Google
We were traveling around town and did a search for lunch, Dead End Trading Post came up. Nice change from the same ole places. Food was good, atmosphere was really cool. Server Alex, she was awesome. Very kind and helpful. The hot homemade pickles were delicious and Hot!! Nice change of place. Would recommend better air-conditioning other than that. 5 ⭐'s

Google
Our first time to eat here was great. Small, hole-in-the-wall, off the beaten path place with good food, quiet atmosphere, great service and amazingly tasty homemade spicy pickles. Our server, Misty, keep our cups full of tea, checked on us frequently, was super friendly and shared a love of lots of butter on a baked potato. Go check it out. They are pet friendly so we will go back with our pup.

Google
Food was delicious and the restaurant and decor was really nice with a old western town feel, but we had to wait over an hour for our food. And when we arrived for lunch there was only one other party there. People that came after us were getting their food before us. They did offer us a free dessert for having to wait so long at least. And the brisket and baked potato were really good and a great value for how much food you got. That kinda made up for the whole wait. We also really enjoyed the banana pudding.

Google
Amazing Food and Amazing Service! Definitely recommend the chopped brisket which was the right combination between fat and meat. The ribs were great as well. All sides were pretty solid. The only side I was not sold on was the green beans but the rest I can definitely recommend. And the desserts were also really yummy! Alex was our amazing server who was fast, extremely helpful and extremely kind. So definitely giving props to her. Definitely will come again when we come back to visit!

Google
Our meals and service, and prices were excellent. Misty was so kind and attentive. Our food was out quickly and everything tasted delicious! We had the loaded brisket nachos and a two meat combo with jalapeño cheddar sausage. It is hard to find good banana pudding, but this was great! We have already made plans to come back soon! Highly recommend!

Google
I cannot recommend this place enough! I was looking for a place to host my daughter’s graduation party and this place was perfect! The restaurant was so easy to work with, even when I didn’t know how many students were coming. Our waitress, Natalie, was able to handle our group with ease. The food was sooo good and the venue was perfect. We set up in the outside space which had fans and shade. Thank you for helping us have a perfect graduation party!!

Google
A-MAZE-ING! Awesome barbecue and scenery. We had visited before they changed ownership and name, & it was kinda cool, now it’s fantastic! We went on a Sunday afternoon, a few patrons inside, we love outside patios, which brings me to atmosphere. It has a small stage for live music, lots of tables (some long for groups, some intimate & round), a large yard for corn hole and playground for the kiddos. I love the old west theme. Christie, our server was great! She was attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Good beer selection (cans only) served cold, food was served fast, hot & was absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! We will be back!

Google
I went in a Sunday night, and unfortunately a lot of the menu was sold out (I was told Thursday is the best time to come - that’s 1st day of their week). No worries though- I did have the chopped brisket sandwich which was really good. In hindsight I should’ve ordered a second one. And the banana pudding dessert was also very good - maybe the best I’ve ever had. I enjoyed the waitress and atmosphere was cute Texas BBQ style. And the frozen margarita was strong, so be careful ordering the second one.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! I hosted my husband's retirement party at the restaurant in late April. The venue decor reminds me of TexasLand at Six Flags...sort of a Mine Train Vibe, really cute. There is both indoor & outdoor seating . The owner, Robert, and the Manager, Debbie were very flexible & a true pleasure to deal with. Our servers, Christy & Misty, provided great service throughout! Our baked potato buffet was yummy & the beer was ice cold, cheap & served with a can coozie. I am still receiving calls & texts from guests who say they had a lot of fun! My husband & I already have plans to meet up with some other couples at the DETP on a night they have live music...

Yelp
Excellent BBQ, cold beer, staff was amazing and attentive , we had the ribs and brisket . Both meats were very tender and well flavored. Great place to watch live music, sound system was excellent for the band. Great place to watch the sunset too. We will certainly return.

Yelp
Staff and owner were super friendly on our first visit last Sunday. I did not take pictures but our experience was great. We will go back for the live music. My husband had BBQ baked potato. He said it was really good. The sauce and brisket were delicious. I had an old fashioned thick smoked bologna sandwich with yellow mustard and cheddar cheese and Fritos ! I'm drooling now just thinking about it. They serve cold beer in bottles or cans. No beer on tap. They also had spicy pickles they gave you to munch on. Everything is fresh. It is at a dead end road but it's a cool place. Bon appetite!

Yelp
Just wanted to get some ribs since it had been quite a while, was cruising top down around the shores of Lake Worth and Google found this spot for me and it was a perfect match! The ribs were spot on.. tender, good bark, really good flavor with a nice sauce on the side.. more than I was hoping for. The cold can of beer came in a koozie.. good move. Thanks Dead End [7.11.25]

Yelp
This is such a super cute/unique spot! Thry have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoors is decorated like an old western town, so neat! I use to come here all the time when it was Bohannan Ranch and loved it. Hadn't been back since it changed hands and became Dead End Trading Post. The kid and I are on our "D" restaurant, so we decided to stop in and get some breakfast. I ordered the breakfast bowl which comes with biscuit, eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and cheese. The portion was huge so I only ate about 1/4 of it! It was yummy though! Kid ordered the breakfas6 burrito which he told me was very good between all his mmmmhhmmmss. The burrito also came with home fries. I would like to come back and try their lunch/dinner sometime. They don't have a soda machine, so you'll be paying $2.50 for each can of soda. They also sell beer, wine, and seltzers, but no liqour. They also have live music, not sure of the specific days though, so check their website or FB.

Yelp
The biggest turn off was that it's located in an RV park... it was a long drive for us, coming from Decatur so for it to be located in an RV park was really disappointing. The food was okay. Brisket was dry. Beer was warm. Service was decent (nice just slow). We won't personally go back nor recommend it

Yelp
Just visited the dead End Trading Post for the first time -- a WONDERFUL experience! The BBQ was really good, not dry or oversmoked as some are. I had the sliced beef sandwich, my friend had the chopped beef. These sandwiches were on 5 inch rolls and LOADED with meat. They were accompanied with delicious mustard potato salad (other choices were also available for your side). To wash it down, they offer many choices of (canned) beer -- no draft or glasses. Your beer choice is presented in a cousie, something I have not seen before. The wait staff is very friendly, giving you the feeling they REALLY want you to return. We also had banana pudding for dessert, the best I've had in a long time. The ambiance was perfect for an old style BBQ & bar restaurant -- wooden tables and chairs throughout. Just like you would expect -- not shiny and sterile like so many are these days. Thank you all at Dead End. I'll definately be back soon.

Yelp
This place is the bomb ! My husband had ribs, brisket and sausage with beans and potato salad and banana pudding for dessert. I had a brisket sandwich, a salad with blue cheese dressing, and a loaded baked potato. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Misty was our waitress. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back.

Yelp
This place has an awesome vibe. It is on the outskirts of Fort Worth - the views of the country to the West are stunning. Good food, great atmosphere, beautiful location, and friendly service. I highly recommend this place for lunch or for a get together with friends on a weekend. We all had a great time!

Yelp
I went yesterday with my son and fiancé. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was laid back and filled with Texas hospitality. We played football bingo and they had a poker tournament going as well. They only sell beer and not liquor but you can bring your own bottle and they'll give you bottle service for a small charge. Very Texan place to go.

Yelp
This place was so unbelievably underwhelming that I couldn't believe it had a 4.9 stars: to start off we came into for father's day and the customer service was meh at best, waitress look like she had Thursday or Fridays Makeup on still and just had rolled out of bed. to start off with the food the brisket queso was very mid, was not hot but wasn't cold and brisket was solid in it. moving to the entrees the brisket and ribs were super rough and so overly smoked that i couldn't bare to take another bite, left the feeling of strep throat and on top of that i think it could've classified as a lethal weapon with how rough it actually was. the sides were bad... mac n cheese was soupy and had no flavor and the potato salad was damn near like candy with how sweet it was. place was super cute and the vibe was nice until we actually sat down. If you live locally i suggest driving farther for some good BBQ because this was not it at all.

Yelp
Loaded brisket nachos were off the chain! Service was great...food came out quick. Reasonably priced menu. First time here and will definitely be back.

Yelp
We have a friend that lives in the RV park. So we visit often. The food and service are outstanding. We had quite a few of the menu items. I love the loaded brisket nachos and the bbq bologna sandwich are 2 of my favorites. Their queso is the best mu husband loves the phili cheese steak quesadilla and the rattlers (a stuffed jalapeño wrapped in bacon. And I can't forget the banana pudding. It is phenomenal. Every server makes you like family. We also like to go for the Cowboy Football Bingo. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Great bbq and such a fun unique atmosphere. Staff was so friendly. Try the riddlers! Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
We found this place not knowing what to expect but found a gem. The atmosphere was great and the food was wonderful especially for the price. Will definitely return.

Yelp
I had the 3 meat plate with brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. The plates have generous portions. The food is so good you'll definitely want a to go box for leftovers. I had the black berry cobbler for dessert. It was definitely worth it! What makes this place stand out is that they take pride in their customer service, and it shows. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend stopping by!
