We come just before Christam from the Vaal to enjoy their delicious poffertjes and croquettes. Their almond paste fiiled Christmas wreaths and bars are a must to take home and enjoy with Douwe Egberts coffee.

Was fortunate enough to grow up visiting here. Well worth the drive - make sure you get there early because items fly off the shelves in the bakery! Their frozen kroketten and bitterballen are an absolute treat for having at home and handy in the freezer. Top quality all around and both the restaurant and the bakery takes pride in this! Take a visit to the shop around the corner for some more products like the hagelslag, platte salmiakjes, and so much more. The restaurant also makes some of the nicest hot chocolate and fresh meals.

The service from the woman at the till is terrible! She treated the ladies in front of me just fine, I get there and greet as I always do and got such a dirty look back and barely a hello after watching her being so enthusiastic with the ladies before us. This is not the first time this has happened either and I’m sorry but to have such behaviour as one of the faces that people deal with is very poor for business. You don’t deserve business, you earn it which seems to have been forgotten here unfortunately.

Pies are tasty however on a number of occasions pies were cold. Most recently only had sausage rolls "just taken out the freezer" ..Definitely not freshly baked. You better off going to Croydon Bakery for something hot and freshly baked.

I have always lived in Edenvale, Modderfontein and Bedfordview area. They were my number one place to go for my children’s birthday cakes. I have since moved to the North. Nothing compares!!! When I visit the East rand I stock up. Everything freezes beautifully. Best bakery in Gauteng.

Very cool spot in and around the shop and OMW too many yummies to choose from. Excellent snacks for meetings and events. Great food and service.

I like going to this place once in a while. But the place has new management in and since then the food needs to be refreshed so the food can be improved to the same taste as I know the flavour as. Still a nice place to sit out on thee deck but would like them to also get WiFi for the customer to use when we need to communicate to business partners this could possibly increase a little bit more income as I'm not sure if there's flavoured tea or speciality brands of fresh coffee available. But the place still is the same as used to be clean and friendly environment good for weekend lunches and downstairs has a good Dutch bakery with lots of goodies to try. Parking is available and there is no kids unit. Just to mention I didn't see a loo or waiste closet facility for this spot yet but I'm sure there's a spot available if you ask the staff rendering there duty on the premises. The windmill still doesn't move as they taking the rotation system out the roof cap of the mill but there should be a new menu with most of the food available from the old menu. Let's hope they can revive the recipes and improve the flavour of the meals and I have seen the prices are correct and cam shit everyone's pocket

Bought items for a weekend away. Small chicken pies are delicious. Very good cheesy bread sticks and pigs ears. Good selection of desserts available. Not upmarket offerings but good, tasty options at a reasonable price.
