We discovered our propane heater was not working at our camp the day we were supposed to return home from our vacation. I called Dead River and I was told that since it was considered a “no heat” situation, they would send a technician over that day. We had a long drive ahead of us to get home, so fortunately Dead River called back within a half an hour and said the technician was on his way. Jack arrived, and he is an extremely personable and knowledgeable young man. We were very impressed with his thoroughness, his communication, and his great personality. He was able to diagnose the issue with our heater and advised us on the best solution. The heater was 20 years old and the replacement parts needed were hard to find and expensive - and it would just be putting an expensive Band-Aid on a system that was going to fail sooner than later. Jack is an asset to your company and it is encouraging to see young people working in the trades!
We were hoping to get the heater replaced before we had to close the camp up for the winter which means pulling out the water. The team at Dead River was able to locate a replacement heater and schedule a day when we could go up at a reasonable time, as it is a long drive to get there from home.
We were given a window of 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM for the installation to begin. Dustin called at 12:30 to apologize for what he considered running late, and I reassured him he was well within his two-hour window and even if he wasn’t, I understand that things can happen at jobs to cause delays. Dustin arrived within the hour and was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I was told the installation would most likely take four hours and they were able to complete it in just under two hours due to his expertise.
Mac was the other technician who came for the installation. He is being trained and mentored by Dustin, and they have an excellent teamwork approach. Both Mac and Dustin were personable, engaging, and I like to have fun, so we even had some laughs together!
I don’t understand why Google will only let you do one review per company? I have encountered this before with other companies that I have used for different services and wanted to give a good review for each service within the company. I would like to have done a separate review for Jack, Dustin, and Mac as they all deserve one - as each one of them is an asset to your company - but since I can only do one review, I put them all together.
