crispy, staff was very friendly and wide awake.

Service is amazing, and the food is great. Couldn't ask for better for the price! The Philly cheesesteak is one of the best things on the menu.

Wonderfully nice people. Clean. Bagels are pretty good, sandwiches better. But if you go on a weekend cancel your plans. If there are than 2 people on line youll need 30 minutes. Ive had to walk out a few times. Takes forever.

The food was amazing- five stars! The bagel was fresh and proportioned well. The three stars are due to the ordering and payment process, and general ambiance of the small shop, which is like a scene out of Saving Private Ryan, as everyone is yelling orders to the staff and they are yelling it back. And that's between the yelling of when orders are ready. It's quite chaotic especially since they were busy. Then once you get to the payment station you have to repeat your entire order back to the person that puts your order in so you can pay for it, which is extremely inefficient. Our order was also incomplete when we got our bag so I had to go back in and get what was missing, again most likely due to the crazy ordering process with no quality and accuracy control.

Holy meca of gluten free bagels gods have answered my prayers. I have been to the David's bagel in Pomona but they only have plain gluten free bagels. So when I ask them if they had gluten-free bagels and I get the response "what kind would you like?" My heart skips a beat. I ended up getting the gluten free everything bagel. It was a little smaller then I had hoped but good nevertheless. My husband got a bobo which he described as " perfectly proportioned". I forgot to take a picture because I shoveled it down. I was also happy to see there were so many gluten free options including a gluten free cookie . I was also pleased to see their menu had lots of options including smoothies

Love David's BAGELS and stop here often - even go out of my way to pass it. The service is friendly and the food has been yummy. I am very fussy about my tuna and whitefish salad and both are terrific - reasonable prices and great staff. My new "go to" I noticed that some of the older negative reviews are from years ago. Relatively new owners now.

This was a random pitstop for breakfast. I wasn't expecting much from David's bagels but they delivered on their performance. I ordered a SOBO, a sausage egg and cheese AND hashbrown on a toasted roll and it was delicious. The portion size was big and it wasnt salty to my liking. Customer service was excellent. The workers were attentive and friendly. They made sure you ordered your food. If there were any issues with the food, they made sure they fixed it right away to the customers satisfaction. I'll definitely come here again for any other future pitstops. Thanks guys!

Great bagels and spreads. They gave us a large portion of whitefish on the sandwich and we really enjoyed the flavored iced coffees.

They did good As a pretend restaurant reviewer I'm always ready to visit a place with a terrible rating, to see how they are doing today. I needn't have worried about visiting David's, they did good. It wasn't busy when I walked in and they were happily ready to help. I ordered a few bagels including an Everything with cream cheese for myself. My visit was a get and go, and I had a few minutes to look around. The place was clean and inviting, with some tables for dining in. Along one wall were several menus boards with prices. For the old (and not so old) reviews that complained about made up prices, they may have solved that problem, at least for non-customized items. I liked the staff, didn't pick up on any problems. My bagel was very good, seemed fresh, plenty of cream cheese. My order was correct, 3 bagels with cream cheese for $7.50, what I expected after looking at the menu board. They had a good selection of bagels at 7:30 in the morning. I didn't see too much on display that made me think healthy eatery, but I was there for bagels. It might be time to give them a try, or another try.

What can I say I've given them 3 chances and every time they got my order wrong if I want service this bad I might as well go to mcds in Nanuet they never get order right. David's is always packed but service sucks

Delicious everything bagel with cream cheese! Lots of varieties plus flagels and bialys. And they were quick too!

Been coming here for years. Food is great. Bagels are on par with what you get in the city. Staff are friendly. Probably the best coffee in the area. Only negative is the place gets packed during morning rush, so plan appropriately.

David's bagels has a new owner, and their food and service has improved DRASTICALLY! Don't listen to the reviews before 2021. The owner is incredibly nice, and the food is really good. Great iced coffee too!

I'm trying to give this place my business and they just refuse to take by being incompetent. Numerous order mistakes. One time it's putting ketchup on my sandwich when I didn't ask for it, the next time, giving me the wrong order all together. Today takes the cake., I was put on hold when I tried to call in an order that would have cost me anywhere between $50-$75. Fine. So I hear the message, instead of being waiting, I can text my order. They have the wrong number on their automated message. I wasn't waiting around. They can't need my business that bad if they continue to be lazy and not care. I've given them multiple opportunities to get better and they've failed. My money will go elsewhere.

Beware of the new owners. Charged my card more then what they said the total was. ! Also was given the wrong order numerous times. They are shady! Do yourself a favor and go up the block to Rockland Bakery you will never regret it! They lost a good customer!

I only go here because it's close fro my work and each time I go there's alway something that's just is not right. They overcompensate now by immediately yelling out before you actually make your whole way in with a big " hello", which is quite annoying. If you order a bagel your chances are they are old and hard and if they ask if you want it toasted it's a sign that it may very well be. They actually weight your deli meat for a sandwich which I feel makes a bad impression because it shows lack of judgment and lack of good customer relations. Besides the fact it's not a great taste due to the fact of no TLC. Yes when you put your TLC into it it's a while new ballgame! Today another problem was I asked for rye bread and asked if it was fresh, and my response was yes we just got it today! When I finally sat down to eat my sandwich it clearly was old; fell apart as I took each bit and was hard and so not fresh. My take on that most people probably don't ask for a sandwich on rye bread so they don't use as much and it stays until they run out. They are also not generous with putting butter or cream cheese on your bagel. If you can take another couple minutes and go down the road to Rockland Bakery you're sure to find a much better experience with definitely a much better sandwich with better service.

Unfortunately, I stopped here today for a dozen, over priced bagels. It was 8 AM. Perhaps, I am naive but I was expecting fresh bagels. Not so. Stale. Hard as a rock. I sent them to the Rangers to practice with them. I'm not sure when the bagels were prepared but definitely not this AM. Very disappointed. I do not recommend.

I've had food from here three different times, each time hoping they would improve. The bagels are unimpressive. The prepared foods all have a bad taste. The last straw was when I was charged $8 for a wrap with egg salad and lettuce. The wrap was tiny - how can you possible charge that much for a small wrap?! It had such a weird taste that I just threw it out. Also, this place is not clean! All of the equipment behind the counter looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Same with the refrigerated cases. When is the last time someone actually wiped down the inside of that case? Staff working behind the counter never wear hair nets OR gloves.

No stars because this place is awful. I asked for a small ice coffee and the man made up his own prices. He charged me $3.50 for a small ice coffee. -- When a large ice coffee at the Davids bagels in valley cottage is $3.13. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this awful establishment where they make up prices and rip you off. Davids bagels in valley cottage is sooooo much better.

I called David's bagels in west nyack near closing time and ordered bagels to go, thinking I would get whatever they might have left at the end of the day. The employee who picked up the phone and was so pleasant, quickly spoke to her boss and told me if I was willing to wait 15 minutes he would make me fresh bagels. Wow! Once I went in to pay, everyone was friendly and courteous. Thank you Davids!

Go here for lunch a lot since it's near my job. For some reason I am always charged different prices for the same sandwich I get every time. Besides that, a pretty good deli. They also have good flavored coffee. I really like the snickerdoodle iced coffee, but the sizes are pretty small. This picture is a medium. Staff is friendly and is in a good location!

The food is very good, and fresh. The chicken cutlets are delicious! Order the chicken cutlet with bacon, cheddar and Russian dressing on a hero and you will not be disappointed!!

Bagels are pretty good, really good service most of the times I have gone. Only complaint is the prices. I get the same thing every time, but always a different price. Some workers seem to charge a lot more than others. Get annoyed when they charge me more than usual.

I stopped in here today to buy a bagel sandwich, but after looking at the selection and quality of food in the cooler I changed my mind. Everything looked old, not fresh. I ended up choosing a muffin and iced coffee. Muffin was okay. My concern for the coffee was that they had 2 cartons of milk and 1 half-n-half just sitting out on the counter with no tops on them. How long have they been sitting out? All morning? They are opened and exposed!! Simply gross!! I will not return.

I ordered: sausage, egg, and cheese on an egg onion bagel and a ham and brie roll with veggie cream cheese. that and two tiny chips amounted to $15. they also forgot to give me a side of chicken salad that was complimentary with the tiny roll (they were out of coleslaw, potato salad, and pasta salad). this is just a swoop in place to get something light if you're starving- I wouldn't suggest grabbing just 'fresh' bagels and spreads. that's not possible. the egg onion bagel was older as was the roll and for these prices, the food was put into sparse amount. I'm happy they did have chips I like lol, but the online ordering is a pain as well. there is no pick up option and delivery is $20 minimum plus an extra $6 drive charge, minus tip. also, with what I had originally ordered online, I have no idea how any of it would arrive since in-store had two things out of everything I planned to request. heading to the bakery next time, their deli is amazing.

I've been frequenting this store for years, as I'm from the area and work nearby. I've just had my last meal from David's. I've never had a GREAT meal from this place, although I've had good (enough) bites in the past. I've had my orders prepared erroneously many a time, but this isn't a five star establishment so that is inevitable, at least periodically. Previously, my low point was ordering a bagel sandwich and finding human hair in not one, but both halves of the sandwich. Today, I've reached an even deeper nadir: I just ordered a bagel with tuna, cheese and lettuce, and paid $8.01. The quality, taste and ingredients of this sandwich don't even come close to being worth that exorbitant price. How could it?! Whilst Rockland County is an affluent enough area, such a disgraceful price is an insult. I will never return to this location, and urge the rest of you to find better/cheaper/tastier local alternatives. Rockland Bakery and Nyack Bagels come to mind.

This place is amazing the bagels and sandwiches are so fresh and delicious. The employees and the owner couldn't be nicer. The store is very clean highly recommend.

This David's is the WORST David's bagels in Rockland County. Their service is HORRIBLE and slow, their cream cheese sits in liquid, and their prices are more expensive than the other Davids. I honestly do not know how they are still in service. Please do yourself a favor and only go to the one in Valley Cottage. It's incredibly better.

Idk how this place stays open. The help isnt all that friendly. I don't want to say everyone, because some of them are very polite. But every time I get a bagel here, no matter what time of the day, it's hard as a rock. Inedible.

This guy has some nerve. Two bagels with tuna salad $20.. and the bagels were hard as a rock, he makes up the prices as he goes bc when asked about how much one was he hesitated to answer. Overpriced and stale food. Never again will I be coming here

I received a coupon in the mail for 16 bagels for the price of a dozen, so I decided to give this place a try. I went at noon, after breakfast but right around lunch. Unfortunately, their supplies were very limited, and they only had a few types of bagels left. While I understand they may not have as many bagels as they would during breakfast hours, I would think that they'd have a wider selection right at lunchtime. After I was done picking out my 16 bagels, they barely had any bagels left in the entire store (I actually purposely took fewer plain bagels than I intended, to avoid depleting their supply of plain bagels). As for the bagels themselves, they were unremarkable. The plain bagels had a very crisp outer crust, which I love, but the flavor was hit-and-miss. Some of the bagels barely had any flavor, and felt more like eating generic bread, rather than a true New York bagel. The whole wheat bagels were okay, but nothing special. I liked the rye bread bagel, though I don't have much of a point of comparison since I rarely ever get rye bagels elsewhere. The cinnamon raisin bagels were good, on the whole. The bagels at Rockland Bakery and Zimi's are better overall, and their selection is miles and miles better.

Their bagels are pretty good. They seem to make their bagels everyday, quite fresh. The only downside is, they don't know how to enable closed captions in their public television.

This place is just OK. Had an egg and cheese there and asked for salt and pepper. They UNLOADED their pepper container on my sandwich. The roll was crusty (not in the delicious way - the old way), and the cheese was cold. Drive 30 seconds down the road to get an egg and cheese at Rockland Bakery. It's better AND less expensive.

Sick puppy of the chain. Franchise owners can not even TRY to hide their preferential treatment for their regulars.They are easily befuddled or bewildered by new faces.

This is my go-to place for bagels whenever I am home in Rockland. I've been going here for years, and never had my order messed up. The staff is usually pretty nice and the line is never that long. Bagels are great quality, I think, way better than Rockland bakery.

Passed by here every day on my way to camp. Liked they had many spread choices but the bagels were stale.

Bagels keep getting smaller and smaller and don't seem so fresh. Coffee used to be great. Now it's so bad it makes me sick to my stomach. Not impressed

So when you are from NY, you are automatically a bit of a bagel snob. If you are from Rockland, LI, Westchester, or NYC itself, you are even MORE of a bagel snob. I've been in the NY area pretty much my entire life, and I think I'm a pretty good judge of what makes a good bagel, and what doesn't. This place is good - not great, but definitely good. They are a chain I believe, but only locally. They have a variety of bagels - I've had plain, everything, seasame, and poppy. All of which are worth trying. The cream cheese variety is great - and is quite frankly why I go here. I go here for the tofu based cream cheese that they carry - which makes eating a bagel as a lactard easier on the tummy. They do carry baked goods which I've never tried - I do enjoy their coffee from time to time, and occassionaly have a semi-passable hot chocolate. If you are around West Nyack, and want a good bagel, stop by. I wouldn't drive here from out of town to eat.

Probably the last time I will ever go here, a simple order and messed up. I only ordered a plain bagel with butter toasted. How I got a bagel with cream cheese is beyond me. I understand if it's busy but if I'm the only one in the store, there is no reason. Also I've come here many times before and order the same thing and the price is never the same.

DO NOT GO, SKIP THE TRIP!!!!! Worst business ever!!! Owner is the cheapest person and only uses poor quality food. I ordered five bagels, cookies and drinks. When I was only given a total of three napkins, I asked for more napkins. To my surprise, I was asked to pay $.25 more for each napkin I needed!!! Never in my life had I been so appalled that I had to ask the woman twice to make sure I heard right. I couldn't believe the nerve of the owner to ask such a thing! Is his business doing that bad that he needs to ask for money for napkins?! Must not have a lot of customers :( In addition, while in his bagel shop, i witnessed the employees hair dip into the tuna fish. None of his employees wear hair nets, which is unsanitary and downright disgusting. My guess is he is too cheap to supply hair nets.

This place is a joke. Waited in line for 20 minutes this morning to grab a couple of breakfast sandwiches only because it was after 11 and rockland bakerys grill was closed. People came in after me and kept getting served because they knew the staff i guess. stopped going here a while back because it is so expensive and after this experience will never be back
