I really enjoyed the French toast and bacon. The gravy for the biscuit and gravy needs to be thickened up a bit. Very friendly good service.

We had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Debbie's. We got our food quickly, and everything was delicious! The staff was super friendly, and our waitress Hailey really made us feel heard, and made sure we were comfortable. We will absolutely be back!

Small hole in the place in Glen rose. First- waitress was very friendly & attentive. Food was bland- didn’t like the hash browns. Pancake was fine. Place needs a makeover. Again, one person opinion- but I would look elsewhere for breakfast.

Saw the 4.4 rating and decided to try it. Walked in and the place had a stale feeling, in much need of a facelift. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast with hash browns and grits. Just about everything is precooked. I could see a plate behind the cook stacked with biscuits getting cold and dried out. The hash browns were dried out and stale. The grits were overcooked and mushy. The chicken fried steak must have been frozen and tasted processed. Everything was very bland and tasteless. The best thing about breakfast was the cup of coffee which I give a C-. The waitress was nice but left in the middle of my service to go chase down a delivery man at another location.

It was a hearty breakfast. The food was cooked just right. Next time I'm in Glen Rose I will be eating here again.

Stop by here for a cozy, high-quality homecooked meal! Every single item we tried on the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. From the made from scratch cinnamon rolls, the fluffy biscuits, the hashbrowns, etc. everything was delicious and homemade there on the spot. You could tell immediately how hard the man and woman were working behind the counter to prepare fresh, wonderful food for their guests. We are very happy we happened upon Debbie's and definitely plan to return next time we're in the area!

I always get a breakfast burrito!! Their hot sauce is the absolute BEST! Always delicious & always friendly!!

Excellent breakfast and simple southern food. Friendly staff that you hope for in a small Texan town (Glen Rose TX). One nit and maybe I am picky: the coffee is made in an old-style metal drip maker from the last century (goes with the decor! ). Just add some fresh milk or cream to make the coffee drinkable. Better yet, drink tea. Reliable fast wifi! So, 4.5 stars. I'll round up. Highly recommended.

Food was okay. Just okay. They have been in a new location for a bit and either I didn't notice before or this space is the cause. When I say no frills I mean none. The building is in a strip type building. Very open. The waitress/staff use part for their office/work and it is right out there. I went to Debbie's for years a long time ago but it is not the same.

Food was simple diner fare--nothing fancy but acceptable as far as bacon and eggs and such go. I do wish for a bit more though--maybe some fresh fruit, crepes, some gourmet jellies and jams, maybe a waffle with, I don't know, pecans and honey butter? Or even a chicken and waffles option with hot honey? Mmm, I have such good ideas. The building is the end of a gas station. It's also nothing fancy but works. Service was good overall. I do like the extended (maybe all day?) breakfast food options. Bump it up a notch to make the food and menu more exciting and I'll be a regular!

The food was so overcooked (burnt) that it was not enjoyable. The worst part for me was that it was very visually seen and the waitress served it to me. I lost the taste to never go back to the place. I only gave one star due to not being able to finalize my post without giving a star rating.

It was so hot it was u real I was legitimately sweating. The sodas were in bottles, had to change my bacon to sausage she refilled my water immediately cus I asked for a glass of water burnt sausage and the ham was crisp as heck. Overall not really impressed also found hair in food as I was finishing up

We had breakfast at this place and I personally didn't like it. The food was below average and they even ran short on an item that was supposed to be included and had to substitute something else. I don't recommend this place but frankly I think options are limited.

Good homecooked food. Friendly wait staff. They serve breakfast and lunch. I was just passing through town. Great stop.

We went here for a Saturday morning breakfast. The parking log was completely full, so that was the place to be in Glen Rose. The offer a breakfast buffet for $9.99 for an adult. It's relatively modest with the basics, but the wife said the biscuits were really good. I had a pancake, which was ok, some bacon, a sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, and juice which was extra. The food is simple and plain but if the goal is to fill your belly, it works. The reason for 3 stars is that they do not social distance their tables and few people wore masks. It's a small restaurant so maybe they feel constrained, but it was a concern for me.

Bless their heart. The waitress Sheryl was great and did a great job she was so busy but took care of everyone. But the food was probably the worst breakfast I had in a long time you can tell the griddle has not been cleaned in a while or not cleaned properly the food was just bad. On the other hand it was not expensive. Maybe the cook was just having an off day

Terrible burger and fries. Dirty to go cup lid. Frozen patties rubbery texture. Fries looked raw and under cooked.

WE went for breakfast on a week day. They were crowded but service was excellent. Food was prepared perfectly and served quickly. Will definitely go again when in the area.

Best breakfast I've had in years here found here in Glen Rose! Will definitely be back. Sheryl and Debbie were so welcoming. This is a perfect little gem for a diner feel.

Came here for breakfast while camping at Dinosaur Valley State Park. There's not a whole lot of cooked to order breakfast options near the park, so we ended up here. The inside is a bit rustic and pretty basic. Went with an omelette, and it was good! Eggs were cooked well. Ordered my hash browns extra crispy, but they turned out more burned. Biscuit was fine. Gravy could use a bit of work. Oh well. Tried some of their homemade hot sauce, and it wasn't bad. They have weekly specials at a really great deal, though their prices are already pretty good. They have a buffet available during lunch.

Took our grandsons here for lunch. My husband and I had the buffet and grandkids had burgers. The buffet was solid down home cooking and was good old school diner food. The burgers must have been good, the boys ate every bite. The French fries were outstanding and obviously home made. We will make sure to come back. The people that worked there were super nice and welcoming. Diner was in an old buy, cute and clean. It was like eating at my granny's place.

If you want a good down home breakfast for a reasonable price this is the place to go in Glen Rose. Very good food and friendly efficient service.

Ordered Ham Omelette with double jalapeños, onions and tomatoes, Also, order of bacon, browned hash browns and a Dr. Pepper. Smallest chucks of ham, onion and bell pepper( not jalapeños), I've ever seen. Very small chunks of tomatoes sprinkled atop the Omelette. 1-2 Stars. Wife ordered the Debbie's Breakfast Special. Overall, she gave it 2-3 Stars. The waitress was a 5 Star: Waitstaff; Cashier; and anything that was needed. WILL NOT RETURN.

It's a small town diner, be nice. I've seen a couple reviews for this spot and they seem very cruel. Breakfast was very simple and there were many options to choose from. I visited with a family of 6 and I can say there was something for everyone. I had to pull a star because the French toast and hash browns had a weird aftertaste from the griddle. Almost like some thing may have burnt and our food pulled that flavor. Another star was pulled because there was a fly we could not get rid of and came in when the front door opened. Other than that, everything was fine and the waitress, who was working alone on Mother's Day, provided excellent service. There was a gentleman who helped bring out food from the kitchen, but otherwise the waitress ran the front area on her own and no one had to ask for anything because of the great service. My Open Face Breakfast needed salt. There isn't any salsa or Ch, so BYOS. No complaints on the coffee and the spot was clean. I would return again.

Ate the buffet. Best thing was the fresh fruit. Size and flavor were great. Buffet had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onion and peppers, pancakes, gravy,and busicuits. I missed a few things, I'm sure. Service was good. The buffet was a little confusing because they assist you in getting some food, but no one was there, and there was no signing to explain that. Food was OK, a little bland. The bacon was great. Worth another try!

We absolutely love Debbie's, we went out to Glen Rose to stay at the sky box cabins for a romantic weekend away and decided to try Debbie's for breakfast when we came into town and we came back every morning after that for breakfast. Sheryl is an absolute rockstar and she is sweet and attentive as can be. The food is beyond delicious, the biscuits and gravy will make you never want to eat anywhere else and then the grits are off the charts. It's mommas home cooking away from home, it will without a doubt be our go to every time we visit Glen Rose!!!

Local feel, where older men gather for coffee and talk. Had the breakfast buffet and loved it. Biscuits were crazy good, hash browns were perfect and everything was fresh. I got to have cherry cheesecake with breakfast and banana pudding, all of it was great. Bought a bottle of their pepper sauce, new favorite at home condiment. I live over an hour away but will likely go back for a breakfast treat. Service was better than at a fancy restaurant too.

Great breakfast! Home cooking! My favorite is the biscuit and gravy, but it's all good. Oh, and the grits are delicious.

While staying in the area we had breakfast here two days in a row...the food was great and a good value, but the reason for our second visit was our server. Sheryl- don't let her tell you she's Julie!! She made us feel like we were regulars and was all smiles and open friendliness! If you are in Glen Rose- go to Debbie's and me nice to Sheryl- she's good people and true Texas hospitality.

Some of the best food we have had in such a long time. chicken fried steak was so tender and hot!!! What a gem to have found on our anniversary trip.

Looking at it from the road, it isn't anything fancy. The food we got was good and filling. I got the ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. My husband got a western omelette with a "small" hot cake, that was anything but small, and hash browns. They were busy, so it seems is a popular place for locals and visitors alike!

Definitely a locals go to for average food. Very nice staff and friendly customers. Friendly vibe. Nice buffet offering. Reasonable prices. Simple seating arrangements without customer stacking. Felt comfortable. Quick service.

Outstanding breakfast and lunch. The waitress and cook were so attentive and so solicitous of our 94 year old mother. We will absolutely be back!

Prices are good but food was not. I hate not giving a good review because our server was great, but the food was not worth the drive. They had all you can eat waffles which my boys got. They reminded me of the limp waffles at motel breakfast bars. Coffee was weak. I asked for Honey. The honey was a honey blend (corn syrup first ingredient and honey was the last ingredient)) I really wanted to like this place. Again the server was nice, the place seemed clean. They did have a smoking and a non smoking section so if you are nostalgic for the 70's you will enjoy the smell.

This was the worst meal I've ever had in any restaurant! If I could give no stars I would. We ordered the buffet and ALL the items we had was cold. I sent the gravy back to be warmed up and it came back only room temperature. The biscuits were dry and crumbly. We will NEVER go back to this restaurant. Worst $10.50 we spent!

Breakfast here is amazing! Good portions for the price. The lady that worked there was extremely friendly and made sure we had all our extras to go with our Togo order! The food was still hot when we got back to our hotel and it was so delicious!

Small town diner with a small town atmosphere and good ole home cooking at a price that is amazing. Morning time and took the family here. Looking at the pricing I thought small portions. So I ordered a BLT and a breakfast burrito thinking they would be small. Opps. Mistake. The prices are very reasonable and the food portions generous. BLT delicious - but how can you mess up a BLT? And the breakfast burrito yummy and a substantial size. Needless to say after leaving, I was stuffed. Smoking in back, non smoking in front. Took the front though no worries, no smokey smell seeped in to the front. After the first trip, this is my favorite place to do breakfast in Glen rose. Looking forward to our return!

Had breakfast Saturday and the buffet was good and homeaid. Very nice staff also. A great little place with awesome breakfast.

I wouldn't recommend this place. Pancakes are dry and came out burnt. Ice tea and lemonade taste like metal and cups smelt bad. Hashbrowns were also burnt and dry. They serve melted butter in a plastic bottle that looked months old and crusty inside. The only good part was how hard the only server there worked doing everything in the restaurant

Their slogan is love at first bite and its so true! Family member got the all you can eat French toast= delish. I got eggs, bacon, biscuits and hash browns= delish. Other family member ordered the pork chops= delish. Biscuits were from scratch and so were the hash browns, which you could definitely taste the difference vs. Store bought. Prices were very reasonable. Food was brought out quickly. Friendly and efficient service. Definitely worth stopping if you are in the area.

Unfortunately we went on one of the hottest days all year but it didn't help that their AC was poor and compound that with the owner, workers and their families took up the 3 tables all around the only cool spot in the place - right in front of the AC blower. I can't say the food was hood or bad - just not memorable. There was an enchilada casserole with green beans and English peas that was very odd. We might go back in better weather, but hope the food is better.

The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. If you are a smoker, this place is for you. Non smokers like me, not so much. The food was average, the service friendly, the smoke horrible.

Great local restaurant with almost fresh ingredients. Customer Service was great and price is competitive. Biscuit and hashbrowns were delicious. Perfect place for brunch.

Great food and service! Had the chicken fried streak and it was amazing. Passing thru and love stopping at places like this! Debbies is a great home made restaurant. It's a must if you are really hungry!

We love eating breakfast here. Staff is so sweet. My husband normally orders from the menu & I eat off the buffet. I love their hashbrowns & biscuits! The sweet tea is always good too!

Oh my! Breakfast in a small town. Need I say more? Came in for the breakfast buffet. I think I over dosed on bacon. Thankfully not a Muslim I'd be on my way to hell instead in heaven at Debbie's. Good coffee along with great service. Reasonable prices. If you are going through be sure to stop at Debbie's.

We had come out for a birthday party and came through on saturday july 17th there was only 1 server and service was still great . The buffet has everything on it for breakfast you could ask for and they have fresh fruit and grape salad .. Thank you Sheryl for serving a full house

Really like the food at Debbies... The coffee was pretty weak the last time we went. I don't remember that being the case the previous times that we've eaten here, but it was almost undrinkable with a strong Glen Rose water flavor to it.

Dirty, staff was not friendly, atmosphere was not good. Pancakes were undercooked and burrito had a hair in it. Not recommended. I'm all about home cooking and small town diners but this was not clean and smelled like cigarette smoke.

The food was super delicious and service was great. Thanks for the home cooking! Will definitely be back when I am in the area again. If you want a good home cooked meal this is your place.

We were impressed by the pancakes. Everything tasted great and we were happy. Small little place and we enjoyed it.
