TLDR- Pros: Views, cute, right on ocean with beach access, very pet friendly, very clean, nice staff. Cons- cold (heater didn't work well), 32" TV had dark and light areas so when the movie has low light it's very hard to see, bed is not comfy, poor cell service, stale breakfast. In depth - Cute older motel with oceanfront views and beach access. Very nice beach and view. Cute beachy theme in our room. Older but very clean. Very small but cool glass brick shower in bathroom. Very pet friendly. Bed was not very comfortable compared to my tempurpedic. Laminate floors, and heater system didn't quite keep us warm enough at night, but here was an extra blanket in the closet area. Big covered patio and yard area. Very good for dogs :) They had tea, coffee, apples (old and bruised), oranges, and donuts for breakfast, (donuts were stale Franz box donuts)- unless that's your cup of tea, I wouldn't count the breakfast as an amenity. It's about 3.5 miles to restaurants in Yachats. I had spotty service unable to make a phone call but could text with Verizon. My partner has no service (SOS) with prepaid wireless. They do have Wifi. Overall decent for the price.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! Our back door didn’t lock. We noticed at 2AM that due to temperature, or humidity the door had shrunk and it no longer latched. We were ground floor, and the back deck had a very low fence. We were also in the unit on the end closest to the road. Our front door had nothing but a weak door handle lock, and a chain that looked like it had been installed in the 50’s. This is extremely unacceptable. A bare minimum legal requirement for a hotel is doors that lock. My partner has CPTSD. He has a hard time sleeping in his own apartment due to paranoia he’s going to be attacked. This was the first time he has tried to travel in years. This utterly failure on management’s part stinted his progress. It also meant we spent an entirely sleepless night, and had to cancel the rest of our trip, because my partners mental stress was so high. I contacted management and no one cared. I asked for my money back, which I think is a fair compensation for the long lasting physiological damage this caused my partner, and was told there was nothing they could do. The room was beautiful, but the late check in policy needs work. They left our room completely unlocked, with the windows open. The entire room was sticky from humidity when we arrived, and it was full of bugs. Plus the refrigerator made an extremely distracting popping noise all night. 100% the most uncomfortable night I have ever spent in a hotel room.

Google
It’s a cute spot and the guy working the desk when we arrived was great. However they really need to update the interior of the rooms and put in doors that don’t rattle when a car pulls up 😂. Also side tables with drawers would be nice for extra storage since there is no closet and the dresser is small. Bonus our room does have an outside seating area, and it’ll be nice to go down to the beach area when it warms up a bit

Great place to stay, all three staff I met were really friendly and helpful. Direct access to beach and a short drive to town. Room was clean and comfortable.

Google
This place is great! It has an old fashioned feel with great service and basic amenities. The beach access is beautiful and accomodating. I appreciate the fire pit as well, as we love to sit around it with the family when we stay there every summer.

Google
An amazing place to stay, especially if you have dogs. We have two old black labs that were so happy for the big back yard area and the doggy bags of goodies they were supplied that included a bed, a towel for drying off after beach time, a bowl, snacks and poo bags. Super caring staff and just an all around great place to stay. Yummy donuts and fruit each morning too.

We were on the road for 8 days and this was our favorite place that we stayed at! Rooms are so clean and nicely decorated. The staff were so friendly and brightened our stay. They had dvds that you could watch in your room. It’s right on a private beach that was so beautiful to walk around and see the sunset. We would travel to the Yachats area again just to stay at this place. Thank you for the great stay!

Google
This place is a GEM! I love finding little locally owned motels for trips, not just to save money, but also to meet interesting people and see interesting places. I’ve stayed at quite a few motels around the country and none of them were as nice as this one. I was honestly blown away by everything, including the service. Everyone was so nice. They give you a little dog bag and let you check out books or board games for your stay. The rooms are large for what you pay. None of this even compares to the incredible view right out back. This was our first time in Oregon, and the beach view didn’t disappoint. So nice to be able to walk right out the door to the beach that’s also dog friendly. Cute towns and beautiful sights nearby to explore. We will be back!

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to stay at the beach this is a great place to go. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a nice covered sitting area to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. It's right on the beach with a beach access.

Linda K.

Yelp
Great dog friendly hotel with simple but nicely decorated rooms and huge grassy area that has steps down to a deserted beach. Very good value for the area.

Taylor S.

Yelp
We only had the chance to stay here for one evening, but we wish we could have stayed longer! The motel is perfectly located with a front row to the ocean. The staff is incredibly kind and the rooms are perfect - you even get a little patio/seating area with your space! A must-stay spot!

Yelp
This was our second visit to Dean's. It was a spur of the moment decision because the weather looked like it was going to be nice. The rooms are incredibly clean. The housekeeping does an amazing job. We don't spend much time in the room in the winter time, we are out walking the beach or just relaxing on a blanket You can go down to the beach and watch the sunset or they have nice benches at the top of the cliff with a perfect view of the sunset. We really like coming here and bringing our labrador along. I think she enjoys laying on the beach as much as we do

Margie S.

Yelp
We went there on our wedding night with our dogs. The room was beautiful with a beach design. We could see the ocean from our room and our room had a fireplace too. Very comfortable and quiet plus they had a bag for the dogs to use with a dog bed, towel, water bowl and treats. It was very romantic and special for us. We will definitely be going back. Thank you so much for the wonderful honeymoon night.

Yelp
We finally made it back to this wonderful place. Peaceful and quiet. Comfortable rooms and beautiful location. It is one of my favorite places to stay. Step out your door to a huge grassy area and straight to the gorgeous sandy beach. Extremely friendly and nice staff. I highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Okay, so we're not rating this motel compared to 5-star hotels. Right up front they state they're a 2-star motel or "lodge". With that said, we knew what we were getting into. My husband and I stayed here three nights while traveling up and down the Oregon coast. We found it to be quaint, unique, comfortable, and very clean. The staff was very friendly. We were quite pleased! We got to talk to one of the owners who told us about the history of the motel and how they acquired it. Most of the motel is original from the 1940's with some updating done. The place has it's own access to the beach which was quite beautiful. We will definitely be returning!

Yelp
I don't want to give Deane's a two star review. By itself, the accommodations are as advertised, cozy, mid-century, marine. It's no-frills and would be exactly the right kind of place except for one thing: the noise, specifically REALLY LOUD MUSIC blaring from the adjacent room. And by 'really loud', I mean shaking-the-furniture-having-to-talk-at-an-elevated-volume kind of loud. It wasn't the kind where just turning on the TV drowns it out. It was unreasonably, obnoxiously, rudely loud. If I wanted to sleep in a nightclub, I'd have booked a room in one. That being said, we went to the manager's office and asked them to have the neighbors turn the music down to a respectful volume. They said 'no' because it wasn't yet curfew time. My jaw hit the floor. The management actually refused to ask the people to turn the music down to an acceptably polite level. This is more of a problem than the actual noise. I do not object to people having a good time. I do not object to playing music that I can hear. I object to having to pay close to 200 bucks a night to listen to the bass shake my bed. I object to a policy that makes zero business sense. Apparently, Deane's has so much business that they don't need to enforce a 'reasonably quiet' rule that literally every other hotel has. "Before Curfew" does not give guests license to recreate disco inferno. The only thing missing was a mirror ball. The other issue I had is that the front desk personnel were abrupt and officious at check in. Being told that we should have read their email about the new check in policy was off-putting. You don't denigrate your guests. Not every guest sits on the edge of their seat hoping to get an email from Deane's, especially when we've been on the road, you know, driving. It would have been simpler just to smile and explain the new Covid-related check in policy. Or maybe *gasp* post a sign on the door explaining the new rules. Plus, he spent more time blaming the County for the new reality. It's not the County. It's common sense. No sane person would object to a no-contact check in. So, that's two strikes. If Deane's costed the same as a Motel 6, I'd be willing to chalk this all up to deciding to stay in a cheap motel. Heck, the only Motel 6 I've ever stayed at was quieter than this place. But, Deane's is not a Motel 6. It's far more expensive - in a resort town - on the beach. And it is not worth half the price of a Motel 6 in an industrial park next to a freeway. There is no shortage of over-priced underwhelming accommodations on the Oregon Coast. Unless you're tweaking on GHB after a night of raving in a 90's night club, you might consider going elsewhere.

Yelp
We had never been to Yachats area before and thought we would take a trip down there. Looking online I wanted a ground floor and easy access to take Miss Pugsly outside. This was a great place to stay and the staff was excellent! You also have picnic tables and small bbq's outside each unit you can use to make meals. They also have an ocean view and gorgeous sun sets. There are rooms with kichens available. Our little Miss Pugsly had a great time running on the grass and the beach. All the guests were so good at cleaning up after their pets too. The rooms are no smoking rooms. For those that smoke can go outside and smoke. They have a large fire pit available to use. Bring your own wood. BBQ mashmellows, hot dogs, ect. This is a rustic lodging that is clean and quaint. The beach is mostly private beach area and not crowed with tourists. We feel we are too old to camp, but we can still enjoy the beauty of outdoors here. This is our new favorite place to stay. It was also right in the heart of summer season and the price seemed very fair. In the off seasons they also run specials and can send you the specials if interested.

Yelp
The pics of "King Room - Ocean View" are deceiving. There is no cabinet that opens to a small sink and hot plate/stove. There is a very small microwave and fridge. And, the view of the ocean is quite a bit farther away from the room than it appears from the pic taken. It is clean and the staff were friendly.

Maci N.

Yelp
The only downside to a great place was discovering the shower is not "private". The plexi glass wall allows your full body silhouette to be seen to anyone using the property after dark. There is nothing left for the imagination.

Yelp
Deannes Oceanfront Lodge is and old school flat Motel that is updated with bright paint, lots of light , ocean front with the charm every 50's style motor lodge could only dream of. Rates are great Beds comfortable and it's quiet and close to Yachats. Highly recommend
google avatar

Savannah R.

Yelp
Booked our room in a hurry for a surprise trip to yachats, Deanne's turned out to be the perfect place! Checking in was quick, and the woman working the reception desk was as sweet as can be. Our room was clean, accommodating, and to be honest, the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! The private patio behind the room was a perfect place to spend the evening and even do a little bit of yoga. With the beach being just a couple steps away from our room, we got to enjoy our trip to the fullest. If you're on a budget but looking for the comfort and charm of a b&b, this is the place to go.

Cher B.

Yelp
This is the cutest little place. Clean white bathroom and bedroom. Yes it's an oldie but a goodie. Very friendly checkin, there's a plethora of movies and a dvd in each room. We had a little kitchenette that had everything you would need for cooking. The back area is ideal for watching the ocean under cover if the weather is bad. All in all would I stay here again; heck yeah!
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
It's like walking into your families childhood summer beach cabin. 3 minute walk to the beach, and super dog friendly. The front desk gives you a doggie bag, with a dog bed and a towel for your fur babies. There is a wash station outside to wash the sand off. We felt nice and cozy in our room. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely fell in love with this place! So much charm - a great little jewel on the coast. The rooms are so comfy, clean and a wonderful bed for a great rest after playing on the pristine beach. The view from my room/bed made me never want to leave. The back patio is covered with sitting areas for days where the weather might be a bit stormy...I enjoyed watching the storm come in while bundled up out of the wind and rain. What I loved about this place was it wasn't in town where it's packed in and crowded. I was able to take my dogs to the beach for hours without another person around as if it were my own personal paradise. I really cannot wait to come back. Everything really was perfect! Thank you to Chad and the other staff for being so welcoming and friendly. I will see you again!!!

Yelp
Let's set aside for a moment the mind-blowing fact that the federal minimum wage remains $7.25 an hour and yet it has become almost impossible to find a roadside motel for under $200: If ever there was a roadside motel worth $200 a night, it would be Deane's Oceanfront Lodge. Our room was impeccably clean, well outfitted with a functional tiny kitchen space, and it even came with some accessories to keep the puppies happy. Plus, it really is right on the ocean, and even our interior-facing room with a patio facing someone's home felt both private and luxuriously seaside. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was fast, the front desk staff were the exact right level of friendly -- we loved our stay and would recommend it to anybody.
google avatar

Susie M.

Yelp
We just had our third visit here. This quaint little place is charmingly old-fashioned yet functional and clean. Crank up the heat, and open the window to enjoy the sound of the surf and the smell of the sea. The beach is just a short walk. This lodge is in between towns so there's not a lot of people on this beach.
google avatar

Frank W.

Yelp
We found this older motel situated a few miles north of the downtown area to be just what we expected. The staff is very helpful and the room was both clean and quiet. Ours contained a king size bed, small refrigerator, microwave and a small TV. All rooms share a patio with picnic tables and small BBQ's. The reason Oceanfront is included in the motel's name rather ocean view is because one must navigate across an expansive lawn to reach the beach. The breakfast offered was pretty lame so we ate elsewhere. Overall this property offers a good value and we would be happy to stay there again.
google avatar

Simone A.

Yelp
Booked on a whim as we were driving up the coast and needed a place to stay for the evening. Deane's Oceanfront Lodge was cute, cozy, and perfectly located. Room was spacious and well kept up, plenty of hot water in the shower. TV had lots of channels to choose from, and they also provided a DVD player, with DVD's to borrow to watch. We really enjoyed the beach access and ocean views from our room. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating! Will certainly stay here again in the future!

Yelp
Traveling with dogs, especially two large ones, makes it very difficult to find someplace to stay, not to mention charge you a small fortune for the "privilege". This place gets an A+++!! The rooms are adorable, CLEAN and cozy. The back area is huge and takes you right to the most amazing beach for both dogs and people. It was so peaceful. This place oozes nostalgia even down to the music playing in the lobby area in the morning. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. This is truly a fabulous place to stay and we will return and highly recommend to all our friends!

Scott P.

Yelp
We had a really wonderful stay 9/20 with our 2 small dogs. Really nice room with a cottage vibe. Large field leads to amazing beach. Super comfortable and even had a dog bed, towel and bowl waiting for us. Admittedly, on first try at getting a room, the vacancy sign was lit but a less than pleasant man at the desk said no rooms. I mentioned the sign and he just shrugged. Tried again a few days later and the lady at the desk was a complete professional AND we got a room. So very glad we tried a second time
google avatar

Roberta Z.

Yelp
This place was OK, small but cozy. My problem is that I paid close to $1000.00 for only five nights. Checking my bank statement for this month I see that an extra charge of $33.45 was added a day AFTER we checked out. I have telephoned twice now for an explanation with each time being told that the manager will call me and so far NO calls and NO explanation. I realize this is a small amount of money, but I want an answer. We do NOT smoke, have NO pets, did not steal any flimsy towels or wash cloths. :-) This is very bad business practice. We will NOT stay there again.
google avatar

Heather A.

Yelp
We had such a good time here, spent 2 nights there. The front desk folks were great, can't remember her name but the girl was my favorite. We bbqed on the back patio on the bbq they provided, we had a fire in the fire pit on site. This made it so much more fun. The rooms we nice and small with fireplace and basic needs. It was great and we will be back often.

Francesca B.

Yelp
This "lodge" advertised remodeled rooms. It was so dirty, manager was not very friendly (male). Back patio overlooking ocean was also not very clean. The room floors (we had 6, came with a group) had sand on them, we would not walk barefoot. Bathrooms were dirty.
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
You have a wonderful place, a collision of things I love: the ocean, a simple and green space, QUIET, a minimum of children, a maximum of dogs, comfortable and gracious bed and room, and no pressure from the staff. One MAJOR criticism, though: please get yourselves an ICE MACHINE. Otherwise all very good, thanks for the unique and pleasant stay, and I wish you continued success.
google avatar

Sue H.

Yelp
Perfect place to meet up with friends. You can walk the beach at Covid safe distances and sit on the patio to visit - again, at Covid safe distances. It was a fun time meeting up with friends and then going back to our cozy individual rooms. Deane's is dog friendly and they have a no contact check in system.
google avatar

Kelli H.

Yelp
Very happy we decided to stay here. The rooms are very clean and the staff very accommodating. The rooms have everything you need, including a DVD player. There's complimentary movies in the office as well. They're the pet friendliest place I've ever been to. They gave us a bag filled with: a water bowl, dog treats, beach towel (for wet, sandy paws) and a sheet to put on the bed. The private beach is really cool and you can hear the waves crashing from your room. In addition they have a nice big lawn, picnic tables, outdoor games and fire pit. Everything is just steps outside the back door from the room.

Yelp
Ten years ago, we had stayed here for a few days and loved it. Back then it was called Soma's and the motel was painted pink - most likely what got our attention. The huge attraction to this place all those years ago? We remembered the huge backyard that led to the beach. It felt like our own private gateway to the sun, sand, and sea. Fast forward to the present day. After exchanging ownership 2 or 3 times, the motel, now called Deane's Oceanfront Lodge, has made a few improvements to keep up with the times. For example, there's now a wide-screen TV, coffeemaker, mini fridge, a DVD player (the front desk has a variety of movies to choose from), and of course, the obligatory WiFi connectivity. That's not what we came here for. What brought us back, was the expansive backyard, which has a cliff's edge, and leads to the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean and easy access to the beach. To us, (my wife, son, and daughter, and our dog, Ryle) this is what makes the experience truly enjoyable and breathtaking. Sure, there are beach access from other motel and lodging areas but the instant gratification of hitting the beach via the back door makes a huge difference. The room we stayed in had two rooms and was comfortable enough. Again, there maybe better accomodations elsewhere but the backyard ... the backyard is what makes it for us. My family, for sure, would want to come back for another visit. It's also about a two mile drive into Yachats.
google avatar

Theresa J.

Yelp
OH, we so hope we get to go back someday!! Just as everybody else says, there's more than you could ever want, and the beach is RIGHT THERE. You're ON it. The family who runs it are warm, gracious people. The office is so friendly and inviting. You want to just hang in the office, but then you'd miss out on your lovely room!
google avatar

Emma N.

Yelp
Highly recommend this location. We stayed in Room 15, which was recently remodeled when we were there. Lovely white-washed wood throughout, super comfortable king bed, super clean bathroom with nice shower. Lovely patio with views of ocean. Beach is literally 50 feet from the patio, with just a grass lawn between you and a short staircase to the sand. Property is dog-friendly, which we love. next time we'll have to bring the dog with us. Very nice staff as well, got a great recommendation when we checked in to go try Luna's (3 miles south, freshly caught seafood), it was an excellent dinner. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I'm an interior designer and I LOVE the quaint mid century vibe to this place. Immaculate and clean with the cutest 1950's kitchenette!! Nice people too. We had a WONDERFUL 24th anniversary here. They even had my flowers waiting in my room as my husband arranged

Yelp
Just stayed at Deane's Oceanfront Lodge from June 12-15, 2019 and I stayed in one of the newer rooms accessible around the north side of the lodge. The good: very quiet, very good and functional bathroom, lots of outlets, good heating, including a nice electric fireplace in bedroom, TV worked well, plenty of space (for one at least), friendly staff (based on limited interaction), and mostly pleasant interior. The not so good, especially for an older person (I'm 74, but in moderately good shape): very uncomfortable chairs in the main room that were too short for the one table so I couldn't eat at the table, bed on the soft side (I like firm mattresses), hard floors/no carpeting or rugs, view of ocean not so good as the motel is about a football field from the ocean, no real breakfast. Then there's one bad thing: if you stay in one of the newer rooms accessible around the north side, you have to exit or enter 101 onto or from a tiny, unmarked dirt road. It's frankly dangerous. The lodge has no lighting or marking of the road at this time, and I would strongly recommend against renting rooms 14 or 15 since they can only be accessed by this dirt road. Overall, this is a nice place with well-meaning management. However, if you stay in 14 or 15, it's at best three stars because of the dangerous ingress/egress. Also, it's not the best place for an older traveler, but it is a very quiet and well-kept up lodge. My compromise: four stars.

Yelp
I found this place through a third party app while on a road trip down the West Coast. As soon as I made my reservation, I received an email from Bonnie to confirm our check in time. We were not planning to arrive until very late and the office would be closed but she made sure we got access to our room. She even upgraded us to an ocean view room at no extra charge! During our road trip, we stayed at pricey 4 and 5 star hotels and to be honest, this was my favorite out of all. The room had character, it was clean, and cozy. Will stay here again if I ever get a chance. Pros: Great price for the quality Ocean view rooms Very clean Complimentary donuts and coffee in the morning Extremely courteous and attentive staff- I left my shoes in the room and they were kind enough to mail them to my home. Cons: Absolutely none
google avatar

Sandy S.

Yelp
What a warm and welcoming environment! So glad we found this place! The owners and employees were kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable for us and our 2 dogs. Beautiful view and the beach is literally in the backyard. Sometimes traveling with dogs can be a hassle but staying here made it so much easier. AAAAA+++
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
Our only experience at Deane's was unpleasant and uncomfortable. We had a room with an old metal kitchenette unit taking up valuable space. We did not need or ask for this "extra." There was no place to sit except the bed. The free breakfast was minimal and we just had breakfast in Yachats during our stay. The view and back patio were nice and the staff was helpful. We just needed a bigger room and more chairs. We felt it was over-priced for the "amenities" offered. This is a mid-century motel with small rooms, so don't expect a lot. In truth, the Silver Surf Motel is a better deal and closer to Yachats. The Fireside is too expensive and Dublin House is a pit. So, that means we stay at Silver Surf from now on. Other people we know like Deane's and that's fine. We all have different tastes and likes.

Char B.

Yelp
Have stayed here on two separate occasions. Love it, they made some minor renovations since our last visit and I really liked that there was now laminate flooring as opposed to the carpeting there was the first stay. It's a short walk across their back field and down a well made set of stairs to the beach. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Hot coffee, donuts and fruit in the lobby every morning. Definitely recommend this little gem.
google avatar

Karl H.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised when I found this gem. This place is one of my favorite places to stay in Oregon, maybe the US. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are walking distance to the beach. The rooms are quaint and artistically decorated. This is not modern architecture, but a charming renovation of old fashioned coastal beach life. They also have, by far, the best Wifi of any hotels I've stayed in, on the coast of Oregon. And they have pet rooms, for us pet lovers! They were super helpful to me, while I relocated and traveled to care for a family member and made me feel right at home.

Yelp
Stayed at this little motel a couple of weekends ago. Our check-in was quick, and the staff member who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and had cute decor. The rooms have DVD players, and you can borrow movies from the collection in the lobby. Otherwise, there are a ton of channels to choose from. The beach is a quick walk from the back door of your room, and since the motel is located away from town, the beach feels more secluded, which is nice. If I find myself near Yachats again, I would definitely book a room here!

Bryn G.

Yelp
This is the best place!! We stayed in an ocean view room and it is the best! We booked our room last minute while in Cresent City and was going to be getting there past check in time, which is 9pm, so we gave them a call and they were more than accommodating and nice in regards of our late check in. They were the nicest people ever! The bed was great and the showers were so cute. We got up in the morning and were able to go to the lobby and get free coffee and donuts and walk along the beach to enjoy them and see cute doggos. This place is a hidden gem and a must stay! Thank you Deane's!!
google avatar

Asya B.

Yelp
I really can't say enough about this place... It was so amazing! Not only are they dog friendly but they seemed to actually enjoy having dogs around. When we checked in they gave us a bag with a sheet to cover the bed so our dog could lay on it, a food/water bowl and a bag of dog treats. The room was so cozy and even had a kitchenette and small fireplace. We always have to keep our hotel rooms chilly because our Saint Bernard gets very hot, so I also appreciated that our room had an extra blanket to keep me warm. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach was only a one minute walk away. They even had a hose to wash the sand and slime off our boots and our dogs paws after walking on the beach! Our stay was quiet and relaxing. It really felt like the staff went above and beyond to make our stay here an enjoyable one. We just loved this place and will definitely be staying here next time we visit the Oregon coast!

Yelp
During our honeymoon tour of Oregon, we ended up needing a room that we had not planned for. We call the hotel where we were to be staying the next night but they had no room available for the unexpected night. They referred us to Deane's. The people there were very kind and accommodating and though it was a last minute booking, when they found out it was our honeymoon trip they had two small bottles of champagne, some candy and some freshly cut flowers from the front garden in our room when we got there. The room was small but cozy and most importantly clean. They had to leave and renovation and obviously put a lot of thought into the decor and layout. It was a short walk to the beach what a lovely view and it ever out that way again we will certainly book a room here!!!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed two nights, Oct. 6th and 7th 2018. The place was clean and in good repair. Only a few minutes out of town. I gave it 4 stars because of the price. I felt it was a little high for the quality of the room and the establishment itself. Had it been about 40 dollars less per night, I'da given it five.

Yelp
I'm not a hotel person and especially not a motel person. I'm more into timeshare condos. However this place was really nice. Very clean and bed was comfortable. Extremely friendly staff. Room and bathroom are small but again clean. There is a back door of your room that goes out to the back of the motel in a shared covered patio. You walk a little to the stairs and walk down to the beach. We saw a seal on the beach and in the morning saw deer by our room. Free DVDs and games and in am free donuts and coffee. Would stay there again.

Yelp
It is SO hard for me to write this review. I enjoyed my recent last-minute overnight stay very much. I enjoyed a quaint, spotless room. I was spoiled by amazing food (recommended by staff). I was gobsmacked by the massive beach that I enjoyed all to myself. I LOVED how quiet and peaceful my slumber was. Hard to write this review b/c I don't want this place to change or get too popular.

Yelp
From the minute we left, I've been angling to go back to Yachats and stay at Deane's. Our very comfortable room was replete with just the right amount of kitsch-- not so much that I felt like the proprietor lacked self-awareness, but just enough to remind us we were staying in an "oceanfront lodge." The room also featured a vintage "kitchenette" which we got a kick out of but didn't use, and a faux wood stove. Our back door opened onto a covered patio, where we had our own small grill and picnic table. A large lawn was beyond that, at the end of which was a wooden staircase leading to the pristine beach below. The motel lobby and common area featured an extensive DVD library, and other amenities (flashlights, ponchos, etc.), and fruit and pastries were available for guests in the morning. Deane's is not a five star resort hotel, but given its location and the fact that the rooms are totally serviceable, their rates are an absolute bargain. We paid under $100 for our room, and rates increase only slightly during the summer on-season. I hope to visit again!

Yelp
Our stay here was everything we wanted and much more. Deane's is amazingly comfortable, clean, and absolutely pet friendly. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in because they provided a pet care package for the duration of our stay. We had forgotten a few items for our bbq night but the friendly staff again helped us out. Our "fur baby" enjoyed all the long walks and meeting other fur people as well, there were convenient pet mess stations too! We definitely will recommend this establishment to friends and family who are looking for a place to stay in Yacahts and when we go for another coastal get away we will definitely be staying at Deane's again!

Yelp
Spent 3 days here. We usually stay at a vacation rental in Yachats but due to the time constraint and it being La Dee Da Parade time(July 4th) we could not find one. We decided to give this lodge a chance. All in all they are delightful. We still like to stay in a house rental more as it is quieter then living next to other people but it was really not that bad. Dog friendly too. They have picnic tables out back for you. You have a great view and a beach that's mostly private since the spot is about 3 miles or so from Yachats. The glass squares and the pink tile in the bathroom is really nice 40s decor. We also have a kitchen "unit" which is a steel cupboard basically that opens up with 3 burners, a small kitchen sink, and some drawers.. you have to see it to believe it. And functional! We cooked on it a couple of times. We wish the window that looks out at the ocean would not be sealed shut as you cannot hear the ocean if you cannot open the window. Yet the front windows open up to the highway and parking lot side. :( The owners are wonderful and charming. The maid service is top notch and if you are needing something that is not available in the room they might just have it if you ask.

Yelp
I was really rooting for this place and would have liked to give it five stars:) I wasn't expecting a whole lot since it was near the beach (most of the time, even with an ocean view room, you're too far away to see the water) and under $100 dollars. Upon checkin the manager was super friendly and nice - family atmosphere, offered help with anything I needed and went out of her way to get me an early check in. The owners were friendly but not overly so... Perhaps it's because of my age, but every time they talked to me instead of looking at me after asking a question, they looked at their screen or were on their way out the door, not looking for a real reply. :/ The room was adorable! Unfortunately I didn't notice the smell until after 9pm, when their office hours end. I couldn't fall asleep because of the dusty/moldy smell coming from the comforter and floors. Owner in the morning confirmed they're not often washed, however she didn't seen super concerned and didn't offer any sort of refund despite the room not being clean. She did mention in the future they may switch to duvet covers to keep it from happening again. There is also wire mesh under the sink near the wall that can cut pretty well- be careful if you have kids. Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors snore through the night. Fresh fruit and coffee were always available in the office, and the manager was always happy to get you anything you need! Overall the experience depends on which staff you come in contact with and probably when your room was last cleaned. I absolutely loved the back yard area. There is a staircase leading right down to the beach! It is about 225 feet from your back door, to beach access. If you're looking for an older, homey, relaxing place with nothing fancy (and don't have any minor allergies to things that smell like they've come out of a basement) then this is the perfect spot :)) super cute daffodils are in the front of each room as well!
