Me and my partner had a really special time on this island. The woodfired pizza I have to say is some of the best I've had. We had an absolutely beautiful suite. The Management really made us feel cared for. Eric the barman made a mean margarita. And the multi talented lady who did the guided meditation in the underground part of the aquarium, had the perfect soothing voice guiding us in an incredible space. Thanks for making our trip very special guys

Deluxe ocean terrace king was a great room for couple. Beautiful pools but shame they are not heated during cooler months. Staff very friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Emma who looked after us for 2 nights at Salti! Good buffet breakfast included. Living reef adds to experience and easy 30 min ferry ride from Airlie

We did the Daydream Island day trip from Airlie Beach package. |We took the ferry at 10 and were on the island by 10:30. The check in staff at reception were helpful and explained our options for the day. |We did the rainforest walk which was interesting but in places probably needs some track maintenance. |The living reef was stunning and a great way to see some of the local wildlife. |We had our lunch at Salti Restaurant which was brilliant and the staff there were lovely. |After lunch I had a snorkel at the beach and saw lots of fish even though the water visibility wasn’t great. |Then we both relaxed around the pool until we left at 5. |We really enjoyed our day on the island. There are places that are looking a little tired and in need of maintenance but the staff are great and the island is a really pleasant place to spend the day.

If you're looking for the perfect island escape with a friendly, laid-back vibe and something for everyone, Daydream Island Resort is a top pick! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an easygoing atmosphere that immediately put us in holiday mode. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to offer suggestions or a helping hand, making the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. The resort itself is absolutely stunning — surrounded by turquoise waters, lush greenery, and picture-perfect views at every turn. The recently refurbished rooms are modern, clean, and super comfortable, many offering breathtaking ocean views. What really stood out was the range of activities for all ages. Whether you're travelling with kids, teens, or just adults, there's never a dull moment. The Living Reef — a huge coral lagoon that wraps around the resort — is a must-see and offers hands-on marine experiences for curious minds. There’s also snorkelling, paddleboarding, outdoor movies, nature walks, a great pool area, and even a kids’ club to keep the little ones entertained while adults unwind. Dining options were great, with a nice mix of casual and more upscale choices — fresh seafood and tropical cocktails were definitely a highlight. The spa was a standout experience, offering personalized treatments tailored to your needs and a variety of options to choose from. The products used were absolutely incredible, leaving us feeling refreshed and pampered All in all, Daydream Island lives up to its name — a peaceful yet activity-filled island paradise that’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to recharge in a beautiful, welcoming setting. Highly recommended for your next getaway! 🌺

Daydream Island is beautiful. A lovely resort with an abundance of wildlife and lovely pools. The downside is the food. With only 2 restaurants to choose from with limited healthy options and a buffet which was overpriced for what they served at night, usually cold and unappealing. The buffet breakfast was good. The rooms were spacious with everything you need except the mattresses were filthy with large brown stains . My daughter had to sleep with me as she had bites all over her after the first night. The tv worked but froze on the local channels. The staff were ok but didn’t appear to enjoy their jobs. Annabel at the front desk was exceptional.

We spent 5 days at the resort and enjoyed it. It’s very family friendly, there’s table tennis in the lobby and kids running around. We felt very comfortable and the staff were all welcoming. The grounds were nice and wildlife was everywhere so were their droppings. The cockatoos are very people friendly and fly right onto our balcony. The pool near the restaurants is well maintained. However, the little spa was lukewarm, a nice break from the chilly pool. But it didn’t feel hot enough, which seems like a breeding ground for bacteria. The views around the island are stunning. We weren’t prepared for the coral all along beaches making it nearly impossible to walk around bare foot. Bring swim shoes as it’s definitely needed. We had a poolside view room that had a beautiful ocean view. My expectations of housekeeping was that they change sheets/beddings when service was requested. However, returning to the room to find the same sheets tucked back in was disappointing. They promptly rectified when I called to request bedding be changed. It’s like they tried to keep things updated and well maintained, but the elements wear things out faster. There’s some mold on the curtains, mold on the grout in the bath, buildup on the taps. Food options are limited and I was bored of eating the same things every day. They try to switch it up by having a buffet on Sunday and Wednesday, which was very good. Other than that you’ve only got 2 restaurants to choose from and a snack shack with chips, ice cream and lollies. Wish there’s an option for healthier snacks. Overall, it was a nice stay, we visited during whale season and spotted whales almost everyday. We also saw sea eagles catching fish which was a rare treat. We should’ve done 3 instead of the 5 we stayed.

We booked a superior pool view room, but ended up in a ground-floor room with no pool view at all. Total letdown! The room was pretty rough—mouldy curtains, holes where pictures should’ve been, dirty walls, and a rusty bathtub. Not the vibe we were expecting. We told reception, but since the resort was fully booked, they basically shrugged and said, “It is what it is.” After some back-and-forth, they moved us to the right room type the next day, which was better but still kinda damp.|The reception staff came across a bit dismissive, they weren’t too fussed about our concerns. It felt like they could use a bit more training in handling guests. That said, the rest of the resort staff were super friendly and laid-back, always happy to help out, which we really appreciated.|The pool area looked awesome but, wow, that water was ice-cold! disappointing since it’s the main draw in winter when there’s not much else going on. On the flip side, the living reef experiences were a total blast! Feeding and gently touching the rays was so cool, and the marine biologist was full of energy and knew their stuff—definitely a highlight.|The resort had a nice, chill vibe and never felt packed, which was great. A bit of TLC for the rooms and some extra training for the reception team would make this place even better.

I have no idea why this place isn't more popular. It's amazing! The rooms are comfy, clean, and modern, and the food at the restaurants is great. They gave us a warm welcome at the front desk with a shell necklace and a drink. The wildlife here is stunning. We had over ten wild cockatoos visit our room and lots of kangaroos you can feed. The pool and hot tub are fun, especially with kids.
