db San Antonio Hotel + Spa

I can’t recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The food is gorgeous with so many options. Bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. Pools are lovely and location is great. Most importantly, the staff, especially the entertainment staff are absolutely wonderful. They make such an effort to get to know everyone. They are amazing with the kids and the dancers…just wow! Just when we thought our holiday couldn’t get any better…our little girl got to meet all the dancers backstage and give them a little gift on the last night. What a talented and kind group of people. Thank you so much db San Antonio for an unforgettable holiday.

Just spent an amazing week at this hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 13:00 check in not till 15:00 but luckily our room was ready. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The outside pool area was lovely. Very busy at the weekend due to locals being able to pay to use the pool. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The food was standard we eat out a couple of times. There are 4 restaurants you can book in the hotel which were really good and food was nice. On a whole our stay was amazing and have a great week. Thank you db San Antonio for looking after us.

This was def a hotel of two halves, pool area very busy with children, games, music etc and noisy all day, ok if that’s what you want. Rooftop pool and bar a lot more calmer and chilled for myself and two older boys for sunbathing, relaxing and reading. Restaurants were lovely and buffet restaurant ok. Drinks were lovely and cocktails made on request in a blender rather than pre-made. Views from the hotel were stunning and location was spot on and 2 min walk you’re on the beach (shingle) too. |My only issue was I paid 30 euro deposit for 3 towels, returned 3 cards at the end of the holiday only to get 20 euros back as only two had been assigned to our two rooms and I paid cash and couldn’t recall a receipt being given to me at midnight upon arrival. Keep your towel receipts as the cards are not the receipt! |Malta is a fabulous island and we went to Medina and Valletta which were amazing and there were so many other things to see. We just used Uber to get around but there were sightseeing buses and a bus station just round the corner if needed.

Fab week away in the sun! Excellent food and drinks with brilliant service. Great location for public transport. We had a couple of massages in the spa which were brilliant and exactly what was needed. The entertainment team work hard all day to get everyone involved which is amazing to see. Well done them! Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Great hotel, perfect location and staff were amazing. We booked a sea view but were given a pool view which wasn’t a problem but they gave us complimentary spa treatments to compensate. Brilliant experience, pools were great and the chefs prepared us seperate dishes for our vegan family. Would definitely go back, wonderful experience.

Our stay at db San Antonio was absolutely amazing. The staff are incredible attentive and look after all the guests very well. We were on all-inclusive plus and highly recommend! All the extras you get are very worth it, including premium cocktails and drinks with branded spirits. The snacks the lay out are perfect and the breakfast amazing, with an incredibly kind chef who will cook you any eggs you ask for. This hotel was extremely clean as well, and always had endless sun beds. Highly recommend!

Stayed for a week at the beginning of July as a group of 5, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pros: +As part of the all inclusive package, you get 1 visit per al a carte restaurant, the Salia and Yushan were very good quality +Very central location, bus station is a 2 minute walk away with fares no more than 3 euros, we took the bus to Mdina (a must visit) and Valetta. +No sunbed wars, we never struggled to find a couple of sunbeds as a group, even when going to the pool in the afternoon + We really enjoyed the sky bar that overlooked the sea. It did get busy some evenings but we always managed to find seats. Excellent choice of drinks and friendly staff. + The main buffet restaurant had plenty of seating and we were always to find a table for 5. The desert and fruit selection was very good and there was options for children e.g nuggets, fish fingers, pizza etc + Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Cleaning staff in particular made sure to say hello when passing in the corridors. Our cleaner Lila was especially friendly, and we always came back to a thoroughly clean room in the afternoon. + The water is not drinkable but there is a plenty of drinkable water stations around the hotel to fill up water bottles. Cons: - The main dining restaurant was quite disappointing at times. We never struggled to find a table but noticed there was often a fair amount of tables that had piles of plates on and hadn't been relayed. The selection of food was sometimes lacking, with some evenings having too many fish options and a lack of salad options. The buffet would have benefitted with more veggie options as well as more meat options like chicken, beef etc and more prepared salads. - Sunday was slightly busier with visitors, so we decided to do a day trip and book one of the a la carte restaurants in the evening to avoid the business. - The 'double beds' were two beds pushed together and the flooring in the room meant they did slip apart at times. - We noticed a minor issue of being able to hear people in their rooms when walking through the corridors. However, the rooms themselves were soundproofed and we never heard any outside noise or noise from rooms next to us. Despite the negatives, we enjoyed the hotel and would revisit in the future.

Went to Malta for a family wedding and enjoyed our stay here for the week. Plus lounge made it that much more enjoyable. Very pleasant and helpful staff. In particular Madan in reception was very helpful on arrival and when we left. All in all a wonderful experience and hope to return again in the near future.
