De Eend (The Duck)

Having come here on recommendation, I am sad to say I really wouldn't be able to pass on my own recommendation. Table service was slow at times but short wait time for meals. The price charged didn't reflect in the portion sizes nor the quality. Other meals may offer a better experience but I wouldn't recommend the Doeloe - entire meal was finished within 5 minutes and I'm not a quick eater (for example: menu suggests pineapple - image shows the smaller than quarter of pineapple supplied which seems odd.) Atmosphere was great, cosy inside with plenty of gentle lighting and offering to take your coats.

Our table was outside, right by the dock with a great view of the lake. I had duck prepared in a tomato sauce and veggies. My wife had “Ducky”, which was duck breast medallions topped with a sauce. Both were excellent as was the service with a comfortable, unpretentious atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant to visit on a warm day and enjoy views over the lake. Plenty of seating outdoors and indoors. Excellent service and good tasting food

Nice cosy Restaurant on the water, friendly and helpful staff. The Menu has a nice variety of comfort food and a good kids option as well plus some nice deserts.

De Eend is one little jewel between lakes. The place is as authentic as it gets, the stuff is awesome, the food is fun and tasty... Some portions are huge (main courses). We especially liked the lamb, the carpaccio with foie gras and the onion soup. The venue is correct, could benefit from a bit of painting, deep cleaning and updating but on this waterfront location it's acceptable. I would definitely recommend it and will come back.

It's a Beautiful place with lovely staff that a very friendly. Food was amazing. Great flavour !!!! Loved the taste of all the stuff I tried. We will definitely be back. 👍

Great food, most duck related (why?) But I had a pan full of mussles and they were fantastic! Family choose different but also very good. Love to visit again.

Nice place, welcoming staff and available parking. The salad was great, but not the meat. Overrated.
