Overall, my stay at Dayon Hostel was okay, but there’s room for improvement.
The facade and lobby are aesthetically pleasing, and the front desk staff was accommodating. However, I was assigned an upper bunk bed even though a lower bunk was vacant. I’m not sure if guests can reserve specific spots, but the person who later occupied that bed arrived almost five hours after me.
One issue I noticed was the awkward gap between the bed and the wall beside it, which makes it easy for items to fall onto the bunk below.
As for the common bathroom, it’s basic and aligns with the price point. However, some stalls had issues with the heater—it was difficult to turn off—so I preferred using the last stall, which was already off.
The highlight for me was the roof deck, where they offer free coffee and serve meals. It’s a nice spot to relax and unwind.
