Hotel Dazzler Puerto Madryn
Rooms are comfortable size and located centrally, some overlooking the beach.
The beds are not great and rather uncomfortable, the other furniture bad for one’s health. The shower can hardly be called functional. Our window would not close properly, which made sleeping in the strong wind (very common here) difficult, so they sent someone to fix it - with tape!
The curtains do not close properly, which considering the rooms face north means one is woken up early.
The breakfast is basic and unchangeable, which after.a few days inedible. The times are for their convenience and not the guests, as breakfast ends at 10:30 - even on New Year’s day.
The dinners, to which hotel guests get 20% discount were very good.
The cleaning depended on the person doing it. Likewise reception staff, some were very friendly and helpful, others could not be bothered even to greet. The big exception was Juliette who very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable! This lady was a gem who really did her best to help in any way possible!
The restaurant evening staff were friendly and wonderful!
It is sad the hotel offers nothing between breakfast and lunch, coffee options would be convenient for guests, especially if it rains or while waiting.
Since the flight to Buenos Aires is quite late, we requested late check out for which we had to pay US$ 80 (more than half a night’s rate).
The hotel is stated as 4 star which considering the above, we do not feel it deserves. At best it is a 3.
If we were to come to Porto Madryn again we would seek another place.
