DCH on Mitchell

I was so disappointed, the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. Constant noise almost impossible to sleep.house keeping were rude.i ended up checking out & leaving early 3 days before my fully paid week was up.manager didn't seems fazed by my concerns great location.but the hotel needs to set up reception in the biolding & run it like the main hotel on smith Street. I also had to ring them to get them to release my deposit because they forgot to do it.

Unbelievable hotel from the time we checked in to our departure. Couldn’t fault anything staff are amazing from the front of house and the back of house. Clean rooms, house keepers are wonderful checking if we needed anything every day. H on Mitchell is our Hotel of choice when we holiday in Darwin which we have for many years.it’s location is great close to everything and walking around We loved the new look pool/ bbq area would have been great to have added a spa. Unfortunately this holiday we had booked 1 year in advance and requested a room for the balcony that faced on Mitchell Street but got one facing elsewhere. We fully recommend this hotel to family and friends (so do yourself a favour and stay in this hotel) the restaurant and bar are great friendly staff |Well done H on Mitchell 👍we will be back for Christmas/ New Year

Should be called DCH on Smith Check in is off Smith Street at the actual Darwin City Hotel. I even called upon making my booking, to ensure late check in would be ok, and nobody mentioned that reception is on Smith Street. Which is two streets over from Mitchell. Why not just put some signs around the place, explaining the reception desk is via Smith Street? There’s nothing. The room is clean enough, but there’s no raised surface for cases or clothing. There’s not even one chair or one bedside table. Sandwiches must be made on the bed, which might explain the previous review saying their bed was full of ants. The air con works and the price is good.

Two stars for location. There are serious problems here. Hotel in mitchell st, reception in smith st. No signs to tell you. People always asking where to go. Fob keys often wont open doors. Cleaners and management always in bad mood. Tiny rooms. Don't unpack your bag, there's no drawers, nothing, not even a bedside table. Clothes can only be stored on the floor. Place needs a lot of maintenance, but owner is off somewhere getting rich. All this for $140 pn. Edit; its 7pm. Im by the pool and behind me is a workshop with loud electrical tools and hammers sounding off. There are 4 chinese workers here who dont speak english and do slave labour from 6am til around 7.30pm. This has been happening for the last 3 weeks.

honestly almost didn’t get laid because i couldn’t find the receipt desk. it’s located on SMITH ST. The building says DARWIN CITY HOTEL. crocy oh hell matey. GO USA 🇺🇸

A rather well located hotel just off Mitchell Street, where all the city's clubs and restaurants are.A nice room at first glance that looked clean, however upon inspection the underside of the bed had not been vacuumed and there were objects from previous occupants (hairbrush and even a fork??)...very unhygienic. For the price I'd say it's ok...

Very poor experience. Blood on bedding, cockroaches and dead ants in room. Bathroom very dirty with hair and tissue from previous users. Very unhelpful staff, I had to complain on 4 separate occasions before anything got remotely resolved. The 'gated' parking, is not secure as the gate is constantly left open, which I drew to the staffs attention, which they ignored.

Blood on sheets, staff weren’t that helpful, showers were mediocre. Prepare to put up with the screaming from other guests
