Fun set of boutiques and mid range luxury shops spanning 3 parallel streets - 9 blocks would be an accurate description as well! Great for purchasing gifts for others (and certainly for yourself). Nice variety, but don’t expect any inexpensive souvenir shops over here. Lovely place to spend an afternoon!

De 9 Straatjes is such a charming place to walk around. The small streets are full of character, with beautiful buildings, cozy cafés, and unique little shops. It definitely feels like a must-visit spot if you are spending time in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is relaxed and it is a perfect area to just wander and enjoy the city’s vibe.

The shops are lovely. Much better than the chain stores and endless souvenir stalls in the central area. It was quite busy on a Sunday, but the window shopping and browsing in the independent shops was really fun. The area is pretty clean and the canals are all quite photogenic .
