Had an awesome brunch here this morning! Delicious breakfast burrito, pancakes and fruit side. Lovely service and great sized portions. Wouldn’t have known it was there if we hadn’t checked google. Thanks for having us!

lisa kane

Google
We had breakfast here and it was so good! There were so many choices on the menu, and all sounded so good that it was hard to choose. My latte was one of the best I have had. They roast their own coffee as well. Fun, chill vibe. Casual and laid back with great service. I would be here all the time if I lived in the area. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with a great variety of choices on their menu.

Google
Parking is hard to get, construction doesn’t help finding this location but it is worth it although pricey. The only negative thing I have for this place is the water. It tastes like it’s coming straight out of the hose from outside. Not even tap water. Aside from that, the food and latte coffee were delicious! The special, chicken chilaquiles were surprisingly good! Spicy but tasted good! The single pancakes also great! The Madagascar vanilla latte perfect thanks to the server/cashier who made sure he made it perfect after seeing I was craving one! The straws are cheaply made.

Google
Excellent California style breakfast spot tucked away on State Street. Highlights are the friendly staff, the fast service, and customizable “build your hash” breakfast meals. Service is fast and friendly here because you order at the counter. Once ordered, you can sit down and wait for your food and enjoy paid for but unlimited coffee and enjoy the views. We ate quickly and everyone was friendly. The food is also excellent here. The customizable hash and egg plates are really good and come with a small spring mix salad and toast! They have everything from breakfast burritos to skillets and healthy options. I trust every dish here is delicious. I highly recommend the hash plates! I’d highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and or lunch. It’s pricey like most things in Santa Barbara but worth it!

Google
Visiting from out of town and wanted a good solid breakfast. Saw this place on the way to the gym and came back afterward. If you’re visiting Santa Barbara and want a great breakfast, this is the place. The Make your own scramble is awesome with fresh vegetables and the homemade pancakes are phenomenal. Will definitely come back!!

Google
Overall not a bad experience but may not return. Read enough reviews about DP & you will get a sense it's an average tasting experience, with great service , and fairly expensive cost given the food you will receive. Service was great. attentive , and food came out promptly.

Google
Great breakfast/brunch spot. Nice strong coffee. Ordered the chorizo hash special. I have a tendency to make modifications to things like this, but I ordered it as-is. Every ingredient was so fresh and delicious. I felt like the portion was generous for the higher price tag (welcome to Santa Barbara). The only piece that was average was the side of black beans - not bad, just nothing amazing. Will definitely be back!!

Google
Really great! I love how they mark your tables with emoji vs numbers. Nice little touch. I had the hash which was great. Wry flavorful and filling. My wife had the avocado toast. I don’t know what kind of wheat bread they use but very good and hearty. Would come back for sure.

Yelp
This is a great place for a Sunday morning breakfast! I love that the plates are customizable, the staff and cooks are super sweet and accommodating to dietary restrictions. Their coffee is excellent as well, I got their Madagascar vanilla latte and it's by far one of the best vanilla lattes I've had I'm town!

Yelp
I think the cashier was a little tired or moody because of the breakfast rush so ordering was a little awkward but she still held through. The ambiance and energy was pretty chill, with nice indoor and outdoor seating next to a busy sidewalk and street. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, giving all customers comfortable seating choices. The food was a solid 8/10 and large in portions (I had to give the toast to my brother at the end). However, it did take around 20-30 minutes for the food to arrive, which the hostess/cashier from before apologized for. Well-run restaurant, just busy since it was Saturday morning!

Zsanae K.

Yelp
The side of salsa they serve with your meal is delish!! I like that they have a breakfast bowl that you can customize. More places should do that. My latte and breakfast bowl was really great. They have a veggie sausage option and most place don't. the side of salad was a nice touch. it was fresh and bright green. ( not yellow) :) My boyfriend enjoyed his omelette. He did mention it was on the cold side. There was loud construction going on right next to the restaurant. That's obviously not their fault. It did make it less relaxing.

Leslie M.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the restaurant is hard to find because there is construction in front of the restaurant. The concept is an order at the counter, sit down environment. I ordered the Madagascar Vanilla Bean Latte with oat milk and it was so good. I highly recommend it. For food, we got the gluten free pancakes and we built our own hash: sweet potato, veggie sausage, spinach, and an over medium egg. The pancakes were meh, but the hash was delicious. I enjoyed it.

Kevin L.

Yelp
First impression. The guy taking our order looks like Jimmy Fallon and he makes a great cafe latte. This place was two blocks from our hotel on State Street and has good inside and outside seating. The fried chicken eggs Benedict on avocado toast was excellent and the chicken chilaquiles were the second best (by a razor sharp margin) that I have ever had. Yes the place is expensive, but the portion sizes are above average and the food is great.

Alonso R.

Yelp
Honestly, I had a terrible experience the day I came, the service was extremely bad and almost all tables were dirty. The breakfast burrito is just one big tortilla FILLED with a LOT of beans and maybe one scrambled egg but it had NO SEASONING, it was a bad food experience. Don't order the breakfast burrito, you'll be disappointed. They should've called it BEAN BURRITO and for almost 17 dls... And maybe the day I came they had no staff but the place was dirty, the tables were filled with plates and the cushions had spots on them. Maybe a power wash every month is necessary.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Dawn Patrol, perched right on bustling State Street in Santa Barbara, is a cozy haven for locals and visitors alike. The moment you step inside, the salty breeze and surf vibes envelop you. Wooden tables, surfboards, and fins on the walls, create an authentic beach shack feel. Seating is limited, so grab a spot early if it's busy. I ventured into uncharted territory and ordered the Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict--a quirky choice that turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The crispy chicken paired with hollandaise sauce was a flavor explosion. Doubts? Yes. Regrets? None. The fresh-squeezed orange juice is tasty and fresh, you can watch them make it. And the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte? Creamy, comforting, and just the right amount of indulgence. The self-serve water station is a thoughtful touch, but it doesn't taste that great. Stick to the coffee; it's the real star here. Yes, it's a tad pricey, but hey, this is Santa Barbara. State Street demands a premium, and the experience is worth it. I'll stop in again the next time I'm in the area. :)

Diego G.

Yelp
I love when new business offers excellent quality food and great environment. I had a great time and service !!! I really recommend this place and when I'm back to Santa Barbara I will return !!!

Stephanie F.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday around 10 AM starving and looking for a good meal - I was definitely satisfied! My boyfriend had the French toast and enjoyed all the fruit included. I had the chicken chilaquiles which I would have expected to have a verde sauce but was roja instead. Perfectly balanced-everything was prepared to perfection and it was easy to enjoy a little piece of everything in each bite.

Kristina M.

Yelp
$6 for a drip coffee? Ehhh, kinda lame even if there's free refills. A little pricey for the quality, hence 4 stars, but I thought the food was good. Date and I both had the fried chicken eggs benedict special. According to my date, "solid first bite, no complaints". The chicken stayed crispy even with the hollandaise and egg yolk dripping down it and the bread and avocado didn't get soggy at all. I also liked that the bread was thick, like it was meant for French toast. I added a bit of hot sauce to mine because I like the kick, but overall, very solid eggs benedict. They seemed a bit understaffed for Sunday brunch at 9:30am, but staff was still very friendly and polite. They also played great music and have options for both indoor and outdoor seating. I prefer the outdoor patio, since you get that nice ocean breeze and can people watch.

Deborah R.

Yelp
Excellent spot for over the top casual breakfast. Had fried chicken eggs Benedict and Huevos rancheros. Both were delicious!

Frank C.

Yelp
The staff and the food was good. The prices seemed a little on the high side. But that's tourist area in Santa Barbara.

Steven N.

Yelp
Every time I come here chrissy is so attentive. Chef Rogelio is always coming through everything cooked to perfection.10/10 would recommended.

Courtney H.

Yelp
I took Marisa's Heated Flow and Soul Flow at Dawn Patrol this last Sunday. I had taken her classes in another studio locally but that studio went out of business and I had missed my Sunday Fundays with her and the community that had been created on those Sundays and friendships that being made over the years. I was so happy to see some familiar faces at Dawn Patrol and some new ones as well, when I took her classes this last Sunday. Her classes are magical and are so much more than just creative yoga flows with fun playlists because she brings thought provoking messages and metaphors. For example last week there was a message of unity and the interconnectivity that yoga provides and encourages and how we are all made of stardust and therefore all part of the same. Maybe it is one of those things, where you have to be there to feel just how magical her classes can be, so I would encourage everyone to get down to Dawn Patrol and feel the magic and connect with other star dusters. To new and old friends at Dawn Patrol Yoga.

Leanne M.

Yelp
Delicious, delicious Stopped in for a quick lunch. The avocado toast was excellent. The pickled onion was amazing. We substituted sweet potatoes for the salad in one. They were so good.

Aspen M.

Yelp
This place is overpriced for what you get. My single gluten free pancake for $18.95 was inedible. It tasted like dirt and the syrup wasn't real. It was some corn syrup flavored "maple syrup." My son and husband had the fratatta which they enjoyed. Go elsewhere.

Jack L.

Yelp
The lady and I were looking for a brunch place to hardy ourselves up before a nice wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley. We came across Dawn Patrol, which was a traditional brunch spot with lots of seating and a beachy vibe in the downtown district on Santa Barbara, which led to a nice ambiance as a whole. You order up at the front, and they serve it to you. Staff was all very friendly and it was on the slower side when we went. Food was great, and the portions were good for the price. What else can you ask for in a brunch spot? This place surely serves its purpose in the downtown Santa Barbara downtown district, so if you are in need of a solid brunch, this is the place to be.

Kate M.

Yelp
i'm a local and i never knew this spot existed it's right by the freeway underpass near the rock gym I got the recommended build a hash and a chai latte the build a hash was the perfect breakfast and the chai latte was so refreshing it was honestly worth every penny would recommend/will be returning

Darya B.

Yelp
Super Yummy breakfasts and brunches ! Especially the hashesAnd love the Madagascar French vanilla latte!

Yelp
I would like to start this by saying the food was good, a 3.5-4 star rating. Everything else (if possible a zero star rating.) If you are the manager of this establishment please read this. It is not a rant, more just a bit of information. We stopped in yesterday (Sunday) typically a busy day for breakfast/ brunch spots. First note- it is a fast casual experience... order in the front, receive your drinks and number then seat yourself. This is becoming a popular business model. A key to making this work is having someone in the front who can communicate well and be the face of your business. This was a big fail. the gentleman in the front may have been having a bad day but when we requested to have a change on a menu item (breakfast burrito- egg, bacon, cheese only). He got extremely confused... I requested a breakfast burrito add sausage. Then we also ordered an orange juice and an apple juice. The bill was 80$ after an 18% tip. For two people at a fast casual stop! (I'm pretty sure I was overcharged but I didn't want to confuse him anymore) Once we went to sit, I noticed that all of the empty tables (about 5-6) were not bussed. How are people supposed to seat themselves if staff can't keep the seating clean and ready. I proceeded to buss them myself because at this point there were two other groups looking for an area to sit. I used a towel from their clean cup staging area and drinking water to clean the tables near me. At this point I started to get frustrated in my efforts to just sit down. We ended up sitting outside because we didn't want to sit next to the booth that was piled with dishes. (Since we walked in). Once outside the rest of my time was filled with observations of frustration. As time goes on, the tables still are not getting bussed, the line to order is getting longer. As you can already assume... no one is able to find a seat, or if they do- it's stacked with dirty dishes... all the while- if a runner comes out with food, he returns empty handed. Passing all of these tables that need to be cleaned. This goes on for 15-20 minutes. Finally I see a buzzer come out with his black tote. HE ONLY CLEARED OFF ONE TABLE! Then disappeared again. The host at the front then came out to wipe the tables, the most pathetic attempt at cleaning I've seen. Then he went to a table that needed cleaned that had two people sitting at it. He said nothing to them then proceeded to wipe all of the crumbs (I'm assuming unintentionally) onto the woman's lap... I was blown away. It has now been about 45 minutes and we haven't seen our food. I went in to use the restroom and saw easily 8-10 plates at the window that needed to be ran.... We got our food at about an hour in... the food was good and they got our order with add one and change's correct. The kitchen was performing but everyone else needs to have some coaching. By the time we left- the booth that had all of the dishes on it when we arrived.... STILL HADN'T BEEN TOUCHED...

Yelp
The breakfast here is pretty delicious. It's a different style restaurant, you have to order at the front, pay and then you get your food. The service is pretty good, the server checked on us and the food came in a timely manner. There is no parking so you will have to search for street parking. The bathrooms were okay. I ordered the waffle plate and it was pretty delicious and fresh. My mom ordered the chorizo plate and it was very flavorful.

Lejla I.

Yelp
The food was good, and it's a really cute place to have brunch. Loved the decorations and the vibe of the place. It's close to the beach area too.

Alex M.

Yelp
(Classic Waffle: 85% | B) - This classic waffle emphasizes the classic part of the dish.. just a well made waffle with fruit, cream, and syrup. This dish is well made, but there is also room for improvement in terms of elevating the dish and presentation by adding some interesting flavors like lemon and stacking the fruit more neatly. (Hot Chocolate: 65% | D) - This is a foamy version of a hot chocolate. Unfortunately, the foam makes up too much of the drink such that there is nothing to drink. Additionally, what is left to drink is bland and over diluted with milk. (Overall: 78% | C) - On the bright side, the atmosphere is very relaxing for a nice morning breakfast and the servers are kind and attentive.

Brandon V.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Loved the "hash" dish I ordered. Pepper-onion mix in it was grilled to perfection. Eggs over medium prepared perfectly. Potatoes crispy and soft in the middle. A+

Lisa D.

Yelp
Brunch here is fantastic and very filling with generous sized portions. We came here on our first trip to Santa Barbara a few years ago and then came when in town again recently. Very friendly and attentive staff. Outdoor seating is great and it was surprisingly not too packed. Location is great and not too far from the water; perfect for a stroll after eating.

Martin K.

Yelp
We came in around 10:30am on a Sunday. It wasn't too packed with many available tables. Everything was very slow from the start. Staff couldn't take orders efficiently at the register. Once our orders were placed it was about 25 minutes until the food arrived (breakfast burrito and French toast). Drinks (coffee and mimosas) didn't arrive until after the food, 35 minutes after placing our order. Food and drinks were underwhelming after the long wait. The "choose your table sign" system is setting the staff here up for failure. They were completely scrambled by what was a very manageable crowd. Wouldn't come back.

Victoria A.

Yelp
Honestly everything was so flavorful. salsas were great. tortillas cooked perfectly. Cute little order & sit down place for brunch. Mimosas were tasty. I would deff come back again. Service was great.

Mireya S.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I had one of their specials Chilaquiles, the red sauce was flavorful. The chicken, tortillas, cheese and extra salsa were all on point. We also ordered the 3-egg white frita and it tasted good. The avocado was rolled in sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds. Everything was delicious

Fiona Y.

Yelp
Enjoyed trying out this small business, the food is really good, just expect to pay a little more here. Chorizo Hash Special--super filling, black beans cooked to my liking not too mushy and enough texture to see the beans. The combination of creamy and savory were achieved with avocados, beans, and savory chorizo hash all into a little tortilla topped with their salsa was delish! I'd opt of the cheese next time though, a bit salty for my taste esp with the chorizo. Chicken & Waffles-- chicken not dry, batter was crispy and flavorful. The side of maple syrup accompanying it came with chunks of apple that were soaked with subtle sweetness. Although I wished it came with 2-3 more waffles since it was almost a $20 a plate. The Eggs Benedict-- came with a thick wheat grain toast, slab of ham, two eggs, roasted potatoes (bombbb), and a side salad. It was my first time not having an English McMuffin with my eggs Benedict, so that was new. The eggs itself were alright, not really the star. However, the potatoes amazing smokey, crispy on the outside, soft inside.

Carla K.

Yelp
Great quality food! We drove out to SB for the day and we're excited to find this place. It's a hidden gem! From the amazing hot coffee to the entrees, one was more delicious than the next. I would highly, highly recommend the French toast. And I'm so glad we ordered it because when we read Hawaiian bread I was scared it would be too sweet. But it's probably one of the best French toasts I've had in a long time. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and attentive. I appreciate them. And can't wait to visit again soon! My family and I had a great start to our day. Ty

Erin G.

Yelp
So I was tasked with organizing a bachelorette party in Santa Barbara while living very far from Santa Barbara--when looking online, Dawn Patrol was the first and best rated place for brunch, so I had to add it to our itinerary! Glad that it showed up because the people working were amazing, the food was good, and it had all the options that a group of 12 women needed to make sure everyone was satisfied! I will say, it is right around the underpass of a street, which is also seeing some construction (in May 2022), so it was a bit weird to find. But really, the location is great right in the heart of Santa Barbara downtown. It is really an ideal location for anything that you want to do in Santa Barbara afterwords--a few blocks from some antique stores, not far from wineries or bars, etc! The place itself is a first-come first seat place, so they do not take reservations! I asked all the women to get to the brunch place by 10:15 am, which was a bit overkill since there didn't end up being a lack of seating. That is not to say that the place wasn't busy, it was, but they have a lot of seating and through their quick service, they get people in and out quickly. We seated 12 ladies at a corner booth and an extra booth right next to it--but there was plenty of outdoor seating, just not enough for such a large group to be at one table! For food and drink, they had a wide array of options, from breakfast burritos, hashes, egg plates, and even some lunch sandwiches. I got a breakfast burrito and they cooked the egg to your liking, which was great! The burrito was huge, and pretty good--but wasn't my most favorite burrito ever. It also came with a few salsas, so that helped! They had plenty of hot sauces on the table to complement your food. They came around frequently to check on if people needed more coffee, and water is self-serve, but for our larger group, they came over with glass bottles to make things easier for us. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better start to the day that I had planned for visiting wine tasting rooms--the food was hearty to get us ready for the day and the options made it so that everyone could be happy with their choices. Thanks, Dawn Patrol, for a great brunch!!

Jerry C.

Yelp
I Love this place. The food has been consistently good and they have an amazing crew! The vibe is cool too!

Michael O.

Yelp
Very good eggs Benedict and variations, among other breakfast standards, but the experience was hampered by the high prices, the line to order, and the location next to a building under construction and overlooking the racing traffic.

Adrienna Y.

Yelp
Like many others have shared in their reviews, I also think the food is a little overvalued. I'm all for spending a little extra for an amazing experience, but the dishes served at Dawn Patrol fell a little short of our expectations. Of all the items we tried, the chorizo hash special was probably the tastiest. The hash, a combination of chorizo, potato, onions and peppers, was somewhat sweet and smoky. The fire-roasted salsa was also a nice touch. The portion size was only good for a single person though. The eggs benedict and the chicken and waffles came as advertised, but weren't anything to write home about.

Oliver F.

Yelp
Had the eggs Benedict with fried chicken. Eggs were cooked to perfection but the fried chicken was the worst. All breading that's hard as a rock and what little chicken there was very dry. DONT GET THE CHICKEN!

Doug D.

Yelp
Had breakfast here with some friends that had been here before and really enjoyed the food. Had the chorizo hash and it was excellent! Service was good and the ambience was suffer like and funky. I would highly recommend as a casual type of breakfast.

Leslie U.

Yelp
The food presentation was good however I don't feel I got my money's worth for the amount of food served. I ordered the eggs benedict and it came with 6 pieces of potato with a little sprinkle of a leaf salad. The gentleman running the food was also tending to making coffee drinks and bussing tables. The young woman at the counter should have pitched in to help because it clearly was alot for him to handle. The order of chilaquiles we got we asked for scrambled eggs and got over easy instead. We had already waited to get our food so long so we ate it anyway. The restrooms were a whole another mess I wont get into. Would not be back.

Edward S.

Yelp
This place truly is a hidden gem, tucked off a small walkway off State St. by the underpass. If your looking for a delicious breakfast this place is for you. With homemade turkey sausage and the option to create your own breakfast hash, this place will fulfill your tastebuds, no matter how large or small you're palate may be. I highly recommend a Dawn Patrol if you are a local or in town visiting. It's a bit pricy but worth the few extra bucks!

Betty H.

Yelp
I don't really get this place. Saw the good reviews and came here. Parking was free in a lot nearby. We sat outside and the view was good. Staff was nice. The food was not so good. Really small portions and very overpriced. Got the sausages, eggs, toast, and potatoes. The sausages were too salty and so small. The toast was normal. The only good thing was the eggs with pepper. That tasted pretty good. The flavoring was good. The breakfast burrito was super small. Yea, we won't return. I rather get fast food than this.

Mecca B.

Yelp
Our group of 6 needed a breakfast spot at 8am that can take the size of our party. We found Dawn Patrol by walking by the street sign right before we walked to the underpass. We stopped and we're elated to see that they serve espresso and oat milk. So we stopped, ordered at the front and the gentleman delivered our drinks and food to the table. Wow... the make your own hash and the vanilla cappuccino that o ordered hit the spot. Plus, they make their own freshly squeezed orange juice. This is a spot that will fill the tummies or meat and non-meat eaters.

Ron W.

Yelp
Yelped breakfast places and this one won the pick. There is a two step process, bring a friend or clothing to leave on the table to claim your space, prior to ordering. I ordered the build own hash,$24 really filling.i went with the Sweet potato base, the potatoes were fork tender and the veggies was cooked well with crisp not soggy. I loved the sage sausage. Had the Hollandaise sauce topper which married the meal very well. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict, he said was awesome and very good! Was it pricey for breakfast, yes. Was there quality, yes. Help a small business vs chain, yes. Prefer to pay less, hell yeah! So come to splurge. The nice thing is they give refills on cold brew coffee, usually most places do only hot or iced coffee. Parking is challenging in SB. Clean facility, staff are friendly

Iam R.

Yelp
Friendly service, tasty food. Overall, a good place to visit for a filling breakfast.

Chris D.

Yelp
Some will say this is a lengthy review... It's definitely worth your time... I was recommended this place as a breakfast spot to try by someone that I knew. My friend accompanied me to this restaurant on a Monday It wasn't busy Their is outside seating with a view of lower state street. You get to see the many minds of tourists passing by People watching they call it. Before I talk about the food The customer service at this place is theeee best Encountered in Santa Barbara Julio was the guy that helped my friend and I He asked if we were familiar with the menu And despite a few other people being behind me in line He gave the impression It was all about me Even when I ordered pancakes as a side He suggested a way "the sweet choice of my breakfast could be enhanced " in a curious, fun sort of way.. I went with his suggestion. "Waffles with banana/ strawberry and syrup... I'm not sure if they were gluten free He did talk to me about them I just said yes.. The chorizo hash special Was my main part of my breakfast Lightly seasoned It was made where the impact of all flavors would survive Not what I would say typical chorizo flavor Which to me is classified as more salty In comparison to this dish I tried The texture was similar to southern "hash" Experienced with egg and onions, peppers and cheese Packaged in a nice medley I believe the hash would work well with all populations Maybe those wanting more salt would simply have to add More salt What they gave was just enough to avoid a stomach ache Some places give a lot more... Unfortunately I have portion control issues Likely to eat everything So what they did was good I tasted their pancakes too I detected a little cinnamon and perhaps a tiny bit of something else. The waffle had classic waffle flavor I would have preferred crusty edges instead of soft spongy edges Nonetheless the flavor complimented the banana and strawberry perfectly.. I looked at how much syrup they gave And thought "I'm going to need much more than that.." I was wrong Everything at this restaurant was just enough Even when my friend and I were done They were asking what else could they do to make the last moments good. I mean every staff member had really good customer service... They made small talk where I was from and you know.. The usual... But they did it with a sparkle of care in their eyes I will be going back with my brother And anyone that comes to visit me here in Santa Barbara

Tony B.

Yelp
Outstanding! Short walk from the train station. Excellent food and service. Yummy. We'll be back!

Lea T.

Yelp
The gluten-free pancakes were very disappointing, lacking flavor, and even the syrup fell short in taste. The breakfast burrito, while decent, didn't stand out as anything special.

Allison M.

Yelp
Chorizo Hash is the WAY TO GO. It was delicious. Sadly the picture I saw on here made me think it was much bigger. Expensive food but Friendly staff. Most of the other food wasn't as great as I wanted it to be. Served with barely any honey butter- needs more. Also the syrup was the cheap gross kind that ruined it. Nice spot with a great patio on Lower State Street.

Natasha W.

Yelp
Used to love coming here when I was town, but after today's visit, I'm never coming again! Ordered the Patrol Combo and a coffee, which never came and we had to ask for after we got our food. My bacon was so burnt it was like eating crispy cardboard. Potatoes were also burnt and unseasoned and my toast had no butter, nor was there any butter or jelly to be found, so had to eat it plain. We also had to ask for ketchup and hot sauce because there wasn't any on the tables (not that it helped punch up my meal at all. I seriously wouldn't have fed it to a dog, it was that bad. Only the eggs were edible.) There was only cup for water, which my husband and I had to share. Angry busboy just kept loudly dropping or clanging silverware the entire time and broke a plate in between arguing with customers about their order getting messed up or their bill being wrong. Just fail from start to finish. Terrible way to start a morning.

Janice M.

Yelp
$$$ Before my review of the food, I just want to say that this should really be a $$$ spot. Considering it's a cafe/diner style restaurant, I did not expect to spend $100 on 3 people for breakfast. That being said, the food was very good. We ordered a classic combo with eggs, potatoes & sausage. Everything had lots of flavor, especially the sausage. The luau French toast was yummy and fluffy because they make it with Hawaiian bread. The last menu item was their chorizo hash, which was delicious but the salsa didn't have much of a kick to it. While I do think the food was great, there are other breakfast spots in Santa Barbara for a better price and just as good value food.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Our group grabbed some food here before going to the train station (about a 5 minute walk). They had both indoor and outdoor seating. They had a wide variety of food as well. I got the build a hash plate where you can customized what you get. It was good but I could have done without the salad for a breakfast people. The others in my group got the burritos which were large and very filling. Reason for 4 stars is because this restaurant was priced high for what you get. My build a hash and coffee was around $25.
