De Grendel Wine Estate and Restaurant

Without a doubt, the BEST winery estate we went too… by a margin. The food was exceptional, cannot rate the service enough - before we even thought we needed something the offer was there. The chardonnay and bubbly the best I had, the duck was exceptional. The service was really one of the highlights - thank you to Fiona. THAT bread and amuse bouche - so good. And I really appreciate the glasses and how cool the beverages were, little details make a big difference. Will be coming again for sure!

I recently dined at De Grendel and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The pork belly starter was a standout — perfectly prepared with tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat and a beautifully crispy exterior that added the ideal contrast in texture. The beef fillet was equally impressive. Cooked to perfection, it was incredibly flavourful, rich, and balanced, showcasing real attention to detail in both preparation and seasoning. Service throughout the evening was excellent as well. The staff were attentive, professional, and made the experience feel effortless. Overall, De Grendel delivered a memorable fine-dining experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional food paired with great service.

Excellent overall restaurant experience : lunch on a Sunday is highly recommended, especially with family or friends. We were 8 and all left very happy. Food (great menu choices, my choice of camembert soufflé starter and linefish main course were top quality. Wine : great (we took a few boxes home) as well as the service (everyone kind and attentive), the venue atmosphere and the view are all nothing less than wonderful. Always lovely to see a gorgeous wine cellar as part of the restaurant architecture. Definitely will return. Ample parking close by and accessible for wheelchairs.

The interior is both beautiful and easy on the eye, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable culinary and wine experience.

This wine farm is nothing short of magnificent! The wines are divine! The view is spectacular and over all the experience is just amazing! Staff are accommodating and friendly. Despite it being really busy at times. Definitely in my top 3 wine farms in CPT.

For my birthday, we were blessed with a fine dining lunch experience at De Grendel - I only have top 5 star ratings. Everything was just so impressive - the setting, the views, the professional and personalized service, the ambience- and then the food was just next level!! Memories forever, thank you.

We had Christmas in July hosted by Miltons for Pam Golding Properties. Truly an amazing time. The atmosphere and the views were stunning. Lovely time. Food was divine. The staff were professional and friendly. Overall experience was a breathe of fresh air.

Fine dining at its best! My husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here and it was breath raking! Great food, amazing wine, excellent service and stunning views!
