DCU-Camping Odense

Lovely site with friendly staff. Facilities were fine, always clean but slightly let down by cold showers with no facility to adjust temperature, that was probably the main reason there was never a queue. Easy access to city centre particularly by bicycle.

We were happy about their kind and helpful staff - not something you come across everywhere. The showers were nice and clean. The bus stop for the city centre is right in front of the camping site. However, careful about using local transportation - QR code payments do not often function and you have to pay cash in Danish crowns on the bus, which is rather expensive - 15 minutes for 5 people 95 DKK.

This is the best camping site if you want to visit Odense. You can reach the most parts of Odense by bike or public transport within 10 km at max. The facilities and services at the camping site are great. If you don't have a camper, there are parts for tents or little cottages to rent. We are looking forward to our next visits.

Conveniently located, popular,city site with excellent facilities for children's play. Owners went to great trouble to fit us in on a busy holiday weekend. Sanitary facilities were adequate but not exceptional and we used our own. Motorhome servicing was awkward to access but there were two separate areas. All facilities were clean and well maintained.Bread available at reception. Expensive compared to other European sites at £41 for 2 adults and campervan, without using electricity but this is the going rate for Denmark.

Very accessible the city centre by bike. Very nice the camping, old showers and toilets but clean in general. Very nice pool. Fresh bread and croissants in the morning

Good site to choose if you're visiting Central Odense. Easy access into the city either by bus, which stops just outside, or by escooter and bicycle. The site itself offers good facilities with fresh bread in the morning. There are two facilities blocks, both well sized and a motorhome service point as well. You can normally tell how good a site is by how full it is, and this one is pretty busy. Happy to recommend it.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience. We were traveling with our two children (ages 1 and 3) and took one of the outdoor free spots (marked by an envelope). We went into the city and came back around 6:30 pm. Then we were told we had to leave because the spot had already been booked and no other spots were available. There was no apology at all. Even though the parking area in front was empty, we were not allowed to stay there for the night, even after we asked. Although the site itself looked very nice, this is simply unacceptable for us. It’s not family-friendly.

Very handy for the bus into Odense and walk into Funen village. Facilities are clean. Quite expensive though for a basic grass pitch and 13 amp electric.
