Death Railway Museum and Research Centre

This museum does an excellent job of explaining everything about the Death Railway. There is quite a lot of detail and it is very informative. You get a voucher for a free drink/tea/coffee at the cafe with your entry.

This historical place brought us back to the times when Japanese atrocities were inhumane and intolerable. The families of these prisoners of war will never be able to forget what had been done to their family members. Hopefully all countries will learn from this and never allow this to happen again.

170 baht for entry but it was worth everything. The cruelty the prisoners of war had to endure during the building of the railway is something that should never be forgotten.

Amazing centre with very nice staff and amenities. They are extremely knowledgeable and have a genuine passion for helping people learn and understand the history of the railway. We will definitely return again. Thankyou to Andrew, Terry and the all the ladies that helped us.

historical museum if you want to saw the history from death railway . In front of museum there is cemetery of people who died during the construction of Death Railway track.. Moreover this place is 5 minute walk front Railway station

Very informative. It really have you an insight into what the POW's and foreign workers had to go through, though we'll never truly comprehend how awful it was.

Informative and well maintained. On the second floor there was a small display case with belonging that had been donated from several POW families that I found especially interesting. History, timelines and maps were helpful.

Excellent place and location. Great service and friendly staffs. Value for tickets. Very excellent museum. After walking all around then you can bring the tickets for to get the drinks free at coffee shop up stair. Excellent place that you shouldn't miss out when you come to Khanchanaburi Thailand.
