I am very dissatisfied with my stay at this supposedly 4-star hotel!
Firstly, the room:
Not refreshed for many years. No decoration, not even a painting! 2 lights were not working in the entrance, so the room was very dark, the handle of the window was broken. Closing the window was difficult. The curtain was poorly hung on the rod. The rod itself has never been replaced for years. The curtain is stuck. Forced to close the curtain. In the shower, no seal in the shower head! It leaks!
And the worst part:
no heating in the room! It wasn't a room but a refrigerator. I asked the reception to do something because it is impossible to adjust or even turn on the heating in the room. The receptionist told me she would turn on the heating remotely. But it didn't work. The floor was so cold that it was impossible to stay barefoot or in socks in the room. I was offered another room but smaller, in a noisy courtyard where you can hear ventilation systems running non-stop (I imagine the horror at night) and 2 single beds! When you are a couple, this is not appropriate! I refused the 2nd room and the receptionist promised that a technician would come the next morning to fix the heating. The next day, once the industrial breakfast was consumed, we left the room to take a walk in the city and I went to the reception to report our departure so that the technician could come and do his work.
Back after 4 hours of being out, back to the room, no one had come. I went back to the reception and asked again for action or a supplementary heating.
No repair, no supplementary heating. So, we had to endure a 2nd cold day and a 2nd cold night.
And to top it off: I paid €20 for a late checkout. And the maid was knocking on the door while we were still sleeping! At the time of checkout, I summarized all the problems encountered and asked for a refund of the extra €20 paid because the late checkout was not respected (and then €20 is really cheap for the terrible service throughout the weekend) and it was refused to me!
