How to Plan the Perfect Trip to Naples, Italy

"A modern rooftop bar with an elegant lounge area offering breathtaking views of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and the Gulf; Fiorentino notes the cocktail program leans on international classics and inventive twists, saying, “Expect international classics and twists on them, like their take on a French 75 with Tanqueray 10, lemon juice, Italicus, and Prosecco.”" - Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz is a writer and editor based in Rome. The hotel offers not just a majestic view of the city, the bay and the volcano but also impeccable service. The welcome aperitivo at the rooftop was precious. Breakfast with an immense selection of pastries, cheese, cold cuts (including fish), fresh fruits, and more plus a view. The rooms are bright and ample, the washroom has many amenities and a great shower. All clean!|Rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy at night because of the Vespas going back and forth. |I left in the middle of the night and they had a superb box breakfast prepared for me - including all those lactose-free items I mentioned the night before.

The hotel is a wonderful building with great views at the top across the bay of Naples. Unfortunately the renovation, whilst spotless, has rather garish colour scheme across the main walls. So be it. My room on the third floor had wonderful proportions, and the bathroom shower is effective. The only drawback to the design of the room is that there are no drawers in which to put clothes in, unless you stretch very high and reach one shelf at the top of the hanging cupboard. Bed was very good. Breakfast is on the top floor which has a wonderful view and very large roof terrace to sit at. This is the highlight of the hotel. The gym in the basement is also top notch in terms of design. The staff were very courteous and professional.

Wow. This was a surprising gem of a hotel in Naples. Conveniently located near the airport, this hotel has a fabulous view overlooking Naples. The accommodations were excellent, with friendly staff, a beautiful room and a great restaurant and rooftop lounge. The hotel is fairly new and it showed. It was clean, modern and spacious. Access to downtown Naples and its varied neighborhoods was a short walk from the hotel. We booked this due to its proximity to the airport as we were flying out the next morning. We surprisingly got a lovelyl hotel that was nothing like most "airport" proximity hotels we've booked before.

We usually book hotels through Mr & Mrs Smith, but their Naples option was fully booked, so we decided to try this Hilton Curio. The hotel looked recently renovated and advertised a rooftop pool, which sounded perfect.||Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. For a rate of around $500 per night (prepaid online), we expected at least a welcoming atmosphere and a smooth stay. Instead, we were surprised with not the usual extra charges. The pool, which was one of the reasons we booked, was not included and cost €55 per person for just 3 hours. I have traveled extensively and have never encountered this before. When we declined, they immediately offered it at half-price, which made it feel like an upsell rather than a genuine charge.||Check-in was uncomfortable — no seating at the front desk, no concierge (so all recommendations came from the front desk, but were not professional), and there was constant pressure to prepay breakfast for a “better rate.”||Our room had a nice view and a small balcony, but also a Murphy bed (very unusual for the price point) and a coffee machine that had to be replaced three times — it simply did not work. Water bottles were never replenished. The hotel is not near cafés or pizzerias, so these little inconveniences really mattered.||At $500 a night, we expected a proper luxury experience — at least a good bed and some sense of hospitality. Instead, we left feeling unwelcome and frankly, scammed.

This hotel is outstanding! After a very long trip in Europe, having stayed in some nice and not so nice places, this hotel was a PERFECT final resting place before our flight out of Naples. I have found that hotels in the EU that claim to be 5 star hotels, are not always so by American standards. But this one did not disappoint. The artistic touches and quality and thoughtful (and even technological) finishes made for a luxurious stay. And they really won me over with linen hotel slippers and sheets, keeping with the theme of a clean, natural, and luxurious way of life!! The gym was also very well equipped for those who have that interest, and the rooftop bar hosted a live pianist on the night of our stay, adding to a calming and welcoming all around experience. I could go on and on, but I definitely recommend this hotel during your stay in Naples!

This is an excellent hotel with a majestic view of the Bay of Naples and the waterfront. The updated rooms are spacious and comfortable and the rooftop restaurant and bar are first class with unique menu selections that please the palate. The service is outstanding with attentive waiters and bartenders. The chef even comes out to speak with the guests. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.

This was an amazing experience!! The front desk staff was probably the nicest I have ever talked to. They were super accommodating! I booked massages here as well which were a little pricey, but let me tell you this was the best massage I have ever gotten in my life. The spa area was okay but the massage made it worth it—ask for Virginia, she is a miracle worker! Also, we went to dinner at Macphersons (rooftop restaurant) and it was absolutely amazing. They had just redone the menu and told us we were the first to have it which was very cool. It was amazing food and service with super reasonable prices for how elegant and Michelin-star the food was, and the view was perfect! I celebrated my engagement here and highly recommend. Will absolutely be back again!!

Have stayed in a variety of hotels and this isn't 5 star. The lady at check in was friendly and welcoming, which was a nice start, but that's the positives for the staff. Everyone else I came across could barely be bothered to raise a smile, even the doorman could hardly seem to bring himself to say hello. The location is also not good, quite far from the centre and transport options outside of taxis are limited. It was a bit of a trial to travel back to if you just wanted a rest late afternoon.||Room was fine, but nothing exceptional. Housekeeping was basic effort, a hole in the duvet cover wasn't changed in three days, and they don't even restock the free bottle of water. Strange lighting system means the switch to turn off the bathroom light is by the bed. Room could be noisy at night due to traffic outside, even on the 4th floor. Breakfast was just okay, serving tinned fruit is very odd for a 5 star, and again the staff were rather uninterested.||My real problem was the inflexibility on my having to unexpectedly check out two days early to travel home for an emergency. The hotel refused to budge at all on keeping two full days of room charge, or 40% of my charge. Accepting that this wasn't the hotel's fault, nor mine, hoping for some level of decency from a 5 star hotel in a challenging situation was badly misjudged. When I return to Naples, I wouldn't consider staying here again.
