First of all, I just want to say the only good thing about this place first, the ambiance is nice. The chairs are comfy and it's generally very cozy, and location-wise, well, it's the center, so yeah, it's pretty nice. I'd heard pretty good things from my friend before coming, so I had my hopes up a bit, but I left very disappointed.
First, when the waitress came over, she handed us the menus and immediately asked for something to drink, no greeting or “how are you guys doing?” Any opening line would do, but we hadn't even touched the menu and we already had to know what to choose. For me, that feels like I’m in a fast-food chain, not a restaurant. Drinks came relatively quickly, which was fine.
Then for the food, we had to wait over 50+ minutes. At some point, we even thought that they forgot to put our food in the system. After the food came, I was just flabbergasted, no fries? Literally no fries? Even restaurants in Amsterdam have fries included for that price. I still can't believe I paid 18 euros for just a burger, and not only that, the bun was cold. And the size of it, not that impressive either.
I came hungry and I left hungry. I feel like I got scammed after leaving this place. Maybe the other food options would have been better, but I won't be coming back to confirm that. And it wasn’t even busy — I swear there were like max two more tables in the whole place.
Overall, I would say this place is good for pictures, but if you actually want to eat a good burger and have good service, just go to McDonald’s or Burger King.
