DAVINCI Hotel and Suites

The black and white decor is definitely out there, but we loved everything about this hotel. It was a very comfortable King bed with plenty of soft white duvet and custom pillows that you could order from the laundry. I have trouble sleeping on big foam pillows and the down one they provided was perfect. The bed may have been two giant twins pushed together (as a negative review suggested), but it didn't feel like it and we slept very well. Bathroom was spacious with both bathtub and shower. Room service was prompt and food was delicious. ||The breakfast included with the room rate was next level with made-to-order eggs and an assortment of all sorts of hot and cold dishes. They even prepared a special sauteed mushroom accompaniment for me. Espresso drinks made to order as well. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.||The adjoining mall and Mandela Square was a bonus.

Truly enjoyed our stay! The 2 BR apt was very comfortable for our group of 4. The beds were very comfortable and having a kitchen was very convenient. I enjoyed using the deep soaking tub and the shower was very pleasant! The staff accommodated our request for a roll out bed for our daughter which was helpful since she shared a room with her grandmother but they only have king rooms. The restaurant on site and bar area had a great variety of meals with very good desserts and wine selections. The hotel is also directly connected to the Sandton Mall which was very convenient when exploring new places to eat or spending the evenings shopping. I wish we had time to make spa appointments but we had an action packed itinerary. I would highly recommend the Davinci and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

I have been a regular guest at the Da Vinci Hotel for the last ten years. This hotel is ideally located in Sandton at Mandela Square with direct and secure access to the Sandton Mall. The staff are amazing and very professional and extremely friendly. The rooms, whatever their category, are superbly decorated, luxurious and fully equipped with everything you need (hairdryer, iron, bathrobe etc...). Breakfast and meals are excellent and very copious. I would also recommend the SPA where the treatments are of the highest quality. The Da Vinci Hotel is my home in Joburg because everything is done there to make me feel at home. A big thank you to Talita at Guest Relations and Gilbert at the Desk for their attention to me and their great professionalism.

I recently visited this venue for an Easter High Tea and an Easter hunt, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the ambience to the service and the food, everything was top-tier. The chef truly outdid himself, curating a spectacular buffet-style high tea with an array of delicious treats. The spread included a wonderful selection of savory bites—mini pies, open sandwiches, fresh rolls, samoosas, and spring rolls. And the sweet treats? Pure decadence! Think red velvet cake, rich chocolate cake, and heavenly crème brûlée. Every bite was a delight. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

From the moment my wife and I arrived at Da Vinci Hotel, we were treated like royalty. Every touchpoint of our stay was flawless – from the warm and professional welcome at the front desk to the heartfelt farewell at departure.||The entire team was simply outstanding. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate, the drivers were courteous and helpful, and even the gentleman who cared for our shoes did so with dedication and pride. Breakfast at Maximillien restaurant was a true pleasure thanks to the gracious and attentive hostesses, waiters, and waitresses, who made each meal memorable and specially on the birthday of my wife.||A heartfelt thank you to the incredible Executive Chef Atma, who leads the kitchen brigade with passion and excellence – every dish was a culinary delight and testament to his talent.||We are equally grateful to the Spa team for a truly rejuvenating experience. Refilwe at the reception welcomed us with warmth, and our therapists, Ntombi and Thembi, were outstanding – professional, caring, and skilled.||Last but certainly not least, our sincere thanks to the management team, brilliantly led by General Manager Trilok, whose leadership is evident in the seamless, heartfelt service offered throughout the hotel.||To the entire Da Vinci team – thank you for making our stay perfect in every way. If I have to stay in Sandton for business I always ask for The Davinci hotel. It is conveniently joined to the Sandton Mall and Nelson Mandela Square, great for a quick bit of shopping if you have time. ||I always treat myself to a luxury bath in their famous comfortable tubs, just one during my stay to save water of course! Then the ability to Chromecast my Netflix from phone to the room TV is such a bonus, no more squinting on my little mobile phone. ||I also think the hotel is perfectly situated a 2 min complimentary shuttle ride from the Gautrain station and the staff are always helpful and able to assist with getting you to or picking you up from the station. The breakfasts that are included can fill you up for the whole day and if you have time the gym is always open to work it off.

Really well positioned hotel/apartment with fairly clean rooms. The service however needs to improve. They dont provide more than 2 bottles of water per person/per room (still confused by the explanation provided) and once water/towels are replenished/placed in the morning, they dont replace in the event of an emergency, unless at an added cost. This was highly disappointing.
