Beautiful windmills to get the essence of Amsterdam short train ride from the city. A nice place to walk around cost money to go into the windmill. Lots to see a nice walk for a couple of hours.

Loved this Windmill in Ansterdam. Located in the outskirts of city centre but a lovely walk along the canals. Cafe and in-house brewery make it unique.

A nice little 40-minute walk from the city center. If you want to see a real active windmill, this is the only one around for miles. It's worth the walk and to stop at the cafe below for a drink and snack.

Cool place with good beer ❤️

Google
Free windmill to visit, right in the main road, easy to get to. Not sure if you can go inside 🤔 Bar, brewery (with tours at the weekend) and cafe underneath.

Yelp
This is a must visit place for tourists. Pretty cool area to hang out, get some beer tasting going with some snacks. It's relatively close to an air port. There's another bar right beside it, so you have a side option if you're not a beer lover. We tasted some nice cocktails and would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Five stars because its historical. We rode our bikes here, got off the bikes, took a picture and kept it moving. If your hungry there is a cafe next to the bottom half.

Yelp
A real windmill in the center of Amsterdam? Yep! This windmill (built in 1814) is located just outside the city center and easy to reach by bike or tram. Unfortunately you can't visit the mill but it's a pretty picture and it's next to brewery '' Brouwerij 't IJ' and cafe/restaurant Lagendijk :-)
