This is hands-down the best hair salon experience I’ve ever had! As soon as I came in, Michael was beyond helpful in listening to exactly what I wanted. He explained each step as he went and checked in with me to see that we were still on track. He was incredibly friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The price was also incredible - $245 for a partial highlight, toner, haircut, and blowdry! Thank you, Michael, and I will be back!

I went to Michael for a bang trim, haircut and root touch up of blond hair. Communicating with Michael was super easy. He understood what I needed easily and clearly. He patiently listened to my needs and wishes. I could not be happier with my haircut and my hair color. My hair gets very brassy, I came with my hair being a total orange mess and came out with perfect hair. The haircut I got was easy to style at home later. My blowout lasted for days. The color is perfect. The post color treatment left my hair nice and soft too even after I washed it at home. You can really see many years of Michael's experience, it's just something you can't fake. He's a professional. He is also great to talk to. Anyway, I couldn't be happier and more grateful. I recommend Michael 100%.

I have been going to Michael for over 16 years! He does such a great job and fits me in between both of our crazy schedules. I get so many compliments after I get my hair highlighted by him that friends and family travel from Eastern LI just to have him do theirs. These pictures don't even do justice. If you need a new hairdresser, he is your man. Don't hesitate and trust me you won't be sorry.

Why I've never thought I'd cry about hair, but I'm so upset right now. I spent a lot of money to get my hair colored, for the first time, and came in for a trim. Dazzle looked inexpensive so I came in for a TRIM to get the ends of my hair off. I pointed and showed Mishaela where I wanted my hair cut and the stylist pointed in the same spot and verbally repeated it back to me. (My chest was a reference point as well) SHE CUT IT 6 INCHES SHORTER. (This isn't an exaggeration, I measured it) I feel like a boy now. She literally cut almost ALL THE COLOR OFF and WASTED my money. I know hair grows back, but I'm so sad because I paid a lot to get it colored and was so happy with it. I'd never gotten it colored before, so I was nervous and excited. I also have to go to a wedding like this now. I feel like she partially didn't realize how short she was cutting it, but a part of me feels like it's because I wouldn't pay for other services she offered. Also the waiting area bench fabric is extremely ripped on the seat. It looks cheap and dirty. This is the first thing a customer sees when they walk in. If that's how you maintain the front area of your business then how do you treat the rest of it? Take care of your business. Never going back here again. Never recommending this to a friend. Even if it was free. No way.

I am reposting. I had been a Dazzle client for about five years. My hair looked a mess after not being treated for four months. So I was happy to hear the salon was reopening on June 22. David was not able to give me an appointment till June 24 because the salon was all "booked up". David gave me a cut, deep conditioning, base color and highlights. The cut was fine but the color was drab. This has happened in the past with David - sometimes, my hair needed more highlights. Since I live close to the salon, it was not a problem to go back. However, this time, David was badgering me about an appointment. I called on the following Monday and the salon was "so booked up" that he could only grudgingly fit me in on a Thursday night. I went to another salon and they took me on the same day. David was also in a rotten mood when the salon re-opened. He ridiculed my attempts to apply my own base color and said my "dark Italian hair" was showing through. Excuse me but Italians aren't the only people in the world with dark hair. Another major problem at this salon is the never-ending discussion of politics. David and his brother Michael are Trump supporters. I have also heard several racial and ethnic remarks but I will not go any farther. The constant talking in Russian is also irritating. You would think that after doing my hair for so many years, David would leave the highlights on a bit longer or put me under the dryer to expedite processing. Good Riddance.

Moved to NYC about a month ago and needed a haircut ASAP. I was shocked by all the local prices ~$50 -$120 for shampoo and cut. I saw Dazzles on yelp and read the price of $25 and was excited but also nervous. It was significantly cheaper than many of the places around it in the midtown area. Figure I'd try it out anyways and was surprisingly pleased! Made an appointment with David a day in advance. Had 4 inches cut off, with some layers put in. He was very attentive to the haircut and took his time. I appreciated that. Plus he gave good advice about the cut and length. Definitely giving this place 5 stars. Don't be nervous. Come try this place out! $25 included shampoo and haircut. I will definitely come back here for another haircut.

Michael (manager) has been doing my blonde highlights for 4 years. He does a fantastic job and is always open to changing things if desired. Most recent visit was post covid, Dazzle is talking all the precautions (no one is allowed inside except clients and only 2 allowed in at one time, open doors for outside air to circulate in and out, sanitizer and masks. "Southern Blondes" do not walk ... run to Dazzle for highlights in the city.

Great highlights from Michael and his team. I was nervous getting my hair colored after a gap of 15 years and wanted a very subtle and natural look and Michae delivered!! He did exactly like the pics I showed him. He was very patient in listening to my requirements and paid great attention to my reference pictures. He then gave his own suggestions and showed me his color palettes. The whole process along with toner took 3 hrs and he and his team put in great effort!! The color here is without bleach And just the way I wanted!!

I cannot believe I paid someone to do THIS to my hair. It is a total hack job - uneven, chunky cut lines all over. He didn't take any time to blend it. During the cut, he was violently ripping through any snarls, breaking my hair off with every brush stroke. This is hands down the worst hair cut I have ever had. I seriously regret walking through their door. Before I left, he blow dried and styled my hair, which camouflaged the jagged lines all over. It wasn't until I washed it and tried to wear it straight that I could see just what he had done to me. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I've been visiting Dazzle for the past five years after my sister-in-law recommended David to me! David is extremely kind and professional. He takes the time to listen to me each time and ensures that my hair will still in fact be long when I walk out. I've always had a wonderful experience each time (whether it's a haircut or just a day to day blow out). I highly recommend Dazzle.

Michael cut my hair and he was the nicest guy ever. He did exactly what I wanted! Even though I told him what I wanted and gave him the liberty to please cut more if needed since I hadn't had a haircut in over a year, he ended up cutting my hair exactly how I pictured it in my head. He was very kind and nice. Left my hair feeling soft and looks really nice!

My wife and I have been having our hair cut by David at Dazzle Hair Salon since they opened about 10 years ago. The haircuts regularly elicit complements from everyone and amazement when we tell people how inexpensive the haircuts are. David and all the people who work there are always pleasant and accommodating; the salon is clean and welcoming. We were surprised to see anything but rave reviews for Dazzle, given our ten years of going there!

Easy, breezy process and reasonable prices to match! I called the day before and explained the urgency of getting in quick. They scheduled me a next day appointment at 2pm. Upon arrival, they were fairly busy. They offered me warm beverages and updates as the time went on (and I was only waiting a few minutes after my appointment). My stylist, David, was seriously so pleasant to spend the afternoon with! We had great conversation the entire appointment! And before the chatting began, he took time to learn about my hair history, review a few of my photos, and discuss color options! My hair was cut slightly different, more straight than before, but it looks great from what I can tell! And I have up to five days to report issues, if any. I will be back!

I have long hair and a fear of haircuts, but after going to Dazzle for 2 years, I think I would trust David with my life! I will never go ANYWHERE else!! They do EXACTLY what you ask, EVERY SINGLE TIME. And I get a wash/cut/dry for $25!!! I absolutely love this place and the staff, couldn't recommend it enough! If you're debating where to go -- go to Dazzle and ask for David -- you won't regret it.

HIGHLY recommend for highlights and haircut! I found Michael the manager through Groupon almost 4 years ago. I moved to CT and slowly stopped making the commute in and found a local hairdresser that completely ruined my hair. Michael takes his time consulting with you and provides great recommendations and direction to get you the best results possible. His highlights are meticulous and he balances taking his time with trying to get you on your way without sucking up 5 hours like some salons. I am with him for the long haul!

I love this place! I moved in NYC few months ago and since than Michael has been my hairstylist. He is always very professional and patient. He always takes all the time he needs to listen to my wishes and understand how I'd like my hair look like. Few days ago I had highlights, roots and blow dry. At the end of his work my hair was amazing!

I was desperately in need to get my ends trimmed. There were a few vacations worth of damage. I found this place through lifebooker and their regular rates were just as good as the others discounted rates, so I decided to try. Plus, if you go to their site, you get a 10% off coupon for being a first time customer. I got a deep conditioning treatment and a trim (no styling). My hair was to the middle of my back, I told him that I wanted my ends trimmed with long layers and said "not too short". Before I knew it, my hair was skimming my shoulders.... no layers.... and he said "Is it short enough for you?". Needless to say, I wasn't too happy, but I paid my money, and used my "first and last time customer" coupon and left.

I've read the reviews and came here with a groupon now deal. That includes a cut and a deep conditioning treatment. Stay far away from the deep conditioning treatment, it doesn't work. Hair felt more coarse after the treatment. The people are nice, but the quality isn't there. I asked for basic layers and side bangs, but I received a very choppy haircut, and there's no way out. My hair wasn't fully blow dried, and even though I didn't ask for the styling treatment, they were done with me and I looked like I spent the entire night rolling around in bed. I asked to borrow the straightener so I can straighten the mess, but they said no. So they let me walk out their doors with a bad haircut. Oh and if you're someone who enjoys the hair wash, definitely do not count on getting a good one here. All in all, not a pleasant short or long term experience.

I have had the same hair dresser since I was 12, but I don't always have the time or the energy to travel out to NJ for a haircut. So this past Saturday, I gathered up the courage to try someone new. I walked into to Dazzle with no appointment around 2pm. It was no problem and I was in the chair before I could blink. The hair stylist sat down with me before touching my hair to get an idea of exactly what I wanted. 45 minutes later, I was shampooed, cut, and blown dry. I have no complaints about my cut, the staff is nice as can be, and I will definitely be returning!

I have lived in the Murray Hill section for 2 years and have tried many salons in this area. Dazzle is by far the best I have been to and will now make it my regular salon. Other salons try to up sell you for services you don't want and products you don't need. That's not the case with Dazzle. I've had a blow out done by David and recently a cut and dry by Michael. The prices are fantastic (am I really in Murray Hill?) and the professionalism of all the staff is wonderful. I absolutely love my new cut and will be going back for my colors, root touch ups, and Brazilian Blowout. Thanks!!!

I went to Dazzle today for a shampoo and haircut. I asked for David, who gave me a Brazilian Blowout a couple of months back. The shampoo was fantastic. David also gave me a free/complimentary leave-in hair treatment, which was a great surprise. He gave me a wonderful trim, a long fringe (as requested), and was a pleasure to interact with. David is always so accommodating and polite; and very professional! Ask for him! The price at Dazzle is truly unbeatable. $25 for a shampoo and great cut is better than anywhere else in Manhattan.

I got a life booker and booked an appointment. Very friendly and attentive staff. Victor washed my hair and gave me an amazing scalp massage ! Then Michael talked to me a few minutes and asked me how I wanted my hair cut. I explained that I wanted to keep my length and just get a trim and a some bangs. He did a fabulous job and kept to my instructions and provided hair care suggestions! My hair looks great! Definitely will be back.

I got my haircut here last October when I was just passing by. David gave me my haircut and it was absolutely beautiful. I am extremely picky with my hair cut but he understood what I wanted and gave me exactly that. He was very friendly, gave me tips on how to take care of my hair and also gave me a free blow dry. I went back again today and requested for David. He gave me an even better haircut today and I love it! Once again, he understood exactly what I wanted: more layers while keeping the length same (pictures included). I would highly recommend this place!

I was walking by and saw a hair salon. I needed a blowout and decided to walk in and try it. I was very happy with the results and appreciated that they fit me in. The staff was welcoming, professional and skilled. I will absolutely return again.

The initial way to test a salon is to go in, ask for a trim and see how much they take off. After three successful cuts at Dazzle, today I finally had the courage to let someone new color my hair. I haven't had my highlights done in probably almost a year due to a very bad experience last time. But alas, this "ombre but not really ombre" look I had going on really had to go. I went in to the salon, had a conversation with Michael about my hair (less blonde, more golden brown ish), and he got it completely. Long story short, I couldn't be happier. He even told me I had three days to come back if I thought the highlights were too light and he'd darken them for free. I won't be going back until my next cut, though, because my highlights are great. Highly recommend!

First of all: I love Michael. He did a wonderful job with my hair gloss. He kept offering me tea or wine, and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed -- and that I wouldn't go out into the cold with wet hair! It was easy to get an appointment with Dazzle Beauty Salon. I got just what I wanted, and no one tried to up-sell or pressure me. And I walked out with beautiful, shiny hair!

I have been going to this place since 2014. I love the atmosphere of this place. All these years, David has shown his extraordinary talent. He loves what he does, and he is very passionate about it. I love going there to get very stylish and cool haircut. Also, his life stories are great and funny. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality.

These guys are GREAT. I go to Michael but David's clients always look great too. These guys are the real deal and very highly skilled. Very convenient and very reasonably priced. I go to Michael for color, cuts and Brazilian straightening, and he does a brilliant job at all three! Seriously, I get compliments all the time, after spending many years paying much more for often far lesser results. I have problematic frizzy mostly grey hair and thanks to Michael I could almost be a hair model. My husband and I have been going to Dazzle now for a few years...David is terrific and always gives us an excellent cut....also very friendly and courteous...the store follows the covid rules and we feel safe there...

I've been a few times because $25 is a great deal for a totally solid cut (they'll give you the same price without lifebooker--but I make sure to tip at least 25%.) If you can find a better or equal cut for that price, I'd love to know about it... You do have to be specific/firm with your instructions in my experience. I don't know why no one (at any salon) ever believes I *really* just want a trim unless they show me how much they'll cut and I keep saying "not so much!". Disclaimer: I have really easy hair to cut, as in really, really strait and medium-length, so I don't really know how they do with curly hair, thick hair, or complicated styles. Thanks Michael!

I have been in Manhattan for about 9 months and have avoided worrying about my hair, but there comes a time in a girls life where she needs to just sit down and let someone do her hair. I came to Dazzle due to a recommendation by a friend of a family friend and honestly, I was really really nervous. I've had one person do my hair for the past few years so although I read all the great reviews on here, I was still nervous. Once I walked into the salon everything changed. I met Michael (the manager) and he took me under his wing. He looked at my hair after I told him what I wanted and just went to work. What was really cool was the fact that he took me through the process and would tell me what he was doing , when he was doing it and how he was gonna do it. It was nice to be kept in the loop. There have been times with other hair dressers who just kinda do what they want and I don't even know what was happening. The whole process took about 4.5 hours. I know I know What the heck? How could that happen? Honestly, they made the process seem like an hour. They were constantly asking me if I wanted anything to drink, gave me magazines, explained everything so that really helped let the time fly. After all the foils were out of my hair, the hair was dry, the bangs were cut - I fell in love with my new do. Michael really really really knows what he is doing. He takes pride in his work and you can tell. Since it was my first time he also gave me a massive discount which was over the top sweet of him. All in all - I had an amazing experience. The price I paid was totally worth everything I received and my hair is fantastic! Here's a little Tip: Bring extra cash for tipping, they can't do it on credit card. Enjoy!

I found this place via LifeBooker and chose it based on price and location. It is only a few blocks from Grand Central which made it very convenient for me. And at $25 for a haircut, the price point is perfect for me as well. I hardly ever get a haircut, mostly due to the fear that the stylist will cut off more than I ask for. My hair is very, very long and super damaged from breakage and not getting it cut in a while. I wanted to do baby steps to trim off the split ends though and not sacrifice too much of the length. Luckily, Oksana listened to my request and cut off exactly what I asked for. That makes me trust her and more likely to go to her for more regular trims to get my hair in the best condition possible. If you have long hair and just want a simple trim, this is the place to go, and Oksana is the stylist to see. Since I was just going home right after, I didn't need to pay extra for a blow dry and style, so I was happy to just pay for a cut. She even blew it out a bit so that was a nice treat as well. I will definitely be back sooner rather than later.
