Great location for airport transit The location of this airport hotel is perfect — only about a 10-minute walk to Terminal 1. We had a flight departing at 10 a.m., and staying here gave us a really nice sleep-in. We only needed to start getting ready around 8 a.m.! The most convenient thing is that you don’t even need to go outside or walk along the street — there’s actually a link bridge connecting Terminal 1 directly to the hotel lift, which is incredibly handy. The facilities are new and clean. The water is hot, and the room includes a fridge and toiletries. Our first room’s fridge didn’t work, but the staff immediately changed us to a new room. I’ve seen a few reviews mentioning that the staff aren’t helpful, but from my experience, they were very attentive and resolved our issue quickly and efficiently. We stayed in the South Building, which is apparently the newer one compared to the North Building. From our room, we could see the airport right across the road — a very handy location! Since we didn’t have a Chinese SIM card or phone number, we had to contact reception to activate the Wi-Fi. They needed a verification code that’s sent to a Chinese number, which was a bit inconvenient, but the staff helped us through it. The air-conditioning didn’t seem to work properly — we set it to 23°C, but the meter showed around 25°C. Luckily, the weather was mild during our stay (around 18°C outside), so the room still felt comfortable. However, for someone staying longer or during warmer days, it might feel a bit stuffy. There’s a restaurant inside the hotel, and plenty of dining options at the airport and nearby buildings. We didn’t book breakfast in advance, but the price seemed reasonable if you want to purchase it on the day. Overall, highly recommended for anyone catching an early flight or transiting through the airport.

Convenient for early morning flights, that’s it. Rooms were stuffy and warm despite being set at “05 degrees” yes “05” the lowest possible?! And max fan speed. Breakfast was 30 RMB but it was so bland it makes hospital food taste like a 3-star Michelin meal. But for that price, can’t complain too much. Wifi never worked. The room wifi requires SMS which we could not receive so called down to reception to be told to use Airport6 which I found but disappeared right away after connecting to it…… The only advantage is its proximity to the airport, between the two terminals and located near the Maglev station. Also overheard receptionist telling another guest South building rooms are nicer but more expensive. When I’d booked them on an OTA, they were the same price but South does look better so I booked that. Cleanliness could be improved as found food crumbs and quite a few strands of long hair around the bin.

I spent the night of August 24, 2025 at this hotel without checking the reviews on Google beforehand. I was so satisfied that I decided to leave a comment. I’m actually very surprised by the low rating. Here is my review: *Location: (see photo 6 for an airport map). The hotel is right in the middle. It is ideal if you have a flight to catch, as it is located at the very center of the airport (between Terminals 1 and 2). If you get lost, look for Middle Wuzhou Path (see photo 4). Of course, if your goal is to visit the city, this is not the right hotel for you. *Service quality: this is not a leisure hotel but a transit hotel, intended for passengers in transit. So don’t expect leisure facilities (sauna, hammam, bar, etc.). However, for a stopover, it provides everything you need: comfortable bed, good shower, drinking water, tea, hair dryer, etc. *Breakfast: for 30 RMB, you get an excellent breakfast, both Chinese and Western (the photo shows my own choice, but there are many options). *Staff: reception is available 24/7. English is not always perfect, but the staff is helpful. *Negative point: the hotel is very poorly signposted! Don’t look for a sign that says Dazhong Airport Hotel: all the signs only say Airport Hotel. The hotel is mainly recognizable by its central elevator (see photos 1 to 3). *Quietness: from my room, I could see the planes and even a major road, but I didn’t hear a thing: the soundproofing is excellent. I stayed from 11:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., so perhaps it is a bit noisier during the day. The hotel provides earplugs (I didn’t need them). ==>Conclusion: this is a perfect hotel for a layover, but not for a leisure stay!

I would not be put off by other reviews. On our first day we checked in at 10:00 instead of 14:00 and were not charged for it, nor for any deposit. Checking in early was an absolute lifesaver after coming off a 12 hour flight landing 07:30. Staff are polite and happy to help. Location not too easy to find, but incredibly convenient once you do find it. It’s between the maglev and metro a short walk from the second floor of terminal 2. Follow signs to ‘airport hotel’. Another google maps review was the only reason i found it. Rooms are modern and clean. Air con does not really work which is the only reason I have given four stars (really it should be three as it’s a killer in august). Shower water takes a while to get warm at peak demand times. Get the maglev not the metro into shanghai. Metro takes a long time.

*Not an ideal hotel for long or enjoyable stay. *Located in walkable distance from airport terminal, you may feel isolated since it's located in airport area so no shops and things to look after when you get out of the hotel. *For taxi services you need to go airport only. *Rooms doesn't smell nice and had bad odor. *Staffs should behave more kind to customers. *Don't forget to carry 1000 CNY as advance during check in. *Ideal for short alt or sleepover stay.

You're average Chinese hotel, but at an airport. I arrived at 2am and the desk person was very friendly and spoke decent English. Since it was 2am, I was the only person there. It was about a five minute walk from the terminal. Room was as expected. Beds were firm but worked out okay. I was just there to get sleep. Many people have commented on the air conditioning. Very few hotels in China have good air conditioning in my experience. This was about average for China. Which means it blew cool (not cold) air. The room temperature was fine and it wasn't too warm (this was in early May). The water pressure was good and the shower was pleasant. I got a good night's sleep and was ready to fly home. Overall this hotel was exactly what I needed. But it's not a four star hotel with good air conditioning and soft beds. Just know that going into it. I'd stay here again if the need arose.

I literally have to ride a taxi for 1 hour to get here because the people don’t speak English. And it was so expensive 279 yuan (100,000 Thai baht) Luckily we found many people who helped us. The bed was pretty comfy toilet clean wallpaper is an interesting choice of colours like I mean there were literally green with red. The tv is small air conditioning in the lobby was pretty good.

We spent 3 nights here, 2 on arrival, one on departure. The location, a short walk from the terminals was great. Good bed. Easy check in and out. Just what we were looking for.
