The Days Inn located in Parsippany, NJ should not even be considered an option as a hotel. First off, the reason you get a hotel, especially when traveling from out of town is to have nice place to sleep and rejuvenate for the rest of your trip. However, we found it impossible to rejuvenate in their beds located in the supposed "Economy Section" of the hotel. The beds do not give more than a centimeter when you lay on them, and it's impossible to find a position that provides a small amount of comfort. Perhaps, we could have requested 20+ pillows to lay on top of and it would've worked better. The blankets and comforters located in the "non-smoking" section had obvious cigarette burns in them. They provided us with 3, very flat pillows per double bed, which did not help the lack of comfort for sleeping. Aside from the extremely uncomfortable "mattresses", the room had a decent television, microwave, and surprisingly the air conditioner worked. The back patio, located beyond a door with a padlock meant to keep out who knows what, was nice, but the boards were loose and seemed unsafe. In the morning, we found out there is a newer and more improved "Business Section" to the hotel, which has much nicer amenities, including normal mattresses. However, we were never offered a room in the newer, more improved section of the Days Inn located in Parsippany, NJ. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you are able to get into the newer and improved "Business" section.
