Daydream Island

Its a beautiful place with amazing and friendly staff. The only down side is there is no AC in restaurants and lobby, there is no room service and due to humid weather and storms there is water damage signs in corridors. In totall we enjoyed our stay and made great memories.

So sad. Booked 5 rooms for our annual family holiday. Confirmed months ago as superior ocean view rooms close together. Arrived and were allocated standard rooms. No explanation at check in and we did not know until we went to our rooms. Reception blamed the back office. Unable to move us as they were full! Three of the five rooms had issues with either air conditioning or tv. Multiple calls and visits to reception to have fixed. They gave us a $200 credit in compensation. I did not want compensation I wanted Superior Ocean view rooms as per our written confirmation. It just appears they are on a tight budget as they are slowly attending to repairs and maintenance. One staff told me that they wait until it breaks down before they do anything. Food at Infiniti was superb with Salti a close runner up. Dinner buffet is a miss not a great deal of options. Breakfast was okay, consistency an issue. Staff were mainly friendly. Appeared to be a lot of backpackers from all over the world front of house. Will not go back unless things improve significantly.

We had a good little 3 night stay at Daydream island. Was lovely to get away to the warmth and beautiful scenery. Staff were great, friendly and very accommodating. Kids club not open a lot of the time , resort side of island is well maintained and pretty. Downfalls are Not enough options of food, all drinks so expensive (beer $10,cocktails $24, Smirnoff ice $12, soft drink $5), and not many options for snacks. Highly recommend to bring snack for the stay. Lovers cove, needs a lot of maintenance, however, beautiful sunset. Sunset beach could be GREAT, but again needs a lot of love. Good free water sports available from 9am-2pm only, needs longer operating hours. Overall a lovely stay, 3 nights is enough.

Beautiful hotel on Hamilton Island with stunning ocean views. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Loved seeing animals including the unique Bush Stone-curlew birds. 🪶🦘 Highly recommended!🤩🤩

It’s an island resort, so nothing else on the island but the resort. We had amazing weather which made it okay. The resort and the staff all seem a little bit tired and unhappy. Buildings, facilities, pools, all needing some TLC to bring it up to standard. With so many travel options they need to do better to compete. If you can get a cheap deal, it might be worth it, but we prefer Hamilton Island, there was just a lot more to do and felt a little bit more polished

Great destination for a break. Good deals online. Perfect for kids or without them 😉. Jetski tour was nice. Food is super good. Staff friendly.

l took my kids on holiday here and we all had a great time. lt was the first time l had taken them on a proper holiday. lnstead of going to school we flew up here from Sydney and we were here for 4 days 😍 lt was paradise on earth, the water is so blue. l would highly recommend it. We made great memories here 🏖🏝⛱🤿🐟🦭🐬🐋🐳🐠🐙🏄🏊‍♀️

Recently went for a bit of a holiday after 3 years of non stop work. And wow, what an experience. You can plan your day and go crazy with activities and adventures, or you can chill and just soak some sun (using sunscreen ofc). It's up to you. It's close to other ports so you can transfer elsewhere for different things. Staff were very friendly and especially the hotel manager who was so welcoming (he was there until late!!) Room was clean, I had no issues at all. Beach towel were also given on top of normal towels (some places makes you ask for them). Buffet breakfast was a good addition. I honestly cannot fault them. Yes there was one or two ants, but it's tropical weather, so it's expecte, so a non issue. Would I go back? Yeah of course! Would I recommend to others? Yeah of course! Keep up the great work. Shame we left before the Xmas decorations were up. But I'm sure the place would look pretty.
