Stayed here for 4 nights and it was better than expected. The room was air conditioned and nice and cool which was heavenly after spending a day out in the Amsterdam heat. We were provided with robes and slippers. The bathroom comes with shampoo, soap and body wash. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. The location is great, not too close to the centre but lots of places of interest within walking distance. Highly recommend.

We were in the Deluxe Suite room number 18 for four days. It is a really large suite, enough space but unfortunately our stay was not very nice. Unfortunately the beds and towels were only made up for three people. When the service lady made up the sofa bed, we noticed a lot of unhygienic and dirty things. Moldy grapes under a bed, under the beds were not vacuumed, tomato stains on the table, on the wall from the hob and leftover food. The cupboard in the bathroom was broken at the bottom, the hose for the normal hand shower was missing from the shower and the dishwasher stank. We submitted a complaint via the service lady and by email and have not yet received a reply. Poor communication and we were not offered an alternative, although the hotel chain includes eight hotels. There was also no response to the request that we receive compensation for all the shortcomings and time spent. Service and communication as well as room cleanliness very poor.

The rooms and the location of the hotel are very good. Nevertheless, the access to the hotel is very painful as you have to scan a very low-quality QR code that never works the first 5 times you try to scan it. Moreover, at the check-out, we left some items in the room, and they magically disappeared from the room and were never found by either the cleaning personnel or the hotel management.

Travelling to Amsterdam as two young adults this area was brilliant for us two. There is a supermarket only a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. There are some lovely restaurants and bars very nearby too. There is also a tram stop just outside the hotel which is very helpful.|The room itself is a decent size. The beds are very comfy also. Within the room there is a kitchen which is nice when you want to have a chill night in. |The staff are very helpful and room service was often. | |One down side the the QR code which is needed to enter the hotel. There is a help line outside however staff aren't always at the property within the day. ||Overall, this hotel we highly recommend for others and we will be returning.

My qualm is with the lack of compassion. I tried to move a booking 6 days prior to the reservation date due to a death in the family disrupting our travel. I would have been happy to meet in the middle and pay fees et al for moving it, but they are so rigid that despite missing the change date by mere hours we're out of pocket for the entire booking. Note that nobody can help you at this hotel on weekends so a 7 day cancellation window might actually be an 8-9 day window. We've decided to take our money elsewhere. For those that do book this hotel, know that they're a money first, not customer first, organisation. You can probably trust the myriad negative reviews here.

The location was great for us, we found it to be quiet but the centre was easily accessible by tram or could be walked if needed. The desk is not manned 24/7 but often someone could be found on site in the evenings. Staff were polite and helpful. On the first day we were charged twice for the hotel tax and charged again for our hotel fee however a quick call to the hotel and this issue was quickly resolved. I was able to check in in advance of arrival and pay for the city tax in advance. QR code was shared at time on check in. We didn't have any issues using the QR code system. We had a room which had a small kitchen area which was helpful. This included a dishwasher, hob, fridge, microwave and coffee machine/coffee pods. We found this great as there is a supermarket a short walk away. Bed was comfortable, shower was great. Carpet could do with an update and more cutlery was needed but room was clean. Shampoo, body wash and towels provided. I would certainly stay here again.

I definitely DO NOT recommend staying here. The staff was beyond unwelcoming and rude. When we arrived, an old man came to the door and told us we didn't have a booking which was simply not correct. Once we went inside he gave us the key to a different room and we walked in on other guests staying there because he didn't double check any IDs or passports or anything and gave us the key to someone else's room who was already staying there. When we went back down to tell him that the room he gave us the key to already had other guests staying there he was not apologetic whatsoever. Then we finally got to our room which was disgusting and the "king bed" we booked was actually two twin beds pushed together. Also, the key system is a QR code which was incredibly inconvenient because it wouldn't work half the time and was extremely annoying. But, that wasn't even the worst part. On our second night staying there two friends were locked out of their hotel so we let them stay with us in our room. We woke up in bed to two men standing over us (we were all young girls in pajamas/not dressed) kicking us out of the hotel. They told us if two of us didn't leave in 2o minutes then we would all get kicked out. Overall, this hotel is absolutely horrible and I would rather stay in a hostel or literally anywhere else besides this hotel.

We were sceptic after reading the negative reviews, mostly on the QR code and the cleanliness, but decided to give it a shot due to some positive comments. We booked for 5 nights and checked in to room 14 and were relieved the QR code worked. Yet the cleanliness of the room was HORRIBLE! There are old bloodstains on the curtain and the carpet is so filthy and stained throughout the whole room that we did not dare to walk around on socks, let alone bare foot. Because we had a busy schedule the next day, we stayed for the night with the hope that our room being tidied the next day would soften our disgust a bit. Only to come back that night to the same mess. We could not bear to stay another night. Even though we would not be refunded a dime, which hurt even more, we left in the middle of the night to find another hotel. For the price you pay for a stay in this hotel that management has obviously given up on, you can stay in a much nicer hotel in the same area. I rarely leave reviews, but I hope I can prevent someone from making the same mistake we did; it is really as bad as they say it is!
