Dear Lisbon - Charming House

Dear Lisbon in Porto is an absolute gem! Its location is easy access to all the main attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The hotel itself has a perfect balance of modern comfort and stylish decor. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The staff, however, truly made my stay exceptional. They were always available with a smile, offering fantastic tips to explore the city, from hidden gems to must-visit restaurants. A special thanks to Roberta and Rafael! Breakfast was, without a doubt, the highlight of my stay. It was beautifully prepared with love, and plenty of variety – a perfect way to start each day.

The staff is outstanding, especially Roberta and Rafael, who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to start the day off right. A charming hotel with friendly and helpful staff, located in a great spot in Lisbon. A lovely touch was the handwritten note left in the room each day. The common areas are beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options. They were also happy to accommodate dietary preferences, including vegan. The rooms are small but cozy, and the central location makes it easy to explore the city. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service made it a great stay!

Our stay at Charming House – Lisbon was a delightful experience. The hotel has a cozy charm and is perfectly situated within the historic old town area, making it a convenient base to explore the city.||The service was exceptional and had a warm, personal touch. A special mention goes to the front desk team, Beatriz Fortes and Rafael Couto, who were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.||While the rooms could have been slightly larger, the style of the property and its prime location more than made up for it. The breakfast menu offered a thoughtfully curated selection of items, which we thoroughly enjoyed.||Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would highly recommend Charming House – Lisbon for anyone visiting the city.

This is an absolutely charming European boutique hotel nestled in the Sta. Catarina neighborhood. While the rooms are small, they are well appointed, clean and comfortable. We were greeted at check in with a choice of beverage ( wine, coffee, etc.) and enjoyed the fresh and delicious buffet breakfast that is included. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The space has been newly renovated. would highly recommend. Would welcome the opportunity to stay here again!

This is SUCH a lovely place! Really good location as not too far from public transport and/or walking to places. The staff is SOOOOO nice and the room we booked was large, light and equipped with everything we needed. Excellent beds! Everyday, they left us a very nice message with ideas to visit/do and always helpful with restaurants if needed. Breakfast is fabulous, best scrambled eggs ever, but can be a squeeze if everyone shows up at the same time.|Here and there they might need to 'update' slightly (a lick of paint or fixing) and here and there the 'cleaning' could've been slightly better. |We would definitely stay here again if we went back.

The staff are really friendly, the breakfast is lovely and the pool and guest lounge area is great and relaxing. The team even arranged a free airport transfer for us. However our room (double room street view) was SO small. I notice reviews mentioning that the room is small, and we live in a townhouse back at home so thought we would be fine. But it's so tiny that our two medium sized suitcases cannot be open at the same time. The actual toilet is about half a metre away from the bed. The room being this small also meant that previous guests had made ALOT of a scuff marks on the walls so while the room was clean, it looked really dirty due to that. It needs to be repainted. For us staying 4 nights here, it was just too tight. If you stay in a larger room I think your stay will be amazing but I honestly can't recommend that you stay here if you can only pay the price of the double street view room.

We had a lovely stay at Charming House over Christmas 24. Its in a great location in the Bairro Alto. The place is a real gem and the staff are very helpful and attentive. I would defintely stay again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.
