Delicious bakery that serves a delicious chef dinner on Tuesdays. You can’t miss it! It’s a fantastic culinary experience. Italian recipes, everything is delicious! I stayed 2 weeks and went twice! My complements to the chef!

I’ve been a few times over the years because I love the pastries! We just popped in to get pastries to go this time, but the breakfasts are delicious as well (although due to the volume of customers the service can be slow, plan to take your time)! We got a pistachio croissant, an almond croissant, a piece of tiramisu, and a cannolo. Everything tasted good, however if you’re familiar with Sicilian cannoli the ones they have are not the same. Also the croissants didn’t have the texture that maybe would be expected with a slight crispy exterior and a lot of flaky layers. These were chewy. But all yummy!

I stayed in Puerto Viejo for three days and I went here are two out of the three days. It was very convenient because it was close to my hotel. The prices are fair and the food is good! On the second day I went because I was tired of Caribbean food, no shade lol! I had all the rice and beans I wanted to eat in three days. The service was pretty good. I would say don’t come in a rush lol! But I noticed that that’s kind of the culture here. I guess that tracks for a beach town. There are some English speaking waitresses. I think it’s best to at least have some basic Spanish phrases in your arsenal when visiting Spanish speaking countries anyway. I got the Huevo rancheros, Fettuccine Allá Bolognese, And I don’t know what that bread thing was the waitress said it came with the Fettuccine… I think. 😅

Visited twice during my stay in the Caribbean coast. Amazing pastries, beignets and other desserts. Coffee and traditional breakfast served. Had handmade pasta for dinner and it was amazing. Loved it and had to be one of my favorite spots along with El Patty in Limon and Soda Kawe in Cahuita, El sol en Puerto Viejo Good WiFi

My family recently stayed at the residence above the bakery and we absolutely loved the smell of fresh bread baking daily and as well as our trips down to the bakery for one of their delightful treats. We had breakfast, smoothies, pastries, pizza, you name it we tried it and loved EVERYTHING! The staff was friendly and helpful at each visit. We quickly discovered while the locals love this spot and know you will too! Enjoy! Pura Vida!

Yeah, they get five stars for a reason. We slipped in here on a Tuesday night and got some tiramisu that was divine and came back a couple days later for breakfast. ‘Twas a good omelette; my wife got her breakfast “Sammy”; and a generous cappuccino something or another. We’ll get some kind of dessert from here again before we leave.

The food here was amazing and fresh! It was the best breakfast we had in the Caribbean! The staff and service was amazing and everyone was so kind and friendly.

This place is dangerous I cant walk past without going in. The cakes are amazing - all of them. The bread smells divine. The gluten free options are probably the best in Costa Rica. The coffee is addictive. The only thing that let's it down is service is a little slow - even when they aren't busy, but at least you are waiting for food food.
