Davis-Monthan AFB - Visitors Center

I don't know how they do it, but they can get you a visitor's pass in less than 15 min. I wish Randolph AFB would follow Davis-Monthan's lead because it takes them forever for visitor's passes and longer for an actual ID card.

Be prepared for a long wait. Make sure you have registration and insurance in addition to your ID. I only gave 3 stars because they did not issue a pass and told me to just show my ID at the gate. That was not appropriate or secure at all. What i wanted was a permanent pass for my car, not a day pass. The Airman working the window on Friday afternoon needs more supervised training in customer service and procedure.

Excellent service — clear, direct, and efficient. Just a heads-up: if your VA disability rating is below 100%, you’re allowed base access, but you cannot sponsor others. Sponsorship privileges are only granted to veterans with a 100% service-connected disability rating.

The Davis-Monthan AFB Visitor Center crew deserves a round of applause (and maybe a coffee or two)! Everyone I interacted with was polite, professional, and super helpful—especially when you’re navigating base access rules for the first time. Heads up if you're visiting: 🚗 Bring your vehicle registration and proof of insurance—yes, they do check. 🪪 Your driver’s license needs the little gold star (the REAL ID travel star). If yours doesn’t have it, don’t wait—get it updated before showing up. Trust me, it’ll save you time and headaches. 🕒 Also, give yourself a little cushion on time. They're efficient, but if it's your first visit, you’ll want that extra 10-15 minutes just in case. The building is easy to find, well-marked, and there’s usually someone right there to point you in the right direction. Whether you're a contractor, guest, or just coming in for a one-day visit, they make sure you're taken care of without the stress. Overall, an A+ experience from a team that knows how to keep the front gate running like a well-oiled machine—with a smile. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Anywhere my son is, is 5 🌟 The base was very nice and clean. The base housing was pretty nice too.

This is where you have to stop to get guest pass for people who are not in the military or a dependent. Our men & women in uniform are always very professional & kind. You are in & out quickly & get everything you need. I respect & honor our troops who sacrifice their lives for our freedom. I want to take an opportunity to salute & thank them all. God bless every one of you for your selflessness in service for all Americans.

Pictures are not allowed. the first thing you see is poorly handwritten sign on door. What happened to possibly typing and posting. Use the door at the other end, poor lights inside what's this all about. Do not use roping everywhere, How about close the windows and remove roping very unprofessional. Finally, you arrive at the other side more ropes and more handwritten sign bathroom out of order, it's been out if order since two months ago came here. One person working, I'm not sure as a law enforcement person. The military has really changed in not some good ways. My son is 5'5 250 lbs, and he is a large person. This person had to come out to fix the camera shorter by at least a couple of inches. My son said to me that when he went back to our car, he is bigger than I am. I didn't want to comment, but I did say the military must not have what they used to call the fat boy program. I always hated those words. Just don't feel DMAFB is putting the best foot forward with someone, so heavy. No, thank you, no. Have a nice day when leaving with forms. It was made up by friendly and professional looking airmen at the front gate.

I had to go and get a base access ID card. The gentleman who assisted me was so kind. He worked efficiently, and I was out of there in like 10 minutes.
