Great location. Great amenities. Great furnishings. Spotless property & NO PETS policy is a big one for us - we really do not enjoy dealing with smells, etc. from other's dogs. This was our 2nd stay, both very positive. Mandeville is a very cool place with lots of local shopping, restaurants, etc. and of course the lakefront is 1/2 block away.

Exceptional accommodations and warm and welcoming owners. Cindy and Clyde Touchstone made us feel like we were hosting them!! Highly recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed at this sweet B & B and we will certain return for weekend getaways in the future. |It is quiet and cozy with quiet hours from 10pm-7am. The decor and wrap-around porch is beautifully designed for relaxation. Free parking, outstanding restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance plus so many fun outdoor activities in the community. The view from the rooms of the Lakefront is an added bonus! Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast.

Lovely little stay just steps from the beach. Cozy and comfortable. The owners were a delight. We enjoyed several memorable conversations with them both at breakfast and around the grounds. They are extremely knowledgeable about the area. Ask about the local trees, museums and history! The old Mandeville library is across the street (no longer a library), and has a very cute free library out front. I’m sure it could always use a few donated books too! Girod street is within walking distance and has lots of very very cool shops and restaurants. Rips on the lake is insanely good! My husband and I enjoyed the balcony, the ground level outdoor space, the kitchen, and of course our room. We also enjoyed sneaking through the hallway like teenagers at 2 am after we had been out at the lake on a blanket watching the lunar eclipse! The pavilion and historic oak on the lake are both close by!! And the steps to nowhere. Go see. 🫶🫶 The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

We recently spent a weekend in Mandeville for the 1st time and de la Bleau was recommended to us. |This place is Beautiful. Best of all, the owners, Cindy & Clyde, are simply wonderful people. They made the process so easy and gave us great suggestions on places to visit. Everything about de la Bleau, including its owners, is warm and inviting. We will Definitely be back. We recommend that you go see Cindy & Clyde and don’t miss out on the delicious breakfast!!!

Just finished up a stay here and it was wonderful! The house is clean, beautiful and the perfect location of the lake front! It's a must stay for those wanting to vacation or have a quick get away. Everything was fabulous! Highly recommend!

This place offers a big dose of anything you could ever want or need (including quiet and privacy). The only thing that could have made my stay better would have been if the room had been made up every day. I liked the keypad entry to main building and keypad entry to room.

Google
de la Bleau is amazing. Cindy is great. She was super accommodating, very friendly and the breakfast she prepared was delicious. Our family booked all five rooms for a weekend wedding. It was the perfect place to stay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. All rooms have their own private bathrooms. The rooms that provide a minifridge, coffee and snacks ensure you don't have to socialize first thing in the morning if you prefer not to.

Yelp
Staying at this bed and breakfast was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the incredibly well-thought-out "lake motif" decor that seamlessly blended classic elegance with modern comfort. Every corner of the place seemed to have been designed with care and attention to detail, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The lakeside mural in the main seating area left me feeling as though I was right where I wanted to be! It was perfect for conversing, reading and gathering over morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening, The ensuite was nothing short of amazing, offering a level of luxury and space that I hadn't expected, both indoor and outdoor. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect night's sleep after a day of exploring. The room was well-appointed with high-quality furnishings that added to the overall feeling of luxury. But the highlight for me was the large bathroom, which featured both a dual head shower and a large two-person jacuzzi tub. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax in a bubble bath after a long day. And our private outdoor sitting area was quaint and comfortable. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. The quality of the food and the attention to detail in its preparation were evident, making each morning a delightful experience. The location of the B&B added to its charm, being just a half block walk to the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The proximity to the lake allowed for beautiful sunrise, mid-day, and sunset walks along the shore, providing breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy nature's beauty. Additionally, the B&B was conveniently located near a diverse array of restaurants, offering a range of dining options that allowed me to explore different cuisines during my stay. Overall, my stay at this bed and breakfast was truly amazing. The combination of the well-thought-out decor, the spacious and luxurious ensuite, the delicious breakfast, and the perfect location made it an experience that I won't forget. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a high-quality, memorable stay at very reasonable rates. It's a place where every detail is considered, ensuring that guests have an incredible experience from start to finish. Just WOW!!!!

Yelp
Nice family owned Inn one row back off Lake Shore Dr. I was staying on North Shore for business meeting and decided to try something different than the usual corporate hotels. Enjoyed my stay. Very nice place. More like someone's beach home than a hotel. Very well maintained and clean. Comfortable rooms and no shared bathrooms. Basic breakfast included Beautiful neighborhood. A few places to eat or drink walking distance nearby.

Yelp
This B&B is probably the BEST one I have EVER STAYED AT. I travel all over the world and it takes the cake as they say. It's Beautiful near the famous Lake PONCHATRAIN in NOLA., On the North Shore. The place was Impeccable as far as, Cleanliness, No.#1 for me anywhere.! The Hospitality, Professionalism in running an operation as such plus their Kindness, Courtesy, Friendliness, Consideration and Attention to Every detail making sure your stay with these Beautiful people would be Unforgettable in every way it GUARANTEED you would DEFINITELY return a 2nd time. Sorry but I am extremely picky when I go on a vacation and I want the BEST of the BEST and they DELIVERED.!!!!! So take it from an expert and serious traveler , I don't give many really really awesome recommendations. So Time to book your next visit to New Orleans and make a plan to only stay here 1st as they will show you what is truly " SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY " !!!! Have a Blessed Day Ms. Kiki Morel Milwaukee,WI July 21, 2024

Yelp
Beware!!! Do not expect breakfast on Saturday or Sunday for price you pay. Also don't expect a gift card if breakfast not provided. Instead a scratched note left the morning coming down to eat breakfast. It is a nice b&b but not marketed appropriately for price paid.

Yelp
I cannot adequately express how beautiful and charming this B&B is. The owners are so kind and knowledgeable and go to the extreme to make sure that you are as comfortable as can be so that your trip is truly an awesome experience. The rooms are spotless and so beautifully decorated as well as all the common areas. You are only steps away from the lake and the many restaurants and shops near by. We will definitely be going back time and again, thank you Cindy and Clyde, you are the best!

Yelp
Came to the Northshore for time with my family for my birthday. We had such a great time staying here during that visit. Such a peaceful atmosphere. We rented bikes from a place just one block over and road the St. Tammany trace together. Plenty to do and wonderful restaurants nearby.

Yelp
Fabulous Bed and Breakfast! Great attention to every detail! Beautiful, comfortable, spacious common areas, great location, and delicious breakfast! Cindy and Clyde are gracious hosts and Mandeville has so much to offer.

Yelp
I would definitely stay at de la Bleau B&B again. The location was perfect! We walked to the lake, restaurants, and walked to the shops on Girod St. The B&B was well done, fun decor. Owners were friendly and professional. Their hard work for a comfortable stay is evident.

Yelp
This is an amazing option if you want to be in the walkable, relaxing part of old Mandeville. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We plan to come back and stay again at this wonderful spot when enjoying the Northshore. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

Yelp
I chose de la Bleau B&B for my Mom and me to be close to my sister and family for a short visit, after not seeing anyone through COVID. I couldn't have picked a better place! Cindy & Clyde make you feel at home as soon as you walk through their doors. The place is beautiful and SO CLEAN (thank you Susan too!). They were so accommodating and helpful with my Mom (who is 87). I feel like I've know them forever and we will definitely return. Homemade breakfast on the weekend and the cheesy grits, special candies bacon was well worth getting up for! I even worked most days from our room (Simply Suite) and the setup was great. Cindy has everything you need for the best stay in Mandeville! Highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
This is a wonderful, very clean and cozy place to stay. We enjoyed our time so much that we wish we could have stayed longer. Cindy and Clyde are very accommodating, and the breakfast was fabulous. A cute little town to stay in without being in New Orleans. They are one street off from the lake but is easily seen from the windows. I highly recommend staying here. You will absolutely love it.

Yelp
I found this place a few years back while walking near the lake in Mandeville, LA. I told my wife about it and we booked it for next trip to the New Orleans area. We stayed in the Lake Loft it was a fabulous experience, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
de la Bleau. Just saying the name brings a smile to our faces. I can not express just how beautiful this home and the grounds are. My wife and I live just across the lake, but staying in this lovely home feels as though we are states away. You never really know what to expect when you pick a B&B, walking into a stranger's home for the first time. Cindy and Clyde make you feel like old friends or family that you are visiting for the weekend. So close to everything. Walking distance to the lake and wonderful restaurants. Cindy has plenty of literature and vast knowledge on what to do and where everything is located. We planned a romantic dinner at Nuvolari's which is a short walk from de la Bleau. Breakfast was simply amazing. Prepare to over eat. Cindy is a wonderful cook and I constantly crave her secret recipe bacon. I highly recommend de la Bleau for a relaxing getaway and we can not wait to go back.

Yelp
This adorable B&B is right on the Mandeville Lakefront and close to great restaurants, beautiful parks and the St Tammany Trace. It is a great location with so much to do and see in the surrounding area. Old Mandeville is such a quaint place to spend a few days relaxing and de la Bleau is the perfect base. We stayed in the Vert room and it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hosts were so kind and made us feel very welcome. The other couple traveling with us also enjoyed their stay as well. Breakfast was delicious and I will be dreaming about those jazzy grits! I highly recommend de la Bleau if you are looking for accommodations in Mandeville.

Yelp
de la Bleau offers elegant, well-appointed rooms designed with so much love and attention. We stayed in the Orange Room a few weeks back and felt so lucky to have scored such a beautiful, spacious mini-suite that could have easily slept four because the daybed (with a stunning view of Lake Pontrachain ) has a trundle. The home itself is a tranquil oasis with an abundance of gorgeous finishes and exquisite little touches that feel natural vs contrived/overstated. The space was conceived and designed by the proprietors, Cindy and Clyde, with Cindy's vision and elegant sensibility evident throughout. We especially delighted in the delicious hot breakfast - Cindy is a terrific cook! I'm still thinking of the candied bacon, cheese grits, biscuits and sausage gravy. You will not find a hot, full breakfast at any other B&B in Mandeville. (Seriously, there is a tricky local ordinance restricting hot breakfast at the other B&Bs in Mandveille. The others serve continental fare, which I'm sure is perfectly good but nothing beats a hot, freshly prepared southern breakfast!) The many sweet touches of de la Bleau were only surpassed by the hospitality we experienced. I use a wheelchair, so accessibility is a prime driver in travel planning. I emailed every single B&B in town to inquire about accessibility and Cindy responded promptly with detail about hallway clearances, door widths, etc., and took additional photos of the bathroom to help ascertain whether I could comfortably and safely maneuver with my wheelchair. Most of the properties down by the lake are built high up on pillars due to flooding, so an elevator was a must and de la Bleau has a working elevator that goes to all floors. Some of the other proprietors were very upfront that they could not accommodate a wheelchair user, while others who were eager to get the business were less forthright, promising trouble-free access when this was clearly not the case. Cindy was honest about her property and it's limitations. She welcomed a pre-visit by my best friend, who is local, ahead of booking to make sure I felt comfortable. She went the extra step of adding a shower chair and grab bar in the bathroom. We are so appreciative of her efforts! This level of commitment to customer experience sets de la Bleu apart. We only stayed a couple nights, with the rest of our vacation booked at a Marriott property across the lake in New Orleans. Honestly, we ended up wishing to cancel that reservation and spend the entire time in Mandeville, in this lovely home, with these wonderful, warm people. We are frequent travelers and try not to go to the same place twice, but we will most assuredly return to Mandeville and this special B&B!

Dropped by representing the WWII Museum. Gorgeous space and a friendly welcome! Can't wait to send friends their way!

Yelp
We will definitely be back to visit this B&B! Our weekend was so much fun. The hosts made us feel so at home and had tons of suggestions of fun stuff going around within walking distance. We loved every minute of our time at de la Bleau. The accommodations, the breakfast (the BACON), the views were all awesome!

Ron C.

Yelp
My "bride" (of 38 years) and I had an incredible weekend at de la Bleau. The lovely facility is new and super clean. The proprietors, Cindy (aka Chenille) and Clyde are incredible. It is certainly the single best B&B we have ever enjoyed in all our travels. It is a great place to visit whether you are retired, like me, or you are much younger, like the young couple staying overnight on their first anniversary. The location is outstanding, just 1/2 block from Lake Pontchatrain and six blocks from the trail head of the 22-mile rails-to-trail bike path that wanders across the north shore. Fun shopping and antiquing and great views of the lake are available from all locations .... especially when having breakfast and/or coffee on the balcony. Breakfast was the best ever! ( The roasted thick-sliced, smoky bacon is remarkable, to say the least. Fried, then roasted in the oven after being covered in brown sugar and a hint of chili powder! It is worth the stay alone!!) The blueberry pancakes with walnuts with fresh fruit on the side is definitely worth a mention, too. For coffee, they offered a choice of Nespresso and a Keurig. Both offered many flavored or "straight up" coffees. We will be returning soon. Gotta get me some more of that bacon!

Adriana B.

Yelp
We typically stay at hotels when we travel, but this has really set the bar high for B&Bs. The rooms were comparable to a 5 star hotel. The views amazing. Location is central with so much at walking distance. Breakfast was amazing. And owners were wonderful hosts. Highly recommended.

Yelp
What a stunning place. The home and rooms are so beautiful. Everything is fresh, new, and clean. The rooms are so perfectly decorated and not one detail was missed. In every corner of the home there is something unique and interesting to talk about. Particularly how Cindy and Clyde did most of the work themselves and added so much character to a new home. Hand glued pennies line the guest bathroom on the main floor and that's just one small example. The Restaurants, the lakefront and everything you can imagine is all within walking distance. We stayed there for 2 days specifically to enjoy the scenery and bike the Saint Tammany Trace, which is also only a few blocks away. Cindy and Clyde were the most accommodating and engaging hosts we've come in contact with in a long time. They are the type of people you could just sit around with and talk for hours. And wait there is one more thing, the breakfast was outstanding. It was hot and fresh with a variety of options for everyone to enjoy and the smell just filled the house drawing you out of your room. This is certainly a place that you will want to revisit more than once if you are in this area. Thanks again to de la Bleau for making our weekend spectacular.

Clint R.

Yelp
WOW! Wonderful modern amenities with period architecture and charm, located in the heart of Old Mandeville on the shores of Lake Ponchartrain. Cindy and Clyde are great hosts and very helpful with local recommendations and a very warm home setting. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend De La Bleau if your travels bring you through Mandeville.
