De Vos is very centrally located in the centre of capital city Suva. Many shops, eateries, restaurants, food courts and wet market are within walking distance. Most convenient to go catch a city bus or long distance bus (for instance to Nadi Airport) at the bus terminal. All rooms have ocean view, those on one side enjoy the Sukuna Park view, the others on the other side Suva City view and Harbour view. The building was formerly YWCA Hotel, therefore rather old and dated, and the hotel is constantly under renovation and repairs. Hence guests may need to exercise patience. Internet is provided on request especially for guests staying for business.

Felt the vibe of this place as i entered the reception to check in. The reception was dirty and the room behind the reception appeared similar to prison cell. The rooms are quite ordinary and smelly, with holes in the walls. No linen and the bedsheets and pillow cases were dirty., The shower door handle is broken, and the sink tap is damaged. The AC didn’t have a remote, so I had to go all the way downstairs to get it. The room didn’t have bath towels - another trip to sown to collect them. The floor is extremely slippery, ware work boots, slippers, or barefoot always slippery due to cheap tiles. The same tiles in the shower and bathroom with wet feet and soap, feels like sliding down on a slope. The elevator was like from World War II — the doors close before you can enter or exit, and I had to manually push the door open to get in. The only good thing i have to say about this place is location, its closet everything. But the location is nothing to do with the service being offered.

I definitely wouldn’t stay at this place again. I over paid for absolute crap. The lift wasn’t working and television in the room wasn’t working. The rooms were run down and smelt. Things broken and falling apart wherever you looked and had cockroaches running around. (What you see and read online isn’t what you get.)

Munted experience. Leaking air conditioner, mould, blood stained sheets, no pillow cases, pillows older than me, no duna, no stars. Room keys work universally for different rooms, hotel staff randomly burst into your room for no reason, the list goes on. Don’t stay here unless you want to contract some sort of disease.

Great location and Justin on the front desk was nice. but the room was pretty munted. Beds not made up, big cockroaches, dirty balcony that was unusable. And when I turned the bathroom lights back on it shorted out all the lights except the bedside lamp. So we just gave up and sat in the dark. Otherwise the room seemed pretty clean though.

this is my only Negative review ever, I've saved it for this place.||||An absolutely horrible unclean, smelly and putrid environment. There are plenty of places to stay in Suva with great hospitality and cleanliness. ||||Give this place a miss. The only good thing about it is the location in town. The air conditioner was filthy and not working anyway, there was build up and grime on the floors, linen was stained and dirty, insects scurrying around, the lift was ancient and unpredictable (used the stairs, but the overwhelming smell of urine nearly sent me into another dimension, I didn't know where I would end up opening the door). Overall filthiness is exceptional if this is your fetish.||||The staff not helpful at all, slow, rude and ignorant. Just sitting around like they own the place, all logged into the WIFI and heads down on their phones. I've lived in Fiji for years, it' s bad by their own standards. The staff are running the show here, charging double for non locals at reception. This is my personal experience, lucky for me my wife is Fiji Indian, in which the price automatically resumes back to the advertised price.||||Fiji is known for it's exceptional hospitality, De Vos on the Park misses the mark on this.

Perfectly situated in the heart of Suva center, the hotel offers large size rooms with unbeatable view on the Ocean and Port. The staff and management are extremely nice and helpful making the atmosphere and the stay very pleasant. Great place for businessmen having scheduled meetings in the center as for families due to the size of the rooms coming with multiple beds. I highly recommend it as the De Vos hotel is an excellent value for money.

I would have to give this place a very positive review as my experience has been fantastic. The front counter staff and manager are both incredibly friendly and helpful (Loreena and Ryan). They ensured that my stay in Suva was a great one as they do take pride in going above and beyond to take care of their hotel customers. ||||I had gotten ill (which was in no way due to the hotel whatsoever) and the hotel staff have been very accommodating in providing me with market fresh fruits, smoothies, grocery foods, and dinner takeouts. I recovered quickly and it's all thanks to the staff taking good care of me.||||The location is very central and an ideal location to everything. It is a few minutes walk to either the central bus station, waterfront, Fiji Airways for flight booking changes, Vodafone for cell phone access, and many good restaurants like Ashiyana for Indian food. Walk ten minutes south and you're at the famous Grand Pacific Hotel and Fiji Museum. ||||Despite some of the negative reviews from other folks, I feel that their expectations are way off as bear in mind that De Vos on the Park is truly one of the cheapest places in town. If they wanted nice European/North American hotel standards, then they should stay at the Holiday Inn or Grand Pacific Hotel for three times the price of De Vos. De Vos is a good bang for your buck with very big rooms, and comes with a nice working AC unit to chill the bedroom and entire living room area. The hotel does need some minor aesthetic updates but it doesn't take away the fact that the rooms are big and affordable.||||The hotel staff also practice good Covid measures by ensuring that the hotel staff and customers are safe. Never had any issues here at all. I've been to other hotels in Nadi in which the staff don't wear any masks or practice social distancing, and so it was nice that De Vos was doing its global part to keep me safe. I would stay here again for sure!
