Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa

We loved our hotel room overlooking the Dead Sea, spa services and breakfast buffet dining while being at this resort for 3 days. They did an incredible job with the holiday decorations and their staff were very welcoming and friendly. Dinner at Champions (sliders, fries and salad all were fresh and flavorful), il Terrazzo Restaurant (excellent spicy penne and good Margarita pizza) and OakRestaurant (salad and complimentary bread provided), excellent entree options as well.||A perk for me is the spa had all the amenities, hot tub, steam room, sauna, slippers and robes. Request Victoria for a massage. She gave one of the best aromatherapy massages I’ve ever had. ||Be aware there are wonderful and cuddly cats roaming freely outside. The hotel takes good care of the cats so there is no need to feed them. They love the attention and the only challenge is when they want to come in while you are eating and they want to receive food or be played with during buffet dining. Otherwise, a resort we would be happy to return back to when flying into Amman. ||Another heads up is during the winter time, they do not turn on the AC so rooms are likely to be lowest at 22-23 Celsius or 71-72 Fahrenheit. It is warmer near the Dead Sea so opening up the windows allowed for a fresh breeze but flies can enter the room if curtains are not covering the windows.

The service is excellent, the entire staff is very warm and welcoming. If you have a room facing the pool, it can be very loud. It felt more like a resort for families with young kids and the property feels a bit dated. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing time, you may want to reconsider. Otherwise it is a very clean property and a great location on the Dead Sea.

The facilites, the spa and the comfort was outstanding!! What I find amazing every time I visit this hotel, is the kindness of their staff and how generous they are. They are very approaching, helpful, open and so kind. The kitchen staff in the mosaic restaurant are so gracious and polite. The manager and chef Ihab took such an amazing care of my parents and prepared special dishes for them. They even remembered our last trip from a year before. It’s not just professionalism it’s their personal approach that makes the difference! Hats off for all the employees in the hotel, and thank you for making our yearly trip to Jordan feel more welcoming.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms are spacious and offer a great view, making it a perfect spot to relax. Everything was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. There are lots of pools to enjoy, and the private beach is easily accessible. We also dined at the Oak Tree restaurant, where the food was excellent. The staff were all attentive and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. A special shout-out to Muhammad Sammi from the mini bar, who kindly gave us bottles of water before we left. Highly recommend this place!

We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Dead Sea. It is a nice and clean hotel and has a lovely quiet resort feel to it. ||The best part is the direct access to the Dead Sea; which allowed us to float on the Dead Sea very comfortably in Dec. There are round trip buggy rides that took us up from the Dead Sea back to the hotel, and fresh water showers nearby to give you a rinse immediately after floating in the Dead Sea (and covering yourself with Dead Sea mud). I can’t imagine doing this more comfortably on a cool-cold day in December than at a resort like this. ||Highly recommended!

Outstanding Service! I had an exceptional check-in experience thanks to Mohammad Othman at the Marriott front desk. His service was truly outstanding — warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. He gave us a very detailed introduction to the hotel facilities and amenities, helped add points to my Marriott Bonvoy membership, and also arranged a late check-out for us, which made our stay even more comfortable. Mohammad’s hospitality really made us feel welcomed, and he represents the best of Marriott service. We absolutely loved our stay here and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you, Mohammad othman!

We spent truly wonderful days here with the whole family. The rooms are beautifully designed and exceptionally comfortable, offering everything you need to feel at home. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead. The food was excellent, with great variety and consistently high quality. But what makes this place truly special is its breathtaking location overlooking the Dead Sea. The view alone is worth the stay. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Who is managing this place?! The team lacks knowledge about the basics of welcoming guests, helping with luggage, taking away used towels and cups from the pool area to keep clean. There are so many flies around the pool. The staff doesn’t smile, they’re busy on their phones, they don’t look polished or neat… Some are helpful, some try to help but don’t know how, and many just don’t seem to care. Many don’t look like they are happy at work. Marriott standards down the drain!! I don’t blame the staff… I see lack of management, standards, and training. A pity because you have a beautiful site and lovely beachfront. But nothing is taken care of. Having said that the quality of service and food in the Tavern and Oak Tree is very good. Please save your hotel by having proper standards. We love Marriott… It’s so sad to see how badly this hotel is run.
