Stayed here for our anniversary and it was a good stay. We are local to Chiang Mai so we had a little weekend in the city center. The hotel is great. Really chill pool area. Really good and punctual service with everything. The location is decent and directly in the middle of the square. It is not in a lively section, so some walking or taxi is necessary. Overall one of the best spots in Chiang Mai.

We had four nights in the De Lanna Hotel.|The first room I was shown to was on the 2nd floor. The bed was really low to the floor and there were steps up into the room and down to the toilet. There was also a step down to the balcony. I was a bit worried about the bed height as I knew I would have difficulty getting out of it and the steps were also a concern. I thought that all the rooms were like that but when i went to my companions room I saw that the ground floor rooms had normal height beds and no steps. We went to reception and the staff had no difficulty finding us a ground floor room. |We had lunch in the courtyard a couple of times and it was quite nice. One evening we decided to have dinner but were told that we could only have room service, the courtyard area had been set up for a large group staying at the hotel and there was nothing available to anyone else. It was quite disappointing as we were a small group that wanted to have dinner together not in our rooms.|Breakfast was ok but nothing stands out a being wonderful. |The pool area was nice and there was enough enough sunbeds for the numbers using the pool.|We used the laundry facilities and that worked out great.|There was loads of staff in the hotel and I found anyone that I dealt with very helpful

Just finished a three-week trip in SE Asia and this was by far our favorite hotel we stayed. The location right in the center of Chiang Mai's Old City was perfect, since it was very walkable to many restaurants and temples. The hotel itself was fantastic: the room was large, clean, and very modern, and the pool was great. We spent most evenings relaxing on our private balcony (worth upgrading, since the price difference isn't too larger) and a few days relaxing by the pool. We did not feel the need to pay for the breakfast at the hotel since there are many cafes nearby. It was very nice to have an attached, pool-side restaurant, which made it very easy to enjoy drinks and a meal while lounging near the pool. Not a single bad thing to say about this place, and I would highly recommend it for anyone.

The hotel is in a great location. It is inexpensive and the rooms are okay. We had a room on the 2nd floor that was spacious and had lots of drawers and closet space. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, but that has been the same in all SE Asia hotels.|I would say to bypass the breakfast as it wasn't very good and there are lots of cafes around that serve way better coffee and food!!|The pool and surrounding area is great...but the service is non-existent! There is always at least 3 people working that just stand around in the restaurant. They never come and ask if people want a drink or clear away the empty glassware. We had a pool day and were enjoying a few Chang in the 36 degree weather... and had to go and get our drinks every time. I feel like no one has explained how customer service works.

I spent five days in a hotel here, so I know that the breakfast is normal but delicious. The service staff is bright and friendly. Outside the hotel, I mean outside the fish and pigeon room. cause dirt Every time you are in the room, there will always be a toilet smell from the bathroom. The food is very expensive for two people. I ate 1200 baht per meal and ordered two dishes. The employee sent the wrong menu. The laundry room is a small room at the back. When I do laundry, there is a timer set before the monks finish. When I arrived at the laundry room, my clothes were in a pile outside and dirty. I didn't understand why because I Set time before completion But enough to figure out that it probably should be. Other people's rooms were removed early in order to continue washing after me, which was not yet finished. The pool area is so small that tenants are crowding it. And there is smoking outside, everyone must smell the cigarette smell when going outside the room, so I have to stay in the room all the time. That's what I did during my stay at this hotel. Parking facilities are available. There isn't much parking, only three to four cars, which is not enough for guests while the hotel advertises that there is parking available. I have to worry when I go out for sightseeing and when I return because I fear that there will be no parking and that reversing my car poses a risk of accidents because it is next to a main road. Finally, what I didn't like was the smell of cigarettes outside the room and the smell of a warm toilet in the room all the time. I will say that it is not suitable for elderly people because the floor in the room with just a little water can be slippery and can cause accidents easily and is very dangerous. Even when I walk in wearing socks, it's still slippery, so I'd say it's very slippery.

I was on the ground floor . I wish I had been higher. The room was nice but the hot water was almost non existent. Would have loved to have a bath tub. The room was very comfortable. The old town location was great. Nine years ago I stayed by the Night Bazaar. This location was much better. The front desk workers were friendly and professional and helpful.

This is a good budget hotel. Swimming pool is a good size and room is spacious.Room was a bit dusty (although probably can’t be helped given that chiang mai is so polluted right now).Breakfast is average with the usual selections you would expect.Staff are warm, friendly and polite. convenient location in the old city.

Had high expectations based on reviews and it being a hotel our travel agent listed (which always tend to be good). However, was very disappointed. The entire hotel was grubby. Our room was supposedly 'superior' but I couldn't see why. The bathroom was poky and odd, like it had been squeezed in to a re-configured space as an after thought, and was in much need of decoration. It clearly had been good at some point but had lost it. Breakfast was terrible, we went elsewhere and paid. On New Years eve there was a 'compulsory' gala that felt very Fawlty Towers. Most of the guests seemed embarrassed to be there and couldn't leave quick enough. When we returned later in the night the event was deserted with the exception of staff and a DJ playing to an empty space.|However, the reception staff were very nice and helpful. More likely the problems are down to bad management.
