A great place to hang out with friends or spend some time. It’s an old fire station that has been repurposed into a community-like space. The atmosphere here is great, accounting to that is the fact that there’s always people here. They have the usual selection of beers and other drinking options and a nice selection of bites to eat. The food is ok, nothing special but made with fresh and high quality ingredients. Overall a good place to spend some time in Maastricht.

Former fire station turned to be a stylish restaurant a la Maastrich style. The menu is solid, the drinks sophisticated and the service is efficient. Spacious and also outdoor seating.

Airy, bright restaurant with delicious food served in generous portions. Service is very slow and some parts of my order were forgotten.

Good brunch spot in Maastricht (not the best, check my profile for the best 😉) Service is a bit slow but the staff is very friendly. I loved the creativity in the dishes, I recommend the halloumi dish and the watermelon juice! The cheesecake is ok.

Tried this place multiple times during both lunch and dinner hours. Lunch they have multiple choices for Brezel sandwiches & Sourdough. Dinner they serve different main dishes covering different type of proteins. I especially like their Tuesday Schnitzel special. Fish is not common on the menu but it tastes fantastic too. Not to mention this place is also offering vegetarian dishes too! Overall, good food, chill vibe, excellent space. Worth a visit.

It's one of my favorites in Maastricht. Food is to die for, from starters to desserts. It starts well when, after ordering, they give you a warm sourdough bread basket with olive oil and salt flower. I was already happy with this, but then a feast started. Everything is well thought, with mediterrean flavours and beautiful ingredient combinations. The setting has a cool, industrial, 60's vibe to it. They are understaffed, but service is smooth and unpretentious. Cocktails are spot on and beer selection is also on point. There is really nothing negative to say about this place. Just go and repeat.

Local hangout and menus are not in English but it's not difficult to order. Food is fresh and very local flavor.

A little off the beaten path, but oh so worth a visit. I've been craving that glass of wine for a while, so I needed no convincing when a friend suggested going here for drinks on a Friday night. And I've always wanted to try out the Brandweerkantine. I can report back, it's worth a visit. The place is spacious, so you don't need to listen in on your neighbor's conversation, with some comfortable sofas and chairs. They have an extensive drink menu, with beer, wine and some cocktails. The service took their time with us and accommodated any special wishes without hesitation. I went for a glass of the Tempranillo after their recommendation and was very happy with my choice. Later in the evening, it seemed like you had to walk up to the bar to order, but I'm not too thrown off by that. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will be back to try their food.

This place was great! I ordered the falafel and have to say it was super delicious. The atmosphere is also very modern, chic, and a little bit hipster. The space has a warehouse meets trendy thrift store vibe - and I love it. The only aspect that was lacking a bit is the service. Our waitress was quite nice, but they are slow and more drinks are hard to get. If you are in Maastricht though, I suggest you check it out.

Great place for having a lunch in Maastricht. My pitta with entrocote was delicious, the service was nice and the price for a lunch is really affordable.

De Branweerkantine offers a great space for eating and meeting up with friends. The food was just excellent. I recommend also checking out their webpage and Facebook since they are constantly organising events such as movie nights, ping pong tournaments and vintage markets.

This place is fantastic and off the beaten path. They have a number of fresh sandwiches and pita available for lunch (including a great falafel) as well as a decent coffee and bar menu. What is more, this place is large enough that you don't feel guilty taking up a table reading or studying. So, whether you're looking for lunch, dinner, or just a place to chill, I'd definitely check it out!
