Visited Puerto Rico years ago and have always missed the food, so I was really excited to hear about this spot here in Nash. I went with a friend and we had a great time. The staff were super friendly, and the place had a really comfy, cozy vibe. We ordered two mofongos, one with pork and one with shrimp. Both were good. The plantains were garlicky and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the shrimp were well seasoned.

the ambiance and vibe of this place is next level. the attention to detail, incorporating Puerto Rico style is awesome. The food is authentic and feels like your abuella cooking. Menu Recommendations - yes. Service is top notch and prices are great. You must visit this restaurant.

5 Star Review!!! I was looking up a place to eat for lunch and stubbled across this place with basically a 5 star review. Let me tell you this may be the best spot i have eaten in the La Vergne/ Smyrna area. The food was excellent, big portions, and prepared with love. But what puts this place over the top is the excellent service. I hardly knew what to get on the menu and needed help. The lovely lady up front took her time and explained what to get and had a smile and great service all the way through. I will definitely be back! ❤️

This very cozy Restaurant, brings you back to PR, very friendly staff, the atmosphere is great. Pictures on the wall makes you feel back home on PR. Family own. So you the warmth of the Staff, 3 generations working together. The food was delicious, with all the great flavors from Puerto Rico!!! Some of the paintings were done by one of the owners… definitely recommended. Will visit again before I go back to Florida.

My pictures truly don't capture it, but the food here is incredible! I stumbled upon this place while traveling through and I'm so glad I did. If you're craving Puerto Rican food, I highly recommend it. I ordered the Alcapurria de Yuca, three empanadillas (chicken, beef, and pizza), traditional arroz con gandules, flan de queso, and a pineapple soda. Every bite was amazing! Also the people are very friendly.

I love this place. It reminds me exactly of a neighborhood restaurant in Puerto Rico. From the atmosphere to the flavors and even the service they've brought a slice of the island to Nashville.

Ordered a dozen pasteles de masa. My son picked them up and drove them down to Georgia for me and they are fenomenal!!! Very very good. Mil gracias! 🇵🇷❤️👍👍

All in all delicious and very authentic Puerto Rican food. The beef and chicken empanadillas were delicious. The tostones with garlic mojito or also very tasty. The pollo a la plancha was ok, however, the rice and beans were fantastic. All the food was served nice and hot and seemed very fresh. The service was decent and prompt. And the ambience of the restaurant is very vibrant and the Spanish music in the background added a lovely touch.

I definitely wanted to love this place. Being from New Jersey we have a plethora of food options and I miss it. The food flavor is just not there for me. We ordered some pastelitos that were filled with oil I wasn't able to taste anything else. That beings said, we do come here on occasion when I am missing my Hispanic food. Still looking to find a good authentic place!

Food was full of flavors especially the beef. I'm not from Puerto Rico so I can't say much about the mofongo other than every time I eat it, it's always dry and lumpy. I mixed it good with my chicken in garlic sauce and it was better. The chicken wasn't the best but my friend had the beef mofongo and the beef was excellent. We both also had the beef stew and it was really good with several beef chunks, veggies and potatoes. It wasn't a huge bowl so I'm glad I order other items. I'm not used to yuca served ice cold so I took it home and heated it up in the oven for dinner. Their juices are sweetened but they did have 3 different types: tamarind, guayava, and passion fruit. I also had the cheese flan and it was pretty good. Also severed ice cold but I enjoyed it. The staff seemed short handed with the young girl working all 20(?) tables during a busy Saturday lunch rush but she did great and remembered everyone's order just fine. They speak English and Spanish. The place was clean with plenty of parking in front or off to the side in the grass area. Just look for the Puerto Rican flag door to enter thru. Lots of art pieces along the walls with Bachata playing to help make you feel like you're on the island. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal and would def come back to try something else on the menu.

I grew up in Puerto Rico and this place is such a vibe. It immediately makes me feel back home. The flavors are legit--this is the real deal, authentic Puerto Rican food. I would go as far as to say it's Abuela-grade good! From the perfectly seasoned pernil to the tender mofongo, everything on the menu feels like a warm hug from home. Highly recommended!

Hole in the wall Puerto Rican Restaurant in the heart of LaVergne, Tennessee on Old Nashville Highway. Everything is hot and freshly cooked with great seasoning. Excellent service and good prices. Lots of people stopped by while I was eating the food. Plenty of parking out front of the building, and the restaurant is on the right side of the building, left door.

This little gem just opened in LaVergne Tennessee and is well worth checking out. The interior is very clean and can accommodate those who want to dine in. The food. OMG people, the food is amazing! I dont even know where to start because I ordered way more food than I could ever eat but I had to try a little bit of everything. It is all made from scratch daily and you can tell with every bite you take. My favorites were the homemade hummus, the loaded garlic feta cheese fries (best fries I have had in ages), and the chocolate molten cake. Those three items literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate cake was the best I have had since California Pizza Kitchen removed their Banana Royal Chocolate cake from the menu years ago. The tastes of the food at Cornerz will leave customers returning for more. Customer service and cleanliness was also top notch. And the prices are wonderful! Middle Tennessee needs places like Cornerz. I could go on and on about my five star experience today. Cant wait to see more wonderful reviews on here about this eatery.

Finally un verdadero restaurante Puertorriqueño. La Dueña súper amable y muy atento a todo q esté en orden sus staff súper atento y la comida pq de eso es q vinimos y ustedes leen los review..... 1. La comida como dice en la isla está en la madre uffff auténtico comida Boricua desde las frituras hasta sus especialidades de platos este cocinero(@) es un chef de veldad 2. El lugar súper acojedor con una típico toque puertorriqueño muy agradable súper limpio 3. Los precios sobre todo acá en usa nosotros los bóricas lloramos por todo aquí de veldad se come riquísimo y un precio razonable Se los recomiendo a todos es mi restaurante favorito y se que será el de ustedes también

Este restaurante tiene buena comida pero es servicio de delivery es pesimo te envia la comida incompleta luego llamas y ellos son muy pedantes y lo unico que te dicen es que no saven que hacer son lo mas malo si pides un delivery. Ordene un mofongo con carne frita y me llego el mofongo solo con ensalada y la contestacion de ellos acia mi es la empleada no savia que era con carne frita y del lo que ya pagastes ni se diga ya lo puede uno le doy un 0/10 en ordenes online.

Excelente comida y buen servicio! Recomiendo el sándwich de pernil, el mofongo, la carne guisada, todo es súper rico.

This place is awesome. It does take a little while for the food to be prepared, but it is freshly made. I got the Philly beef and Swiss wrap. Better than ANY PBS sandwich I have ever had. My wife got the gyro. Again, just great. Prices are very reasonable and the folks running it are super nice. I would say that this is Mediterranean food with an American flare. Whatever your taste is, I'm sure you can find it at Korners Kitchen....

This restaurant has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. They have an amazing food selection and it's delicious. This is my first review ever on Yelp. I had to show them love. Went yesterday and had the mix gyro & chicken burrito and the loaded garlic feta fries and both were absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back soon!

I had a bacon cheese burger, it was really good. He even grilled my onions for me. The place was clean which I appreciate. Would go again!

Amazing gyro, the tabouli was incredible. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and enjoyed it, as well. The staff was so pleasant, they genuinely seemed to care about making others happy with their food. The baklava was massive, it had a great flavor, the phyllo wasn't crispy though.

Growing up in Puerto Rico, I miss authentic Puerto Rican food. Finally found some in Nashville. Mofongo was really good and the pizza empanadilla took me back to my youth. While the Bistec Encebollado was not the best, the flavors were amazing. Tostones and arroz con gandules were amazing. All together great food, clean restaurant and friendly service. I will be back.

I grew up where Puerto Rican food was all around and was surprised at how few are in this area. Needless to say, I was excited to find this restaurant. It exceeded expectations and I visit often. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The food is always fresh and the establishment is well kept! Definitely recommend.

I finally got to taste the mofongo at this restaurant. I was not impressed at all the pictures looks better than what it tasted. The place is nice and clean but staff wasn't welcoming at all. We told them it's our 1st time there and they were just ready to take our order and didn't give any recommendations and didn't even tell us about their buffet. We all placed the order for mofongo with shrimp, with chicken and steak. The sauce it's supposed to be garlic and there was no garlic taste at all. The steak was horrible that we didn't even eat it. They put all this vegetables on top of mofongo. The mofongo is also supposed to have pork in it but maybe found 2 or 3 pieces. Very disappointing and everyone in my party felt the same way. Being from Puerto rico and Dominican republic we know how real authentic mofongo supposed to taste and unfortunately this restaurant isn't the place. I'm sorry to say don't recommend this restaurant

Love this place! Food is cooked to order and delicious. Portions are more than enough; I always have leftovers. And the people are super friendly. I asked about an item that I didn't see on their menu and they told me to call ahead before I came next time and they would make it special just for me! Now THAT is superior customer service. Highly recommend. Don't be "turned off" by the exterior of the building or the small parking lot. You will be thankful you chose to go inside and dine here.
